[Silver Slate]

Silver Slate stepped off of the train that had arrived at Ponyville, amongst several other travelers. It had been a long way train ride from the land of the kirin, but Silver felt that it was worth the trip to partake in the event. As he reached the event grounds, he could see a large number of ponies were already here. Some already had numbers, the rest were lined up to register. He joined the line and waited until it was his turn to receive a number from @Dynamo Pad. It made him a bit more comfortable to know that at least he had met one pony here before.

As a bespectacled mare had entered the area, Dynamo had hoped to help them out. He stopped however, as @Shiny Silvermoon had made their way over towards the mare. From what it looked like, the two of them knew each other already. He smiled as it was always sweet of friends to help one another. Upon hearing his name being called, Dynamo smiled as he met up with the mare, known as Chatterbox. "Hello Chatterbox and it's great to meet you, as well! I've read that paper once or twice on my trips to Canterlot." He started, checking off the box that was next to Chatterbox's name, as well as getting her a number. "It's great to have you join us for the race. Here you go! You've got number 20. That'll be one free hug! Good luck to you and remember to have fun!"

As he finished giving Chatterbox their number, the gaming unicorn's ears perked as he heard his name being called. Looking around, his eyes fell upon a fluffy smallish mare. He noticed that one eye was covered in her silver white mane, as well as looking a little out of breath. Looking through the names, he nodded with a smile as he saw it was DecemberBreeze. "Hey, December! It's okay and no need to apologize. I can honestly relate as I lost my jacket before. That, and sometimes I happen to trip on my own hooves when I'm going too fast in a run." He chuckled sheepishly, before checking off her name and grabbing a number for the mare. "Here you are, December. You've got the number 84. That'll be one free hug. Don't forget to have fun and good luck in the race today!"

After giving numbers to both Chatterbox and December, Dynamo had looked over to see even more spectators making their way over to the stands. "It looks like there are some ponies and other creatures traveling by train. Sounds like it's perfect timing as everyone is almost here." He spoke to himself as he double checked the check list once more. Looking over to the newcomer, he smiled as he recognized the grey Kirin. "Silver! It's so good to see you again. How have you been, my friend?" He asks, reaching into the list of numbers to give to the male Kirin. "Here you go, Silver. You get the number 31. Good luck to you out there in the race and don't forget to have lots of fun!" He exclaimed with a smile. Suddenly a random thought had occurred to him. "Oh, yeah. I have a friend here that's also taking part and her name is @Silverspark184 Silver too.. So, it looks like we'll have two Silver's in the race. I wonder if this is why we have numbers so things won't get confusing when there are others that might have similar names." He pondered as he presented number 31 to @GeneralDirection Silver.

 Errrr... Discord?? Tirek?? Is once of "those" activities?? As long as I dont have to run under chocolate rain! I just got my hair done! if you smell it it would be berry smell, people say I smell like blueberry pancakes but is actually just berries shampoo!

One thing that you'll learn from me is that I love hugs." He explained, accepting her hoofshake.

Looking around with her at the crowd of ponies, Dynamo couldn't help in chuckling with a smile. "That's one thing that you'll learn about Ponyville. It might look like a small village, but it gets pretty bustling and crowded out of nowhere. This is honestly a normal occurrence every now and then. I've visited Canterlot here and there, but mostly for a tournament."

"I think I'll pass. I'm not that comfortable touching new ponies, no offense. And I guess Ponyville has become pretty popular in recent years... Guess it'll feel just like home, but with less marble. I'll see you later, maybe?"

 

Thus the blue mare picked up her number, applying it to her flank before finding herself a seat. The race didn't seem to be starting yet, perfect time to get herself mentally prepared and properly hydrated.

Deccie takes her number and places it on herself and reworks her scarf and socks so she doesn’t trip during the race, but first she hugs @Dynamo Pad and smiles “I appreciate it, you have fun too!” She walks around stretching a bit before she realizes all the different types of species here, it was insane to see so many different individuals , it made her happy to see how excited everyone was. This was her first run and she hopes she has fun and makes new friends along the way, with her short legs she wasn’t a fast pony but this wouldn’t stop her from enjoying her first experience at the running of the leaves.

I watch Shiny Silvermoon, thinking that she reminds me of Pinkie Pie. I smile a very tiny smile and look back ahead.

'Mom, Dad, I hope you're proud of me and the pony I've become,' I thought to myself, bowing my head somberly. I take yet another deep breath and become serious, looking back ahead of me.

Dynamo smiled happily as he received the hug from Chatterbox, before pulling back and nodding. "You're very welcome! You're welcome once more and it feels like this is going to be a fun race for everyone." He smile turned into a small grin as so many competitors were lining up to either sign up or prepare to race.

Dynamo gave a look of understanding, before nodding. "That's okay and I completely understand. I remember my old teacher had a summer home here in Ponyville, before he gifted the home to me when he was retiring to Las Pegasus. I've seen many ponies and other creatures take residence in Ponyville. So, you're right that it feels like it's become really popular or plentiful. I hope that you enjoy your stay here and definitely. I hope we can see each other again soon." He responded, waving at Azure as he turned to double check with on his list.

Upon hearing the word 'number' Dynamo had turned to see a pink Pegasus with a yellow and purple mane. "Hello! I hear that you are needing a number. Are you interested in the race? I'll make sure to get your a number as soon as possible. My name is Dynamo Pad, by the way, but you can call me Dynamo. It's nice to meet you." He stated, introducing himself as he was looking through the list for their name.

 "Yay~! Hugs!" Dynamo cheered as he was happy to receive a hug back. "Thank you and I'll be sure to do my best!" He nodded with a grin as he watched her take her leave to walk around and prepare for the race. Looking back at his list, he was determined to continue to do his best to help anyone with their number or assistance in general.

 Oh yes! I do remember, people that looked to the Nightmare Moon statue thought it was like a prophesy and there was many ponies trying to make an "Moon apple" cult, but it didnt catch up! There was so many pranks I been reporting this year, am not sure if Silver made the prank of give one side of a cord to one pony to hold due "experiment" then walked far to another street and gave the other side and just left leaving the ponies holding the same cord for hours, perhaps was Silver or perhaps another pony

[Silver Slate]

Silver smiles as takes the number he was given with his magic. "I've been well, my friend! It been several months since I visited Ponyville, and with the Running of the Leaves happening, I thought it'd be the perfect time to come back for a visit. Oh, and you're getting a hug anyway, regardless of whether you asked..." Silver gives his friend a big hug. "...and there you are."

Silver looks around at all the ponies that had gathered.

"Hey, um, if you need any help with anything, let me know. Looks like you're gonna have your hooves pretty full here." He remarks before stepping aside to let whoever was next get their number.

After a short while, Silver finds a place amongst the other ponies at the starting line, and waits patiently for the race to begin. His intent was to not focus on winning the race, but to simply enjoy the experience of being there.

I also dont know if Silver made the prank of fill a balloon at max, put whipped cream, to make it look like a cake and give it to a pony in their birthday only so the balloon pops with the knife and the cream explode all over the ponies nearby???

Flowie started smiling as soon as Dynamo asked if she's interested in the race, as if something silly came to her mind. Without thinking too much, Flowie replied, "Hello Dynamo! Actually, I just wanted to get the number and call it a day. " - immediately after she continued to make sure, that she wasn't misunderstood - "Just kidding! I indeed would like to participate in the race. Although, truth be told, I'll be taking it easy, too busy enjoying the views hehe!" - she smiled and started looking around, already taking her time to appreciate the view of trees, before all the leaves fall...

Flowie kept smiling and nodding while Chatterbox was talking, patiently waiting to respond without interrupting~ "Yup! Something like this, you got it right!  I suspected so, understandable hehe. I'm not a particularly interesting pony though, but I'll do my best to not disappoint!" - she grinned.

Flowie smiled to the kind words Shiny spoke, and energetically replied "~And yourself of course! Thank you Shiny, it's nice to meet you too!"
