spoiler Spike needs to bond more with the Remane Four

The one thing I was hoping for in Best Gift Ever is different interactions between the Mane 7 that barely happen - like Spike giving a gift to somepony else whether it's Rainbow, Fluttershy, Applejack, or Pinkie - he got Rainbow, and then what happened? He traded and got Rarity. I'm tellin' yous, that crush he has on her is really affecting his relationships with the Remane Four. He had a nice bond with Flutters at the beginning of the series which the writers coulda developed! How about in Spike At Your Service when he had his life debt to AJ? The chemistry he has with Pinkie with their childish ways, and then him and Rainbow during the season 7 finale!

A large majority of the time he's interacting with just Twilight and Rarity. I understand why, with Twilight being his mom and Rarity being his "future wife", but c'mon, where's his bondings with the rest of the M6? They're his family, right? At least a portion of it - he's got others too like Discord and Starlight. But if he's gonna hang with the M6 a large majority of the time, how about developing more of a bond between him and the rest of them? Not just 2 of them.

I've been wanting to see Spike interact with the others for many years now. I mean, it WAS Fluttershy who initially opened up because Spike was there with Twilight in the first episode, yet hey don't eve hang out together in spite of Fluttershe'y enthusiasm of baby dragons. Also, he and RD are very similar when it comes to having fun and pranking. They ll call each other friends, yet Spike only really hangs with Twilight and Rarity.

Spike had a whole episode with Applejack in S3's Spike At Your Service. 

He and Rainbow Dash teamed up in S7's Finale, Shadow Play.

He and Pinkie Pie were co-commentators in the Running of the Leaves in S1's "Fair-weather friends"

He gave Fluttershy some encouragement in S5's "Scaremaster"

Wait, my "lookalike" already pointed that out? *sigh* I thought I was saying something new and true.

At least we had interactions between Spike and the others rather than none at all. Be grateful for what you got.

At this point in the series' lifespan, it might be difficult to have Spike interact/bond with other characters he's not accustomed with considering there were plenty of opportunities to do so in earlier seasons, yet this relates to pretty much everyone in the entire series. It doesn't mean it's impossible as I'm sure the writers could make something work. It's just that it would be difficult and might come across as forced, rushed, jaded, or a combination of these factors and more.

Why, so the little creep can take advantage of the other ones too? Spike is an adolescent dragon, who looks like a child and acts like a "nice guy" out of sheer carnal interest.

Let Rarity have him, after all, they are both fake and manipulative.

"Be grateful for what you got" are fighting words in this kind of debate. Write them down and you're fair game. Using such language to try and shut down unsatisfied fans is a heinous act utilized by people who defend auction houses and microtransactions.

I wouldn't recommend an episode with Spike with any of the Mane Six (except Fluttershy) in S9 anyways.

Not only that, Spike doesn't really mean a lot to me on the show as much as to you.

You know what? I actually would like to see Spike interact more with members of the mane 6 that aren't Twilight or Rarity.

It's not that he has literally never interacted with anyone else, but given instances are still few and far between.  Plus I do like it when the show pairs of characters that don't really interact much with one another, as I feel it can help certain episodes feel fresh and give us some new insights on the characters.

I am pretty sure that  he is bonding with their little group on daily basis, for some reason people only notice Twilight and Rarity. There is Bigmac and Discord, there is also two dragon friends as well as a changeling friend.
