After passing the arcade, Sundae and Boulder passed a few more houses and business, including a jewelry store which could normall caught the attention of a wealthy pony, but Sundae ignored it all, knowing everything around them are nothing but useless since Boulder is just a colt and he doesn't need to buy such expensive gems.

As they get closer to their destination, there were no longer shops or restaurants, only the second storey houses are left.

“I'm very curious how you didn't remember anything other than being attacked. Can you remember anything about your family or the name of the place where you are born?” Sundae asked.

@Samurai Equine

Silver nods his head in understanding and thanks Samurai for his offer. Knowing that there was another pony in town who was familiar with fire-based magic certainly piqued Silver’s interest. Perhaps at a later point in time they could discuss it further. Silver had always been somewhat embarrassed by how relatively little control he had over his Nirik transformation compared to the other Kirin back home. But now was neither the time nor the place. Silver also couldn’t help but notice that Samurai either hadn’t heard or chose to ignore his question, but the Kirin decided not to dwell on it. They had other objectives to focus on currently, and it’s not like he was the only pony there. He simply nodded his head and kept up with the group until they arrived at the mall.

True to his word, Friendshire did indeed have a mall. Not that it was amazing by any means, but it did the job for the number of ponies who visited it. Then there was the mention of food. Silver still had some dried star fruit, but a proper meal was something he had been lacking today.

“I don’t really eat a whole lot, but I’ve only got dried fruit left in my cart, so a decent meal would be great.” He said. “Whatever you all wanna do, I’m not too picky. Unless it’s raisins.” Silver made a face. “I hate raisins.”

@Astral Vision

Seeing Astral take a dive like that puts a cocky look on Trilby's face. "This is the pony that's going to help save Friendshire? Samurai really knows how to pick 'em..." Trilby thinks to himself before offering Astral a hoof to help him get back up.

As they walk off together, they take a few back roads to make sure no pony is watching or following them. Soon, they reach an Equestrian History Museum which is a rather long building for a museum, but they don't go in the front. Oh no, they go around to the back. There is a secret entrance, and Trilby has the key. "Here we go. Remember, on your best manners."

As they enter, they go down a very sterile-looking, very plain hallway. From there, Trilby finds the right door, and goes inside. The room within looks like a mix between an office space, and a medical chamber. There are desks and book cases made of rich mahogany, paper work, and some office ponies in suits strung about. But at the back of the room is some kind of plastic, transparent tent and some medical equipment, only partially covered by fancy curtains.

Just by looking inside the plastic medical tent, you can see a white stallion reclining in a normal bed, but he's attached to all kinds of medical equipment, including an oxygen mask. The blankets are lowered just enough to show that this white stallion is anorexic. His mane is dark grey and tattered; he is balding up top simply because of how much hair he is losing. A nurse comes out of the tent to greet them both. "You must the guest. Please be patient and to the point with him. He needs a lot of naps during the day." The nurse says and steps aside. "Well, that's him. Go ahead and say hi to Mayor White Addenbrooks." Trilby says, giving Astral the go-ahead.

@Samurai Equine

Astral carefully followed Trilby's lead through the the many dark halls and corridors; as the tension began to sink in, Astral could only trust that Trilby wasn't leading him into a trap, but he still remained vigilant all the same. The two soon arrived at a museum, but entered through the back via a secret entrance; if there wasn't already so much at stake, Astral would have been geeking out. As Astral followed Trilby down the long hallway, they soon came to an office with a white medical tent in the back. Astral entered the tent after Trilby, and could only stare in shock at the pony that laid before them.

Sweet Celestia... This is Mayor White? The poor thing, will he even be able to understand me? Astral thought, he didn't want to be rude, but no one would want to see a pony in such pain.

The blue unicorn slowly trotted to the Mayor's bed side, and spoke softly so as to not alarm him.

"Hello Mr. Addenbrooks, I'm Astral Vision, and I want to thank you for agreeing to meet with me. I'll try to be brief and precise so you can get back to sleep. You see, I'm trying to help my friends save this town and bring emotion back to its citizens, and I've come to understand that the route of this problem occurred when you and the other Mayor parted ways. So please, can you tell me why you and Mayor Black are not friends anymore?"

Astral hoped that the name drop wouldn't alarm Mayor White. If the reason for the Mayors' friendship being dissolved was out of anger, then this question might only stir the old colt.

Meanwhile at the front desk of the Library, one mare pony is currently cataloging books that have been returned. She is also shrinking them using some kind of strange magic artifact. Once shrunk, these books would be easy for any breezie to lift and read.

Beryl watched before flying over to see them. She didn't grab the mare's attention just yet but that was the point. She watched the mare until she put down the artifact and left with the shrunken books, there were still a few dozen left. Beryl went to the artifact and looked it at with confusion. This...  This is an artifact from the Breezies themselves! Why would ponies have it? Then again, there is so much in this town that Beryl barely knows how to make heads or tails out of it. Instead of diving deeper she began helping how ever she could. This library is just like back home- just with another language.

"Hah! I'll send you tapes sometime! You'd love it bubba! I BROKE THE BACKS OF MANY A JABRONI! But my homeland, Ponysia, many a long ways from Equestria! My family came here to escape a bloody revolution. Equestria has been good to Iron Shoal, so no reason to go back! It is here i made my career, many friends, my filly and now new friends here like you, Pad of the Dynamo! Alas, soon I must go, but I shall return some day!"

He sipped his bottle, as if a weight was off his shoulders with this conversation. As Dynamo brought up the romance subject, Iron Shoal began to laugh and smile like he was having fun.

"HAHA! YOU WORRY TOO MUCH, BUBBA! Yes, Pastel is a filly, quite a worldly one for her age too! And I find it adorable she found her first crush with you! She is surprisingly simple, see? Very story esque view on romance, very naive. One of the first things she told me she wanted to marry Princess Twilight Sparkle! HAHAHA! I know you are not a bad stallion, Pad of the Dynamo, I can see it in your eyes; you are meek and very kind. If you do fall in love with her, I only ask you treat her kindly and don't take advantage of her; she is a filly after Iron Shoals spirit, but she has a maidens heart, break that and I break your back! Life to Pastel is a fairytale come to life. Keep that in mind, yes? I trust you will do what is best! Follow your heart! Far be it from an old stallion like me who's never  had long term companionship to stand in the way! HAHA!"

Iron Shoal seemed genuine and trustful of Dynamo. He didn't like very many ponies it seems, judging by his prior rampage though town, so needless to say this could have gone a lot worse.

@C. Thunder Dash

"HAHAHA! MUST BE ONE OF THOSE PARALLEL UNIVERSE THINGS! I wonder if there is an Iron Shoal in that universe!"

If Thundy would manage to put the pieces together, maybe he would be able to see that Iron Shoal resembled a certain Sheik, if he was familiar with him. Small multiverse it seems.

"I TAKE BIGGER BUMPS FALLING FROM CAGE! #&*#* THE ROAD"

He certainty was full of life. It'll be a lot quieter once he's gone atleast.

----------------

@Samurai Equine

Pastel looked at Samurai oddly. Was this Milenko guy that bad? He was here in Friendshire and she knew dragons weren't evil. This only spiked her curiosity more.

"Huh? Do you think he's bad, Sami? If he's a doctor here he can't be that bad, right? Personally I've never met a dragon before! Maybe he's really cool!"

Iron Shoal was certainly correct about her being simple, she wasn't suspicious of anycreature.

Pastel looked around the mall with wide eyes. It had that small town mall feel she'd seen in movies, and when her grandpa would take her to places like Trottingham. She was excited.

"SUPER AESTHETIC! I LOVE IT! I'll help anyway I can! if I'm a reaaal good girl I'll get extra snacks right~?"

She leaned into Samurai with a big smile and a wink. She must be rolling for a charisma check.

“I'm very curious how you didn't remember anything other than being attacked. Can you remember anything about your family or the name of the place where you are born?” Sundae asked.

Boulder shook his head at that, which wasn't technically a lie. As far as the body he was currently in was concerned, it began in that strange deserted place before getting captured by Diamond dogs. This body he had didn't have parents he could think of, and he certainly didn't know the name of that rocky place he started in.

"What I remember and don't remember is strange and jumbled. I know the what some things are called, I know my own name, and I probably know other stuff that isn't coming to mind. But there are other things I don't understand or remember at all. "

He had confessed in the hospital to a doctor that he hadn't even known that he was a pony, and thought that a Diamond dog was just insulting him at the time. He also seemed genuinely confused and taken aback by stuff like horn magic or how pegasi could fly in the air. He was trying to keep a low profile and not give away something that could get him in danger, but he simply did not know enough about the world to be sure he could keep deceptions going. It would only take one of these strange magical creatures having the ability to peer into his mind to blow his cover, and then he wasn't sure what they'd do. He dreaded the idea of being taken away to some lab for experiments or some equally horrific idea like that. The ponies so far had been nice, but he knew from his home reality that this could change on a dime.

Sundae nodded “Don't worry. While you try to regain your memories, you will stay at my place” she told him. They were now standing in front of a two-storey house, looking as simple like the others. Standing by the front door is a pony wearing a expensive-looking black and white dress. She bowed at Sundae's presence.

“Welcome home, my lady” Server said.

Sundae nodded before looking at Boulder “Are you hungry, Boulder?”

@Emerald Heart, @GeneralDirection, @Pastel Heart

Samurai laughs at his little friend's remark. "You can have all the 'extra' snacks right now. Just don't tell your grandfather or Dynamo that I spoil ya." He gives her a knowing wink. "As for your question, well... I'll tell you in a moment. Food and snacks now, talk later." Samurai explains.

Going through the food court, he lets Fable, Silver, and Pastel pick whatever they like. As much as they like! Even if they get more then they can handle, there is always take-away boxes and such. True to his word, he pays for ever piece of food. Samurai really is being generous today. And Samurai? Well, all he gets is a creamy fruit smoothy, and a small set of dango. Samurai also chooses the fanciest place for them to sit, a big table with an open beach umbrella in it for shade. Really has a nice, tropical theme to it.

"So, Pastel, to answer your question... Dr. Milenko is a therapist. In my culture, medical doctors are honored and respected, but we don't have a need for therapists. We are taught to never burden other ponies with our own problems. Therapy goes against what my culture teaches, and I don't really feel like I need a therapist anyways. If there is ever anything wrong with me, a regular doctor is enough. Understand?" Samurai explains.

He turns to Silver. "You asked a question earlier. Sorry for not answering it sooner, I guess I just got excited from being here. Besides Trilby, I've been here the longest. Trilby Hatter, the one who owns the clothing shop, doesn't really care that much about the town's history. What he cares about is his business, though there might be some hope for him. As for me, it's been difficult. I am interested in this town's history, but my mission is more about trying to reunite the two mayors, and that mission has been keeping me from doing detective work. If you must know about the town's history, you should talk to my friend Astral Vision. He's keeping a better record of the town than me." Samurai explains.

Once more, he looks at Fable and Silver at the same time. "So, now that you are both here, what do you wish to do for a living? Have you found a job you're interested in, Fable? This town really is starved for leaders, business owners, and more. If there is a job in mind, you might be able to just take over no problem. That's what happened to me. The town needed a military leader, I offered, and instantly got the job. My friend Dynamo Pad took an interest in the local arcade. It had staff, but no pony was running it, and he's now the manager of the establishment."

@Astral Vision

Though weak, Mayor White is awake. When he sees Astral Vision walk over to his bedside, he smiles up at him. "You must be Astral~!" He says rather weakly, yet still excited and quite happy. "Come here, good sir. Let me get a look at you." Once Astral is close enough, the mayor takes Astral's hoof into both of his. "I will answer that question in due time, I promise." He turns his head to cough a little. "But first, I've been meaning to tell you... Thank you, Astral. Trilby told me about your interest in me, and the things you've been doing for this town. Whatever you and your friends are doing, please... Keep doing it. I heard the Kart race on the radio, and I listened to the open-concert not long ago." As Mayor White explains, tears of joy well up in his eyes. "Such things have brought a spark of happiness back into my life. I haven't been able to enjoy activities like that... since I was a little colt." Mayor White needs to catch his breath between sentences, and sometimes in the middle of them.

As these tears of joy run down his cheek, he pats Astral's wrist with approval, his arms a little shaky. "The nurse told me that hearing about these events has somehow improved my health. I'm down to 10 different meds instead of my usual 13. And if these activities you all have planned has helped me this much.... Surely it is helping and inspiring the townsfolk, more than you realize." Mayor White explains.

@CameoShadowness, @Ragland Tiger

Luckily for Beryl, the staff worker did leave her post. She has to take most of these shrunken books and put them away somewhere.
When she came back, she saw this strange exchange between a pony and a Breezie. She chooses not to say anything, she just goes back to her desk. But she does whisper something to herself. "Oh dear... It's happening again..."

Looking at the page Beryl got a very bad feeling but hid it well. "Poetry prophecy." she said unconsciously out loud. "stay." She took the page and shrunk it with amulet which shortly shrunk itself letting her carry both. "Be right right." She flew to the poetry section. There a old copy of the book //Predictions and Prophecies// stood. She shrunk it before taking it and took a look inside. She flipped through the book before landing on a page about a missing town. She flew over without reading thought the whole thing. "Here." She laid the book down before unshrinking it. She lifted to the right page and as she was showing it, she flipped to the next showing two of the pages missing! "wh-who tore da pages?!" After the two missing pages a copy of the page the mare gave her was repeated. She rushed to fly back only to find out this was the ONLY copy of //Predictions and Prophecies// this library had. "nononononononono! Why ruins books?!" Her tiny voice carried such anger.

"I've seen taxies and go karts, but not this kind of vehicle. This sounds like a lot of complex work going into customizing. It does sound pretty cool that the transfer from game to reality is still possible." Dynamo responded with a nod. "You don't have to tell me twice, Thundy. @Pastel Heart

"I might have to see the tapes that you're talking about. I know Pastel would appreciate it as she probably takes after you in wrestling. It seems like breaking backs is sort of your specialty, then?" He wondered, before hearing Iron's journey to Equestria. "I never knew there were things like that going on outside of Equestria. Sure, there are certain monster attacks and/or random things happening. I just didn't think it could get that bad. I always thought nothing bad could happen, while being in Equestria. I suppose one can't just assume everything is okay all the time. I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you were able to make a better life here."

Hearing the old stallion's outburst caused the gamer pony's ears to fall. Due to the shout and also to embarrassment on worrying. "I guess I have a tendency to worry on the most simplest of things. What do you mean by quite a worldly one for her age?" He wondered, eyes widening and holding back a chuckle at Iron's remark. "I never knew she wanted to marry Princess Twilight. At least she's quite the dreamer and dreams big." He was still unsure on how to feel about everything he had been told before. He knew he had to talk to the others as he wasn't sure what to think. "I-I know I'm still unsure of everything, but I know I'll still be there for Pastel. I'll always treat her with kindness and I'll never take advantage of her. I've been there before and I would never wish it upon my worst enemy." He would say, nodding at the mention of fairytale. "I understand. I sometimes view the reality of certain things, but I respect Pastel's fairytale view on life." He smiled as he felt he was finally able to understand Iron. He expected to have a more difficult time talking or having this discussion. However, it seemed that everything had turned out better than he thought.

Pastel takes full advantage of the situation. Pizza, french fries, and cookies, what a combination! There was so much food you'd think she hasn't eaten for weeks. She was already happily enjoying her meal, swaying her tail back and forth happily. She listened to him intently as he talked, stuffing her face the entire time.

She looked kinda sad, the way he described it. Sami seemed just a little lonely for all his outgoingness, she thought.

"Isn't that sad, Sami? Everypony needs help sometimes. If, um... If grandpa never took me outta the orphanage, I wouldn't have made it here and I'd prolly be not so happy. I think it's definitely okay to get help from others! Solidarity forever, for the union makes us strong!"

She says that last bit like she'd heard it somewhere before, but she seemed genuine. She couldn't understand his way of thinking.

"IT'S MY SPECIALTY, BUBBA! I must show you something before I depart, but not here! Vehicles restrain, yes. Most of my life is Equestrian, therefore Equestrian Shoal is! Though I did keep some dress customs..."

He didn't seem to remember much about the political climate in Ponysia. He was but a foal at the time after all.

"Yes, worldly! Do you not see!? My filly soaks in culture like a sponge, she does! She's adventurous, brash, and though she doesnt seem it, quite mature in aspects! Just like Iron Shoal in his prime, HAHAHA! She wears her heart on her coat, and it seems you do to! THE FUTURE SHALL BE SHOAL CLASS!"

He took a bit gulp in celebration. He seemed no longer worried at all, and gradually falling back into incoherency. Must be the alcohol. Atleast he was having fun.

@C. Thunder Dash

"HAH, RESPECT, BUBBA! But Shoal does not talk shop, he talks holds!"

He seemed casual. Not exactly the engineer savy type.

Silver grabbed his food and sat down with the others, thanked Samurai very much for his generosity, and listened to him as he ate his meal. He heard some pony named Astral Vision mentioned, another one to add to the growing list of ponies he needed to talk to. Silver didn’t mind, that’s what he was here for. He also heard mention of the two mayors, something that he had hear earlier from Sundae.

“That’s fine.” He said to Samurai. “The town’s history isn’t the only thing I’d like to learn more about. Maybe you can tell me more about whatever it is that you spend most of your time on, whatever your mission is. Getting multiple ponies’ perspectives is important for me to get the best idea possible about what it’s like to live here. Everypony sees things differently.”

Then Samurai mentioned jobs. To be honest, Silver hadn’t really been thinking about stuff like that. A few hours ago, he was lost, detoured on his way back home to Kirin Grove. He hadn’t planned on meeting so many kind ponies in this town that he had thought to be abandoned.

“I’ll be honest with you, Samurai, I wasn’t planning on putting any roots down in Friendshire. My plan was to restock food, maybe get some directions, and be on my way. I’m on the last leg of my journey and was heading back home fairly soon. But, one of the other reasons I started this adventure, is because I wanted to find a new life away from the Kirin village. Don’t get me wrong, my friends and family back home are great, but I always felt like there was something more exciting out there. I will seriously consider it, Samurai, but I think I just need some more time to think.”

He took a few more bites of food before continuing. “On a more practical level, back in the village, I was a carpenter by trade. I was good at my job, and my village respected me for the quality work I put out. I was kinda hoping to find something else a bit more exciting to take on. But if I decide to stay, and that’s what is needed in the town, then so be it. I care far more about helping other ponies out than my own chasing of the wind.”

Silver was also curious as to whatever ‘shopping mission’ it was that Samurai had for him. Unless it involved burning something to a crisp in 10 seconds flat, he wasn’t sure what proficiency it was that he brought to the group. Guess he’ll have to wait and see.

@Astral Vision

@CameoShadowness, @Ragland Tiger

@Samurai Equine

Astral's heart clenched at the sight of Mayor White's tears, even though it was meant to be a happy reaction. As the old colt held the blue unicorn's wrist, the latter could only smile back in thanks; while he was saddened to not know of the dispute's origin at the moment, he was glad to see Mayor White's condition improve because of the group's efforts, and that knowledge alone was rewarding enough.

"I'm glad to hear your health is improving Mr. Addenbrooks, and I am very grateful to hear that me and my friends' efforts were not in vain. Though I do need to ask one other thing. I'm honored that you wanted to meet me face to face, again I thank you for this, but was there any reason besides wishing to congratulate me? Is there something else I can do to help you heal faster, or should I just begin planning the next event?"

Pencil strode after Chelsea who was politely leading her outside. She slowly swished her tail back and forth in an excited but nervous fashion. She convinced herself earlier that Chelsea would make going underwater safe, but Pencil was still concerned about all the minor things that could go wrong. Namely, something happening to the spell that would allow her to breath.

Sighing at herself for thinking this way, Pencil pushed her negative thoughts to the back of her head and focused on the light movement of her hooves. She transfixed her eyes on them as they stopped, then started, stopped, then started. It was a strange distraction, but it kept her mind off of her worries.

Chelsea's ear twitched, hearing Pencil sigh. "What's wrong Pencil?" She asked as she slowed down so she could walk next to Pencil. Pencil's expression looked like a mix of excitement and nervousness.

"I've built a few go karts back where I'm from. Heck, I even built a hovercraft. A hovercraft rides on a cushion of air. It's got no wheels. You could call it flying, but it's sort of low to the ground flying. It can go on roads, dirt, sand, grass and even water." Thundy explained as he shifted to drive. "And off we go." He said accelerating slowly. He wouldn't mash it until later when they arrived closer to the dunes and trails.

@C. Thunder Dash

"A hovercraft, huh? I've never really heard of that, but it does sound interesting. The kind of vehicles that can use air power are basically hot air balloons, or even zeppelins. I never would have expected that a vehicle could float so low to the ground like that." Dynamo responded, feeling fascinated by the different types of technology from where Thundy had come from.

@C. Thunder Dash

"HAH, RESPECT, BUBBA! But Shoal does not talk shop, he talks holds!"

He seemed casual. Not exactly the engineer savy type.

@Pastel Heart

"I might take you up on your offer, sir. I guess it would be awkward to show me this move you're speaking of in the vehicle. It's better to have a demonstration and explanation with open space. Rather than going with the whole closed space situation." He chuckled in agreement, before nodding with interest. "I know you said there was a revolution going on, but I guess Ponysia must have been a beautiful place before then. What was it like with the dress customs?" He asks, before nodding once more in understanding. "I guess we can both relate in having our hearts on our sleeves, or coats. I think I've seen her become quite mature once. It was during a whole karaoke event. She sang so well and it looked as if she was a different pony in her singing performance." He didn't quite understand some of the things that Iron had mentioned. He thought it was due to the old stallion had fallen back into incoherency, but it seemed like he was having fun.

Pencil grinned the way one would when they got caught doing something they shouldn’t. She felt a bit silly now that her worries were paid attention to. If Pencil wasn’t so flustered, she would have smiled. Reluctantly, she told Chelsea,

“N-nothing’s wrong! I just worry about things. Can’t really do anything about it, heh,”

Pencil immediately broke eye contact after she spoke and stared at the ground again. Nothing worse than embarrassment than responding to embarrassment. The whole situation was rather clumsy, to be honest. There really wasn’t anything to worry about; Pencil trusted this griffon and she knew she would be safe. Yet, once again, Pencil’s little anxiety monsters had come back to haunt her.

Calm down a bit, Pencil! she mentally hissed at herself.
