Why is Cadance so utterly disrespected?

When have they denied it? Celestia and Luna rule over facets of the cosmos and are comparable to other ancient deities. Celestia can be compared to Apollo of the Greek pantheon, Ra of the Egyptian gods, or Amaterasu of the Japanese kami. Likewise Luna has parallels with Artemis of the pantheon or the kami Tsukuyomi. There are even demigods of love. Cadence shares a bit in common with the Greek goddess Aphrodite or the Norse goddess Freya. Also throughout history, it was thought that kings, emperors and rulers were descended from the divine. 

They may have not outright said it but it's pretty damn well implied.

That's really the thing, Love has fallen to the wayside in the series. She's not even acknowledge in any of the two Heart and Hooves day which would be her holiday. Also love really has no need for a princess since that would also fall into friendship problem domain. Another thing is that Cadence is the middle ground between Twilight and Starlight when it comes to using magic to solve friendship problems, since she used it in small amounts to fix some couples.

Hate and disrespect? I think she is just an underrated princess because the show didnt give her enough screentime and character development she need. Princess Celestia used to be pretty underdeveloped in the show until S7 fix it, i hope the show will do same for Cadance.... or maybe its just too late because we just dont have many season left.

I didn't cherry pick. I summarized a contradiction between two of your posts that creates a tonal shift, and you therefore answered your own question posed in your OP. Someone who feels the same way as you did in your OP could come across your later  reply and believe that you are one of those that utterly disrespect the character. There no parsing of your language at all -- I went very high level. It would have gone over better of you didn't don't he whole, 'set 'em up and knock 'em down' thing. Put both sides in your OP with an acknowledgement about their contradiction to better serve your point and stave off possible confusion.

I think it's because she simply doesn't have screentime, and no explanation for why she's the ruler of the Crystal Empire (does she have royal bloodlines to past Crystal rulers? Is she's still serving for Celestia?)

I don't think she is particularly disliked. She's always portrayed with dignity while Shining is the one who gets run ragged. She's respectful and kind. She's never really had moments like Celestia where great competence is expected of her and then she's an idiot.

 

Cadance always came off like a smart cheerleader to me. Someone who was hot, popular, got the guy, but understood that these things didn't make her better than anyone else, and has great respect for the more academically inclined, which she never massively excelled at herself. She was one of the most competent people in the otherwise loathed Princess Spike for instance.

Let's be honest. She deserves it. And the blame is not on the character, but in the writers and hasbro. So, take it on with them for creating this shallow construct. It reminds me of many of the princesses employed by the disney program. So much damage was caused to the mind of female infants. It is incredible to see how insidious something so inoffensive in appearance can be. How you can manipulate the human mind since birth. It is sad. And it is everywhere, and in every form. And they re-hash the same old programs over and over again, because of? C'mon , I know you have what it takes to guess it. Yeah... the subconscious message. There is a subliminal formula. This is why you will find agents from the CIA who were formerly involved in the mk-ultra program writing books for kids. And they re-hash them because media is a form of control.

But yeah. Cadence... sigh. Should I speak in the occult terms or the superficial ones? The meaningless dialogue that is common to "normal" people, where you can only see a symbol, without truly understanding its purpose. Even when you are surrounded by them, even when you wear them and use them to buy your own food. Or should I be honest with what I think about her character? Because it is not very positive. Anyway, this is getting personal. I should remain on the surface. It is a vacuous character. That is the problem.

I can think of 3 reasons Cadence is so disrespected.

1.) The thing with marketing. (Flurry, her daughter, even has it worse)

2.) The lack of a personal episode (Shining Armor, her husband, has the same issue)

3.) The fact her talent of love wasn't explored, which would have helped deepen her character. This opening would have explored her talent a bit more.
