"Whaaat? I never make a mess, ever~"

A bold faced lie if there ever was one. She was in her own world as she prepared the omelette. She shrugged after Dynamo answered her question indifferently.

"Nyaha, nevermind, just thinking out loud."

The omelette was done after a short time, and the finishing touch, the ever so slight tobasco on the top. With soy on her face, she put the finished omelette on a plate and brought it to the table, very nearly overshooting the table. Passable enough for her size.

"All yours, Dyny~! It'll kickstart your heart~!"

What Dynamo doesn't know is that currently, a new delivery is being transported to the arcade. Since Dynamo isn't there, the ponies there go ahead and install the new game machine. It's similar to a game cabinet, but instead of the usual controls, it has VR headsets. And the label on the machine reads simply reads "Two Castles". What could that mean? He and his friends won't know until they get there and check it out.

@Astral Vision, @CameoShadowness, @Windy Breeze 🥧

When Astral gets there, he is surprised that the store is swamped, and Trilby is having a hard time trying to keep the customers at bay.

... Oh, did I say customers? I meant angry mob!

Trilby is panicking because all the ponies there are angry and raising cane. Their voices are all getting blending together into one angry noise, but you can hear comments like "WE WANT SAMURAI BACK!", & "IF THERE'S NO MILITARY LEADER, THEN YOU SHOULD DO IT!", & "IF YOU DON'T FIX THIS RIGHT NOW, I'LL RETURN THE CLOTHES I BOUGHT AND ASK FOR A REFUND!"

Naturally, this is turning Trilby into quite the nervous mess as he does his best to hold off the crowd. His hat is half way off, hair matted, sweating, eyes wide, and he's waving his hooves frantically to try and calm them all down. If Beryl, Shadow, or Keen were to come here right now, it'd be quite the sight to behold! "I keep telling you, I CAN'T bring him back! I didn't even know he was leaving, let alone know where he is now!!" Trilby answers one angry complaint. "What do you MEAN me?! I'm not a soldier! I'm just a humble haberdasher!" Trilby answers another complaint. "NO!! Please, I'm begging you, don't do that! If you'd all be nice, I could maybe make you an offer. Maybe one free hat with every purchase?" Trilby tries to make a peace offering. Still, the crowd is getting more agitated, and they starting to close in. "HEY! Get back, I say! I swear, if any of you cause any collateral damage to my store~!" Trilby grabs a broom stick to defend himself, using it to brush ponies away from the front desk.

Basically, Trilby needs help. Immediately.

@Kronos the Revenant

At the south end of town, the robed and hooded stranger has walked up to Kaiser, and tilts their head. "Uhh... What are you suppose to be?" The stranger asks. Well, it's a mare at least, based on the voice.

@Samurai Equine

Astral's eyelids rose as high as the sun once he saw the problem that plagued poor Trilby; an angry mob had swarmed his shop from nearly top to bottom, and all because of Samurai's sudden leave. Astral, however, knew that the warrior wasn't to blame, but so long as the people remained panicked over the loss of their protector, the ranting would only continue. Astral took a deep breath, and soon the crowd was shook by a voice like that of thunder.

"SILENCE CREATURES!! WHILE IT IS TRUE THAT SAMURAI IS NO LONGER IN FRIENDSHIRE FOR THE MOMENT, I CAN ASSURE YOU AS HIS TEMPORARY REPLACEMENT THAT YOU ARE WELL PROTECTED UNTIL HIS EVENTUAL RETURN! THIS BUSINESS PONY SPEAKS THE TRUTH, HE HAS NO WAY OF RETURNING SAMURAI ANY SOONER, BUT THAT DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO BLAME HIM ALONE! NOW BE GONE! Oh, yeah, and also- BE SURE TO SIGN UP FOR THE GAMING TOURNAMENT TODAY IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, OR SUFFER THE PRICE OF SIMPLISTIC BOREDOM!!"

Apparently, Astral knew how to use the Royal Canterlot Voice, despite not being royalty himself. It seemed there were still many mysteries surrounding the blue unicorn. Once the crowd's rage began to die down, Astral made his way over to the frightened business pony.

"Trilby, are you alright?" Astral worryingly said, returning to his normal tone.

Dynamo raised his eyebrows, while having a look of suspicion upon his face. "Hmm...I can take your word for it, but the grease, sauce and such upon you is telling me otherwise." He gives a playful smirk and chuckle, before shrugging his shoulders as he accepted her latter remark. "If you say so. Also, I sometimes happen to speak my thoughts out loud without thinking. A little bad habit, but glad I'm not alone." He followed Pastel to the kitchen as he took a seat that was available. He was soon presented Pastel Heart's 'Pastel Surprise' Omelette. It looked as if the omelette was cooked to perfection, but was quickly made minutes ago. He nearly drooled as he felt his stomach begin to growl once more. Levitating a fork and knife for him to cut up the omelette, Dynamo smiled as he was ready to dig in. "Thank you for the food." Cutting a piece of the breakfast, Dynamo placed the omelette in his mouth and began to chew. His eyes widened as the omelette was very spicy due to the tabasco sauce. However, it wasn't too spicy to where he could tolerate the heat for the most part. Finishing his bite, he sighed as he opened his mouth and began to fan his tongue with his hoof. "Whew. Kickstart your heart? Talk about kickstarting your tastebuds too. Is there any water or cola available? I'm going to need it to finish something this delicious."

Soon, Thundy came out with a large stack of buttermilk pancakes along with a plate of seasoned shredded hash browns. “You may wanna save some of that omelette Dynamo, I got these pancakes here made in the style of the International House of Pancakes, made in the US of A.” Thundy said putting the plates on the table.

Pastel was overjoyed that Dynamo enjoyed her omelette despite the hotness. She bounced up and down, giggling and blushing. This was a top anime moment, she thought.

"Nyahaha~ I'm so happy you like it! Would you believe I taught myself how to make that!? Amazing what TV can teach you! Maybe my mom was a chef or something. Chefs do that!"

Seeing that the heat was a little much for Dynamo to handle, she wasn't offended, simply smiling at him teasingly.

 "You lookin for a fix, man? I got what you need!"

Repeating a line she'd heard elsewhere, Pastel raced to the fridge. She didn't know what Dynamo liked to drink. Usually she was fetching beers for her grandpa, so she instinctively reached for that first before stopping with a giggle and taking a Doc Pony. These used to be more popular. She closed the fridge with her tail and brought the bottle in her mouth, like she was playing fetch.

As Dynamo was continuing to fan his tongue, Dynamo looked over to Pastel, while nodding at her question. "I'll take any kind of cola beverage that can help cool off my tongue, please." He responded, before watching Pastel, who raced over to the fridge. The gaming unicorn chuckled as the young mare grabbed a Doc Pony from the fridge, before bringing the bottle in her mouth like she was playing fetch. Taking the bottle from her, Dynamo sipped on his beverage and sighed with a smile. "That's a relief. I don't eat spicy food all the time, but I can't deny anything that can be spicy. Never tried tabasco sauce before, but it's not too bad. Although, it's not something I'd have all the time." He chuckled with a sheepish smile, before looking down at Pastel. "I didn't know you could cook, Pastel-chan, but I think that's pretty awesome. I've never really cooked before. Perhaps your mom was a chef, or TV can be a good teacher. Even so, thank you for the breakfast and thank you for the cola. You're a lifesaver." He smiled, ruffling her mane playfully.

Meanwhile, all that could be heard from Thundy was the hissing and bubbling of the friers as he cooked the pancakes. He then made his iPhone appear and turned on some music. It could be heard from the kitchen, and so could Thundy's singing, which was perfectly on key.

Dynamo could soon hear singing coming from the other side of the kitchen. It seemed that Thundy was finishing up with breakfast, while singing to pass the time. "That song is kind of catchy and you've got a nice singing voice, Thundy. I'd still say Pastel-chan outranks all of us. Considering that she's going to be an idol, as well as how she sang at the concert a few days ago." He would say, his jaw dropping slightly at the stack of pancakes and hash-browns that were placed upon the plates. "Now that's what we call a smorgasbord of breakfast. No promises as I'm enjoying the omelette. Plus, I can't say no to pancakes or hash-browns either." He would say, knowing he would regret having a huge breakfast like this later. Regardless, he knew it would be worth it, in the end.

She smiled sweetly, giggling as he ruffled her mane. Dynamo may have gotten some bacon grease on his hoof in the process. Thinking about singing again was making her excited too.

"As I'm now a cutie mark certified pro idol, I will play anytime, anywhere! Just give me a stage! Gimme a reason!"

@C. Thunder Dash

Pastel swished her tail around, flashing Thundy a peculiar, yakuza-like look.

"Haahhh? You trying to show up my omelette made with 100% love? If Dyny likes your food more I'm gonna break ya! Uhh, I mean... Thanks!"

Changing her tune quickly, she dug in. It's been awhile since she had a big breakfast like this, she didn't even like fo wake up in the morning during summer, unless cartoons were on. Totally worth it though, she thought.

@Kronos the Revenant

The hooded stranger takes a step back when Krux joins them. "Easy there, tall, dark, and... handsome." She says to either of them with a little hint of a flirt. "Here's the deal, gentlemen. I'm just here to see some pony named Bluebell. That's all. We'll talk, I'll be on my way, and that's it."

@Astral Vision, @Windy Breeze 🥧

What a mighty display of a commanding voice! It stops every angry pony from speaking, because now they are too busy either covering or rubbing their ears. Point is, message is received. Two seconds after Astral finishes, they leave with grumpy grunts and hearty huffs. Although, some do seems a little excited about this game tournament thing.

As soon as he asks, Trilby grovels before Astral. "Thank you, Astral~! You saved me!!" Trilby says like a sad but thankful anime character. However, he picks himself and starts make himself look tidy. "I swear, news travels fast in Friendshire these days! Why didn't anybody TELL me Samurai left?! And now some of the citizens are looking to me to fix this just because I've been here longer than Samurai has. I never agreed to be a soldier! I've never even held a weapon. The closest I ever came to that was... Was when... Let me see here, it's on the tip of my tongue..."

As Trilby scratches his chin to remember, he sees someone just outside of his shop. "SHADOW!" He goes over and lets her in. "Please, come in, come in. Sorry about the mess, and the mob. Samurai Equine left town last night, and now a number of citizens are angry that we don't have an armed soldier guarding the town." Trilby explains.

Shadow flew above the mob and quickly went inside Trilby's store. She listened to his explanation.

“What, Samurai left?” Shadow gasped “Wait a minute, why did he leave? I have so many questions but I couldn't tell all of them since somepony in the crowds will hear me”

@GeneralDirection

Pencil blushed at Silver’s compliment of the drawings. She was happy that Silver liked them so much, even if they were just sketches. She was happy she was able to show someone the markers as well. If she hadn’t shown anypony, she might have exploded from excitement. After she stared at the grass sketch a little longer, she searched for another blank page in her notebook and tapped it roughly with her hoof, making sure she actually landed on that page. Rubbing her horn gently to warm it up, Pencil readied her markers and planned out her next drawing.

“Aah, an interesting request,” Pencil noted in a playfully indicative voice. She was tasked to draw a mountain stream with a deer in it. Pencil tapped her chin thoughtfully as she outlined the dimensions of the stream in her head. After pondering where everything should be, she took her markers to the page and started to sketch.

She drew giant humps to start, one on the top, one on the bottom, and one in the middle. She then dragged her light blue marker slowly down the page, creating a soft stream to cascade off the rocks. Next, taking her green markers, she used a similar technique to the one she used for the grassy field. Once the grass lines were added, she smoothed down the tops of the mountainous rocks with darker greens and grays. Finally, she added the small deer, starting with an odd blob-looking shape. She filled that blob in with gentle strokes for the fur and outlined the face and horns with a dark brown.

Sitting back to let the drawing dry, Pencil sighed and proudly admired her work. It was a bit more tedious than the last couple she made, but it looked good, and Pencil had to admit adding the deer in there was fun. She stared at that first, and watched in amazement as the deer began to dip its neck down and drink from the stream. Pencil reached out to pet it once it was finished, and to her surprise, it actually nuzzled against her hoof. Pencil giggled, then began petting some more. She eventually stopped to mind the deer’s personal space. She then brushed her hoof against the rocks and the grass, feeling bumpy and soft textures. She could smell grass once again along with what Pencil could only describe as the smell of water.

Pencil scanned the paper one final time with her hoof and felt the rush of water, the motion reminding her of water coming out of a faucet. The feeling was cool and light, but less pressurized than actual tap water. Pencil curiously licked the page as well, wondering if the water had any sort of taste. As expected, she was able to drink it. The stream ran down her tongue and onto her chin, creating a mess on her face. Pencil wiped the water off her face and giggled at her sheepish behavior.

“You can try now. Maybe don’t make such a mess like I did though,” Pencil told Silver, laughing off her childish behavior again.

“It’s crazy how magical these markers really are. I wonder, are they some sort of spell markers, or do they just contain a lot of illusion capabilities?” she thought out loud.

Silver watched as Pencil proceeded to draw his request. She drew the mountains, the stream, the grass, some rocks, and trees, and then a deer drinking at the stream. Just like the other drawings prior, this one also came to life with sounds, smells, and textures. He looked on in amazement as the deer Pencil drew nuzzled her hoof, and she was able to drink water from the stream, too.

 “I’ve heard of magic markers, but this is ridiculous.” He remarked. “I, uh, suppose I could give it a go. I’ve never actually drawn in front of anypony before.” He said, sounding somewhat unsure of himself as he grabbed a chair and sat down.

Silver would push past his initial hesitation and flipped to a blank page in the notebook.

“So, is drawing something you do professionally, or are you a hobbyist?” He asked as he started his drawing. “This is just a hobby for me, I was a carpenter in my village before I left. Not quite sure what I’ll do here, Dynamo has offered me a job at the arcade he runs I might do that for a while until I get myself figured out.”

Silver listened to her comment about the markers before replying. “Possibly spell-based? Considering how you can drink the water and all. I’ve never seen anything like these before. That wouldn’t take much though, you miss out on a lot of stuff when you live out in the middle of nowhere.”

The Kirin appeared to be drawing a desk, very much like the one he and Pencil were sitting at. The perspective was as if one was looking towards the desk with the pony sitting behind it. The desk itself and the contents on it didn’t make much time to draw, and Silver would attempt some basic shading, adding shadows where they would logically appear. In the book on the center of the desk, he drew some simple fireworks like the ones Pencil had drawn earlier. He looked up at Pencil for a moment with a thoughtful expression on his face before he continued with his work.

He would grab a pencil first this time, roughly sketching in lines for various parts of a pony’s body. He would add temporary lines for drawing in more difficult parts like the eyes, before going back over and erasing them. Silver went back to the markers and started adding an outline for the pony before using various suitable colours to fill in the rest making an image akin to the mare sitting next to him. Silver found that as he used the markers, they seemed to have different properties than regular ones would. He decided to experiment with this when doing shading and found that he could use the white marker to make an interesting effect that made it appear as if the sun were shining on certain parts of her mane. He definitely needed these markers in his life. When finished, he had one Pencil Pouch sitting at the desk, looking at her notebook excitedly at the fireworks she drew on the page. It was somewhat simplistic, but if he had more time he could’ve added in more details.

“Well, what do you think?” He asked, putting his marker down and gently pushing her notebook toward her. “There might not be any flowing water or explosions, but I though it’d be a nice idea for you to have a little reminder of when you first discovered what these amazing markers could do!” He smiled.

Silver sniffed the air and could smell the delicious inviting smells of breakfast downstairs.

“Well, as much fun as I’ve had drawing with you, I gotta head downstairs and eat some food now. I’m sure we could do more drawing or something else together later, I’ve got plenty of time.” He said, motioning for her to follow him downstairs.

Pencil was happy to answer Silver’s question, so she quickly answered,

“I draw as a career. The whole reason I even came to Friendshire was to work on something ‘that’s never been seen before’ by a commissioner,” She paused a moment to wait for his response. She nodded as he told her the magic markers she was using were indeed spell based. It would explain how the water tasted real to her.

Suddenly, Pencil gasped quite loudly. A brilliant idea just crossed her mind!

“I bet my commissioner would love these! I’m sure he’s never seen drawings made by these cool markers before! Ooh, I’ll have to get started right away with these!” she excitedly cried. She took a brief moment to breath, worried she was scaring Silver with her high volume. Allowing herself to settle down, Pencil calmly told him,

“Well, before I start any sort of work, why don’t you go ahead and draw something? I wanna see what you come up with,”

Pencil watched eagerly as Silver began sketching his own drawing. He started by creating a few basic outlines, then he added some colors and some shading. Pencil couldn’t tell what he was drawing at first, but it looked to be some sort of long box. Pencil thought something was going to pop out of of the box at first, but on further inspection, the box turned out to be a table. Not just any table, but a desk. Pencil wasn’t sure why Silver would draw a desk since they were already sitting at one, but perhaps there was more to the drawing.

Silver looked up a moment to look a Pencil, then quickly looked back down at the sketchbook. Pencil blushed a bit, not expecting to be stared at. She couldn’t figure out why Silver had done that at first, so she sat there a minute, her mind blank. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted quite a bit of purple on the page, snapping her out of her trance. Pencil blushed again, but this time out of appreciation. Silver was drawing her sitting at the desk, sketching.

Pencil happily clapped at the results. Even with the basic formations of the sketch, the picture was very colorful and lively, and the animation was realistic, much like the other drawings. She could see sketch-self sitting in wonder as her fireworks and grass field drawings came to life. Reality-Pencil lightly tapped sketch-Pencil to see if she would react. Her mane was soft, fluffy, and a little frizzy, much like reality-Pencil’s. Sketch-Pencil jolted Indonesia’s surprise at the sudden contact, but waved excitedly as she was able to see who tapped her.

Reality-Pencil thought of touching the other parts of the drawing, but decided to leave them alone to let sketch-Pencil continue enjoying her work. Reality-Pencil gave Silver a grateful smile, then said,

“Thanks for the drawing, I love it. I’m gonna keep this little memory with me always. It might be neat when I’m an old mare to remember what I was like when I was younger, too, heh!”

At the mention of breakfast, Pencil’s stomach growled impatiently. Holding a hoof to her chest, Pencil slowly got up and announced,

“Breakfast sounds pretty good. I’ll go ahead and join you downstairs,”

With that, she followed Silver down the stairs and let the aroma of a variety of different fresh foods spread throughout her senses.

He gave a look of feeling grossed out from the grease, before heading over towards the sink to wash his hoof. After washing up quickly, Dynamo made his way back towards his seat. "I think we might need to freshen up before heading out for the day. I know someone wouldn't want to be walking with bacon grease all day, while ruining their fuku outfit." He chuckled, before raising an eyebrow in confusion. "Does an idol need a specific reason in order to play a song or perform on stage? I don't believe I've ever seen an idol group before. Unless it was in anime, but still."

Dynamo responded, taking two to three pancakes as he placed them upon his plate. As he was pouring the syrup, Dynamo thought briefly before giving Thundy a nod. "I believe so, but it depends on what the others want to do. I know Pastel-chan and Pencil have had been to the arcade a few days ago. I know you, Chelsea and Silver haven't since you all got here recently. So, it depends on what the plan is for everyone." He would say, cutting into his pancakes with his utensils as he took a bite. Trilby just shrugs. "I'm still figuring this out myself. I think Astral can explain it better since he and Samurai are tight. As far as I know, he left last night. He didn't even tell me he was leaving. He just ordered a filly size dress and that was it. ...Not sure what that was about, to be honest." "Surely there would be at least one place in there that would let you stay in a regular room free of charge. I'd hate to tell Princess Twilight that your living like this." She pulls down her hood, revealing a large mowhawk mane, a scar across one eye, a broken horn, and wine-colored coat/body. She also turn her attention back to Kaiser and Krux. "So are going to let me in or not?"

“Oh, cool. That must be fun, getting to do what you enjoy as a career. I’m sure it’s challenging sometimes but I bet it’s worth it in the long run. That’s a peculiar thing for someone to request. But, like you said, perhaps these markers will do the trick. I highly doubt they’ve seen anything like these before.” He commented. Pencil seemed to want to see what he’d come up with, so he’d continue along with his work.

Silver thought it was kinda cute how excited she got when she figured out what to do for her commission, but he kept this to himself and simply smiled as he worked away.

Once he was finished, Pencil seemed very happy with the drawing he had made.

“Oh, well you’re welcome, Pencil.” He replied while staring at the ground. “I’ve never drawn for anypony else before, well, maybe a few things for friends. But that’s different. The fact that you do this for a living, and you like it? That means a lot to me, so thanks.” He smiled.

The two ponies came back downstairs and were greeted by pancakes and hashbrowns on the table. Silver grabbed a plate, sat down, and helped himself to the food while Dynamo was talking.

“Well, I already put my two bits in." Silver responded. "Sounds to me like we should just go to the arcade for now. Dynamo can show me around the place and stuff, while the rest of you can play games in the meantime.” He suggested before taking a bite of food.

He waved a hoof towards the other griffin he hadn’t met yet, waiting until he finished chewing before addressing her.

“Hey there, I’m Silver Slate! Didn’t get a chance to say hi to ya earlier. What’s your name?” He asked.

@Dynamo Pad

She expected more of reaction, but didn't get what she was fishing for this time. Oh well.

"Pffft, grandpa didn't teach me how to cook! He'd burn ramen noodles! I taught myself, pretty much. With books and TV! I'm glad I could make you happy, for me that's like the highlight of my day already!"

She was more frank about her feelings today. Being pointed out that she probably shouldn't make a mess of herself in a cute new outfit, she smiles nervously.

"Yeah, you're right. It would be bad for my PI, right? Nyaha."

She smiled and ran to the sink to wash off the mess she collected on herself. Thankfully no damage was done to the fuku, it mostly got on her face and in her hair. She would resolve this issue by jumping up and dumping her head in the sink... Swishing her head around under the water, she turns it off and flips back her now wet mane. Making a new mess entirely.

"I am so ready for a beach episode~"

She confidently flops down back into the dining room, hearing Dynamo wistfully talk of his parents. For a moment, she wondered what her parents were like, but shook that thought off.

@C. Thunder Dash

Pastel seemed offended by how he worded his comment. She was glaring now.

"Who are you calling a showoff!? I'm just having fun! And a singing competition? This is my talent, there's practically no competition! Trying to show up an innocent filly who's just finding her place in the world, you're awful!"

Now huffy and pouting, Pastel looks away and sits behind Dynamo, crossing her hindlegs. Was she jealous over the whole breakfast thing, or was it something he said? Maybe both. She didn't even notice Silver come in in the midst of her tantrum.

"Hey now Pastel, watch your attitude there missy. If you say there's no competition, that's pridefulness. That's saying you're the best. As I told Dynamo, there's always someone better than you out there. You can't let it get into your head. You better keep that in mind as you grow up, because there are people out there that will be honest. I've seen singers who thought they were good get absolutely obliterated with criticism by a singer who's been singing longer than them. The point is Pastel, stay humble. It's for your own good." Thundy said before turning to Dynamo. "Am I right Dynamo?" Thundy asked as he continued to eat. "Also, I'm really looking forward to going to the arcade with you, I hope there is a place for me to set up that game I showed you yesterday." Thundy stated.

@GeneralDirection

Meanwhile, Chelsea heard a voice. She was still half asleep. She turned and saw what was a blob. She focused slowly and there was a kirin. Chelsea looked up. "Heey...I'm Chelsea..." Chelsea said still tired. Thundy looked up and saw Silver. "Oh hey Silver, Chelsea's very tired. I think that deep sea adventure she had with Pencil really tuckered her out. I hope she gets more energy soon." Thundy said. Chelsea simply let out a groan.

Kaiser and Krux looked at each other, then at Bluebell, then at the hooded figure. Kaiser walked up to the cloaked mare and tilted his head, clearly observing her closely. He squinted his eyes at her, which, if one was looking closely, could be seen through the helmet he donned.

With a low growl, he told the mare, “Well, you seem to know at least one creature here, so I’ll let you in, but I’m gonna keep close surveillance on you.” He then turned to Krux and instructed him “Tell The Vessel that we have a visitor with one of our client’s friends, and make haste.”

With a nod, Krux leapt over the walls with rapid haste towards Kronos.

“While we wait for him and our Vessel,” Kaiser inquires, “State you business here and what this creature means to you.”

Trilby just shrugs. "I'm still figuring this out myself. I think Astral can explain it better since he and Samurai are tight. As far as I know, he left last night. He didn't even tell me he was leaving. He just ordered a filly size dress and that was it. ...Not sure what that was about, to be honest." Trilby says to Shadow, hoping Astral will shed light on all the details.

@Ragland Tiger, @Kronos the Revenant

The hooded stranger looks over at the bush. "Bluebell? Is that where you're staying these days, in a bush?" She looks over and sees the rather large town with hundreds of buildings. "Surely there would be at least one place in there that would let you stay in a regular room free of charge. I'd hate to tell Princess Twilight that your living like this." She pulls down her hood, revealing a large mowhawk mane, a scar across one eye, a broken horn, and wine-colored coat/body. She also turn her attention back to Kaiser and Krux. "So are going to let me in or not?"

@Samurai Equine @Windy Breeze 🥧

Astral could see that Trilby was looking to him for help, and since he knew somewhat of Samurai's reasons for departure, he was quick to fill Shadow in.

"That dress was a gift for Pastel, Samurai gave all of us gifts when he called us out to the town limits last night. The reason he had to leave was to protect us from his greatest enemy's wrath, but he left Friendshire's safety in our hooves.. or claws if you count Thundy. He never hinted to any threat before, it came out of no where for everyone, but he trusted us to bring the town closer in his absence. As for my roll, I've stepped in as the event organizer, and today is going to be a gaming tournament; though I'm sure my booming voice made that pretty clear already."

The two ponies came back downstairs and were greeted by pancakes and hashbrowns on the table. Silver grabbed a plate, sat down, and helped himself to the food while Dynamo was talking.

Dynamo's ears perked as he could hear hoof steps from behind him. His eyes glanced and with a turn of his head, he smiled as Silver and Pencil had made their appearance. "Hey, Silver and Pencil. Welcome back. How was the art? I'm sorry I wasn't able to see the pictures. I was asked to taste test some of the food and you won't be disappointed." He took another bite of the omelettes and pancakes, while making sure to have his beverage on hoof this time around. "I guess it's a unanimous decision, but I do want to see what the others think too. I know I wouldn't mind wanting to show you around the arcade. You can see if there are some games that take your fancy, or if you think it's a place you'd like to work at for the time being."

"Your grandpa burned ramen noodles?" Dynamo's jaw dropped in surprise at what he heard. "I didn't know it was possible to do such a thing, but I guess some crazy things could be possible. I think it's pretty cool that you taught yourself from books and TV. It really shows how studious you can be when you put your mind to it, Pastel-chan." He smiled, before tilting his head in confusion. "I hope this isn't a bad question to ask, but I was wondering something. What does PI stand for? If you don't mind me asking, that is." He blinked as Pastel had suddenly left. Frowning as he was afraid he had said something wrong or offended the young mare. His doubts were casted aside as he heard the sound of running water. As she made her return, Dynamo smiled as Pastel sported a wet mane. He looked over and gave a sigh, before smiling at the sight of a new mess. "Oh, well. I guess it can't be helped. We just need to make sure the house is clean, before setting out for the arcade. I know Samurai would like to have a cleanly house and not a mess of things." He would say, before hearing Pastel's suggestion of the beach. "A beach episode, huh? I'm not sure what you mean, unless you're talking about something like it's from anime. However, I think a trip to the beach would be pretty fun. Maybe we can all plan for it and see when it would be best to go." He smiled, while nodding in agreement.

As he was about to take another bite of his breakfast, his ears fell and his blinked in surprise from the sudden outburst/argument. He looked between Pastel and Thundy, while it seemed that both had some disagreements between on another. With a sigh, Dynamo got out of his seat and walked around, until he was standing by Pastel. He knelt down and wrapped his front hooves around her into a hug. "Shh...it's okay, Pastel-chan. Don't let him get under your fur." He then looked up and gave a small frown to the griffon. "I'm not going to agree or take sides. It's like she said that she's having fun. She just got her cutie mark and she's finally finding her place in Equestria. Sure, there might be others out there that will be better than you. However, that's something she'll come across on her journey. She might struggle, or she might succeed with ease. As she grows up, she'll learn more and more of what her true destiny is calling out for her. In the meantime, just let Pastel be herself, please?"

"Oh of course, there was no way that I was getting on Pastel for that. Just reminding her to stay humble, you know how it is right Dynamo?" Thundy asked looking at Dynamo who's ears had fallen. Thundy wasn't certainly arguing with Pastel, he was simply giving her friendly advice, which could go a long way.
