There really are a huge number of phenomonal cartoons these days. Story driven shows have been introduced and have brought along a narrative that people of all ages can enjoy. And while cartoons are at something of a cross-roads as of late, the last few years have been some of the best in cartoon history.

Im unsure if it classifies as Anime or Cartoon as its not a japan animated series, but Voltron Legendary Defender is high up on my list followed by various others like Pokemon (I seem to adore all of them despite the storylines getting old), and Yu-gi-oh. As for Cartoons the only one I can actually think of that I like is Steven Universe, other then MLP of course.

Real Adventures of Jonny Quest was great! When they finally showed what was in Ezekiel Rage's "Book of Rage" I cried. That one episode will always stick with me. The evil madman suddenly became a tormented victim. It was very powerful.
