I exist in a perpetual state of child-like wonder. I have a mind caught up in innocent pursuits and I usually avoid things that are worldly, jaded or otherwise (incongruously) considered ‘adult.’ Kids live in a more peaceful, happy and positive world so why would I want to trade that for something miserable and ugly? Seeing the wondrous in the everyday is something I hope I never lose.

I do like to daydream and can come with the craziest imagination. As much as I could say I'm already dead inside, that child part is still there regardless.

Can you guys say you still have your childlike wonder; to still love and see the good in something you loved as a child, and never grew out of?

I guess a time comes when you want kids of your own, so you can experience the childlike wonders!

I still haven't gotten to that point yet. Kids are too cliché to me

I've never really grown up, so my childlike wonder is still as strong as ever. Sure I have the whole grown-up responsible and mature side to me that deals with all the "serious business" stuff. But outside of that formality, I'm pretty much just a child masquerading as an adult most of the time.

Even over fifteen years later BattleTech doesn't fail to amaze me. There's nothing more beautiful or graceful than a Timber Wolf running around at fifty mph. Unless it's running toward you. Then it's absolutely terrifying, because you're going to die, but at least it will be quick.

For some things, yes. Some of it is decidedly stuff that adult me likes, like when I'm wide-eyed at a weapons showcase (especially those by FN Herstal), but other stuff can trigger uncontrollable squeeing due to nostalgia (such as when Star Control: Origins released on Steam).

I used to in as much I used to be excited about lots of things and tended to try to see the good in things and was generally fairly hopeful and optomistic. In the last few years I fear I have somewhat lost this though becoming generally more cynical and apethetic. I guess I do still have moments of this from time to time though so perhaps it hasn't truely gone.

I actually do try to keep that childlike wonder and I still have it mostly towards cars however also when I see something that peaks my interest. Of course I don't really know if having a childlike wonder is something that leaves you or if it more just that your worldview becomes darker. Since why shouldn't you feel that way when you see something you enjoy haha.

So I enjoy a lot of the same things I did as a kid.

I had experienced this when I went to a Medieval Times for my brother's birthday a couple of days back, with my parents saying I was really into the show
