I remember an old friend posting a scan of a panel from one of the G4 comics that had a colt who looked a lot like my main OC, same colours and similar mane, I think without the horn though IIRC. I thought that was a funny coincidence.

As for if MLP actually featured any of my OCs, well, I guess I wouldn't mind it no matter how accurately they were actually depicted.

I’d be freaking honored. If they put my OC in MLP I wouldn’t have to beg and send bribes to the writers anymore. I’d be part of something I love. And let’s face it, it’s not as though my OC is being saved for something bigger and better; she’s a cartoon Pegasus drawn and fashioned after the characters of MLP. They can take the name, likeness, personality and anything else they want…as long as they don’t put her in dungarees or something contrary to her fashion sense. Then I’d have to lawyer-up.

Depends, with a character like my OC, Scootablue, I wouldn't be able to complain, because she technically was ripped straight from the show anyways, she's just Archer Bodkin if Archer had wings, a voice, some accessories, an actual backstory,  and a different cutie mark, and Archer's nickname was already Scootablue anyway, just spelled as Scootablu instead.

I have some OCs who are based on non pony OCs I have for my projects and I just ponify them so people can know them before I show them in their respective game and comic like Kramathia or Rethajni so I would be upset if they took it from me, on the other hand I made OC exclusivly for the fandom such as Chatterbox and Violet Dollmaker, if Hasbro took them to put them in a mlp show I would be flattered

TBH i wouldnt mind if it was my sona that was stolen and put into the show. since theyre meant to just be my sona, and are pretty much only used to represent me, i likely wouldnt use that oc for any projects of mine that would create copyright issues or whatever. all thatd do is allow me to say "hey everypony im in the official mlp show!!1! O:"

 

if they stole any other oc of mine to put in the show though, then yeah id probably be pretty annoyed lol

Not sure how I'd feel...but I don't think I could do anything about it either way. It's not like I have her legally copyrighted or anything and in almost every mention of her she's linked firmly to MLP as an MLP OC, so I don't think I'd have any legal claim or ground to stand on. Maybe if they were actively selling merch of a stolen design I could do more, but if it was just as a background character I'm not so sure.

I think it'd take a lot to convince me it wasn't a coincidence though, I feel like my OCs design is normal enough that her color palette and hairstyle could fit into the background with a few adjustments. I'd say I'd probably start to get a bit more skeptical if not only the colors and hairstyle, but also the cutie marks were the same. Although I feel like I wouldn't really mind if I got a shout out on social media or something. The only time I'd really have a problem is if they were actively profiting or taking credit from the design. 

Either way, I feel like the backlash of MLP stealing an OC with no credit would be enough for MLP to either compensate or just never try in the first place. It seems like the type of situation that anyone in the animation community would jump on.
