Is Starlight the new big thing?

Someone on the Starlight Glimmer page on MLP Wiki said that Jim Miller wants Starlight to be the new big thing and replace the Mane 6. is this true?

Considering the fact she was the main focus in several episodes and there are many bronies who adore her, she's now part of the Mane cast but that doesn't mean the other ponies are being replaced. It's just adding a new character to the roster.

To be honest, I've already started referring to the mane 7. I think she will by no means replace the mane 6, but I think she's a lot more than a side character, and has become as central as the others. And at least for finales/opening episodes, it seems she's already become a huge focus, so I think in a way she may become one of the centrally-focused characters for the time being, like Twilight was/is.

If Jim "King Sombra" Miller would have twitted that, I'd know it in EQD  . Yes, it's true that's she's gotten into the central cast in FiM, but I don't think she'll completely replace the Mane6

I think so, I mean that she has gotten more screen time in the past two seasons and even during stuff the Mane 6 normally do like the conflict with the two sisters, I would like the show to have a fresh start with her and finally move on from Twilight as the main character.

I'm not her biggest fan.  She also lost some points when she stole the spotlight of what I thought was going to be a fantastic Pinkie, Maude, and Boulder episode.  While there has been some decent character development, and l will admit she has helped Twilight Sparkle in some ways. I really wish the writers would keep her big flank out of things for a while.

It would be fun to see her more often, but not take the spotlight. Like in Fluttershy Leans in. She was just helping the mane 6 and interact normally with the others. I think they shouldn't keep her out of things, but more often as secondary character in episodes.

While nothing officially was confirmed, people should not be surprised if she gets into that position. Heck, i wouldn't be surprised if she also becomes an alicorn.

Nah, I'd prefer the rest of the Mane6 becoming alicorns first

well after rewatching the s7 premiere (still hate it) I noticed its focus on sending Starlight away and then she says that she is not ready yet which may mean lots of things or maybe just nothing at all. 

I do wonder if they are going to send her on her own at the end of this season as the big finale, so S6 and 7 will focus on her more so that we get attached to her and then get the big emotional reaction at the end as we see her leave on her own journey like Twilight did.

What I pray to Celestia hope will not happen is that theyre gussying Starlight up for taking over Twilight's spot in the show. Or the mane 6 as a whole and that they pass the torch to her and her little group.......

oh yikes another thought as Discord is part of that group "where's My throne?" "I don't think you're ready for it yet" from Twilight's Kingdom. I hope that doenst come to be the case where Starlight is a princess and gets her own castle for the same set up. >.<
