spoiler Do you think the Storm King will reform?(some spoiler)

 I think he will and I hope he does. He's not as bad and heartless as we think, sure he can be evil and lust of power but he actually have unstable persona about trusting people and making friends (depend on people), like Discord. The IDW comic empathized heavily  on that, And with Tempest being his right handed "man" she might be the one to fill the space, and hoping that the storm king won't be stubborn enough to see that. I  hope they will reform him, since just how he is, i wouldn't want him being the sore loser at the end. 

What do you guys think?

Not really.

Tempest Storm just screams Starlight Glimmer 2.0 and get reformed.

The Storm King seems like a way for the movie to have one villain who will probably get reformed, and still have one stay bad.

You have to understand, the Storm King isn't nice out of some inkling of kindness in his heart, or even because he wants to ensure their loyalty to him. He's nice because he is that confident in his power and control over everyone, pure and simple. Anyone who doesn't automatically revere him or has their own interests that don't include furthering his own power will be "dismissed", as Strife can attest to.

As for what happens to him...

The tornado thing happens first. But he survives that and tries getting one last cheap shot at the Mane Six.

Then he gets turned into stone and falls from the castle balcony.

The guy gets his ass handed to him at the end, becomes stoned, shattered, and is basically RIP. Just as others said.  

Storm King is portrayed as a smug conqueror with no loyalty who has wreaked havock on other lands before the film opens. He is basically a MLP child safe version of Negan from Walking Dead. He has as much chance at redemption as Tirek. Less because ... Tirek is at least alive.

that's disappointing...it just one of those guys who let good things bypass him. I would thought he would come to appriacted tempest as the only one who he can trust and consider as a friend. and likewise for tempest. Since the two of them have in common about "friendship, trusting issues sorta thing"

But I crossing my finger that the final boss battle will be epic (like Tierk vs Twilight's battle.).please make it so!

Well, he does absorb all 4 Princesses' magic into his staff -- just like Tirek.

 

However, The Storm King's much sillier about it (in contrast to Tirek being a no-nonsense laser-beast), simply having fun with the day and night cycles -- just like Discord in his debut.

I get it how reading the book is prob different from the movie, so I hope we might get some good amount of actions in the movie that couldn't be put in words as in the book

There really isn't a reason to reform him. He's already shown that he's a manipulator that will destroy kingdoms because he can. Like another poster said, his friendliness is a facade and he's arrogant/cheeky because his power is *almost* unmatched. I genuinely think that even if he was stripped of his armies, battleships, and anything of that nature that he would not be able to integrate with society. He'd never get past the "make amends with those you've wronged" stage of Twi's friendship lessons either due to how badly he wronged others and they would (understandably) not forgive him or because he's just too stubborn, maybe both.

Even if Hasbro/IDW/Lionsgate thought he was redeemable, I think we've had ENOUGH reformation.

Care to rephrase this? I think you are trying to say Tempest is similar to Starlight, but I'm not certain. So would that make Tempest, Twilight 4.0 or 5.0 by now. I've lost count at how many times people say x character is like Twilight but I think chained together it's now 4. I disagree, but it's whatever.

Losing her horn than her friends being terrified of her destructive magic and ponies thinking she is dangerous is not "pathetic" Imagine what would have happened to Twilight if she got her horn knocked off.

I, too, was familiar with Tempest's backstory. While while I find the execution of that story somewhat flimsy in "Stormy Road", the general idea still comes across as a more solid version of Starlight's story.

There is always an option to take her disability with some dignity and move on. Tempest was basically "I am going to be a massive jerk as well as traitor to Equestria just because everypony else was a jerk to me too."

What I meant is Starlight Glimmer wanted to take away ponies cutie marks, which is equivalent of taking away their magic, just because her childhood friend got accepted into the magic school.

 

Tempest Shadow decided that the best thing to do is to take and use other ponies magic for her own selfish needs, just because of childhood trauma.

 

I am sorry but this kind of peeved me off and I just can't take her siriously.
