I can't link a vid, but Twilit Parasite from Twilight Princess. Anyone who's played has an idea of what I'm talking about.

 

It's basically a bloated huge tick that's 3 times your size, with small tentacles that you have to destroy. It also turns invisible.

 

Very nasty. Very disturbing.

 

Zant in that game was also weird as fuck.

I guess he's not that scary looking, but he's pretty disturbing within the context of the game. In fact, most of Psychonauts is a little disturbing.

Giygas, from the Mother series, namely EarthBound. While I personally find him to be more awesome than disturbing he's proven to a lot of people that he is quite horrible. He is the embodiment of evil and has no real physical mass when he attacks, Ness and his party cannot even comprehend his attacks, it is as if they are ethereal, yet do tons of damage.

Have you read his origin story? It makes it all the more disturbing/sad to go along with an already disturbing boss.

But the boss that got me the most freaked out, got to be Mad Jack from Donkey Kong 64.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great game but that boss is horrifying.

 

Every single boss in DK64 was scary. First boss: Giant, rocket-launching psycho Army Dillo. Second: Dogadon, a huge dragonfly that sneaks up on you. Third: the demented Mad Jack. Fourth: Pufftoss, a pufferfish that you fight in a dark cavern. Fifth: Dogadon, but bigger. Sixth: Army Dillo, but bigger and crazier. Seventh: scary cardboard cutout of K. Rool.

Also, the final boss fight in Epic Mickey terrified me. Don't laugh, I'm extremely squeamish and it wasn't fun at all. Also kind of a abodyemigphobic, I hate anything that has to do with blood or organs. It scares the crap out of me.

The BroodMother from dragon age origins- to think Bioware had issues with nudity during the game then show us that.

 

The Gaping dragon- this is an optional boss in dark souls and with good reason just look at a pic of this thing and you will understand

 

and last one isnt rely a boss but a playable character in a fighting game... i am speaking of Voldo from SoulCalibure this f ker gave me nightmares.

Not really a boss, but I found the Flood in Halo CE to be quite revolting.

I kind of ruined the reveal moment of The Flood for myself. Before I got the game, I had already learned all about The Flood, so 343 wasn't really a mysterious or unnerving level for me. Shame...

Giygas of course, but there is also a hidden boss in MOTHER3 that's just as fucking scary, and has scary battle music too. It's very similar to Giygas. The song sounds like demonic mumbling, and you can make out the name "Lucas..." (the main character's name) within it.

 

Giygas, the hidden boss in MOTHER3, and Uboa honestly prevent me from sleeping. Lmao. If I ever vs them in the game or watch gameplay of their games online, and they come up, it's a guarantee I won't sleep. Hahah

when i was young, i was scared of the ghost boss knuckles had to finght in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. geezus i would turn my face away from the TV and had my brother beat the boss because i couldnt bear to watch. like a post above, Zant from Twilight princess was quite.. demented at the least. the one that made me piss my pants (i was about 9 or 10 when i played) was the Yeti woman boss from Twilight Princess. I literally jumped out of my seat when she turned around with her demon form released.

 

 

also, majora's mask freaked me out too, and sometimes, when im playing/watching it at night, still gives me a sinister feeling. ugh.. i had the luck when i was playing that game to beat the last boss at night alone in my game room. omg i was so scared..

 

SA-X from Metroid Fusion is as creepy as they come, I mean just look at its face! It's like a freakin' zombie Samus...

 

OMG. DONT EVEN REMIND ME OF THAT. I COULDNT BARE TO ACTUALLY PLAY THAT BOSS AFTER READING ABOUT IT AND SUCH.

I'm pretty sure some of you if not all, have come across a disturbing video game boss. Whether it's because of the concept, looks or even how it acts in battle, you've all came across it. For me personally, it was Gygas from Earthbound, it scares the shit out of me everytime i see it and it got worse when i saw the concept on him.

I would have to say Scarecrow in Batman: Arkham Asylum because, of his portrayed appearance in the game. He just screamed fear when you saw him.
