I've always been a cat person. I tried dogs....just thought they were to needy.

Technically, yes.  They're family pets more so than anything.  We have three dogs who we all take of.  I'm not really a pet person so if I move out, I won't miss them.  One was hit by a car and almost died about two months ago, but I was definitely the odd one out of my family.  They were moved to tears, where I just felt bad for the pain the little guy must have been feeling.  Then again, I've never been moved to tears hearing the passing of a family member.  That doesn't mean I don't care, I just don't get sad easily.

 

That being said, I still take care of the dogs and treat them well.  I just don't see them as my pets, because I am not a pet person.  I still hate it when people treat their pets or any animal badly though.

Ya one of my cats just died and he was 22 years old

Dang.. 22 years on a cat? That is quite a long life for a cat!

 

 

 

Oh and I also have had a rabbit and my brother had a hampster. My rabbits name was Mudkip, and my brothers hamster was named Snorlax(I was a kid, and we were both pokemon nerds, actually I still am lol.)

 

My mom made us take care of an Nintendog for like a few months before we could get a pet though, it was an odd way to do that, but I guess it somewhat worked ;p. I took care of that Nintendog, and then I kinda abandoned it after a bit, and I felt bad for a bit too. I get attached to animals, even virtual ones ;p.

 

My mom also had a cat before she had me and my brother, her name was patches. The cat died at like age 17. A few years ago. It had some kind of esophagus problem, i forget. She could be kind of aggressive, due to that issue partially, but she had her nice times, but I didn't get super attached to her since I wasn't around her as often as my Dog or rabbit. Who I had since they were really young.

 

 

 

I already mentioned my dog I use to have and had to give away, he was like 5, his name was Oreo. :/ I miss him the most out of my lost pets, but I can't do anything about him now, it's been a few years. 

 

I do want to get a Dog atleast, and maybe some other pets when I move out of my house, because I love animals, but i'll have to see what happens.

Hey everyone, update time!

 

I had a bit of a scare on Tuesday. We almost lost my cat Bingo (I mean dead lost, not missing). But thankfully he turned out to be alright. But the event prompted me to go through my old photo albums and write up my memoirs of the 17 years I've had with him. I know I probably only have a couple more years with him, and so I wanted to get his life story down while he's still with me. I have two dogs:
1. A Blue Healer mix, who is diabetic and 11 years old.

We also have a family cat called Coco, she is literally the furryist thing you have ever seen, big round eyes and stopped growing when she was a kitten. Basically a fluffball forever :3

We have 2 female Labradors, both bigger/sturdier than they should be. But literally the friendliest things ever. Sometimes, in the morning I walk into the kitchen and the dogs are curled up together and the cats against or on top of them. Seeing as coco literally weighs a 15th of what the dogs do, its very amusing. We also have two hamsters, although they are a bit skittish.

Don't remember if I posted here or not but sadly no. We had a Boxer but we had to get rid of her b/c she was too big, even though it's not as if the sweet girl bothered anyone.

 

Haha oh well, we can have a dog, it just would have to be smaller than a Boxer. We'd love to get a Basenji or a Minature Schnauzer. Such great breeds!! (of course, I love most dog breeds haha so yeah!)

Bogie (named for Humphrey Bogart) usually beats me to the best spot on the couch for MLP. He's loved it ever since we started changing the sing-along during the theme song to "My little Bogie, I used to wonder what fluffy could be, My little Bogie, Until you got fluff all over me.." It goes on from there and it's pretty terrible, but he likes it.
