I usually never get excited for Disney movies unless they're also made by Pixar. This is one exception.

The idea seems nice like the video game version of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Seeing Eggman gives me hope Sonic may make an appearance. Or, at the very lest, Mike Pollock will voice him like in the game assuming he has a speaking role.

I'll admit that the first time I heard of this movie I wasn't entirely sold on the concept but after watching that trailer all of my doubts basically dissipated. Of course having Sarah Silverman be on the film is just more icing on the cake.

Egman, Bowser, where's Ganon/Ganondorf? I guess they could only buy so much in terms of rights to characters.

I personally am going to see this movie the day it comes out. I can't wait to see it, and I think it's going to be a spectacular combination between advertisement and publicity, and all-in-all shattering the fourth wall. Possibly the fifth, considering we have villains from different games interacting with each other.

I can't say how excited I am for this. I saw the trailer and it came to me as an instant surprise and enjoyment with so many thoughts rushing into my head at once. I will try to convey them in this post.

Okay, first of all, what. Two of my favorite universes in the whole world of pop culture, coming together in this way, in the most unlikely of events. The world of video games, and the incredible and legendary works of Walt Disney Animation, as well as the world of animation in general. There's not enough I can say about how much is going into this film, when it comes to the personnel and partnerships.

The project is being produced by legendary John Lasseter, who has done priceless and immeasurable amounts of successful works in Pixar movies. The clear, hi-quality films he has worked on in the past rival and beat out their competitors on so many levels. The fact that this is an animated movie led by him is one huge reason for me to go see it.

Secondly, is the video game theme. I don't think the movie industry has enough video game-themed movies. No, I'm not talking about movies of video game franchises. I am talking about movies like this that spawn their own original legacy and storyline, full of creativity and humor that anyone can enjoy. I love video games to an unspeakable level, and one of my favorite things about watching this movie is going to be the high amounts of video game references. I already heard quite a few allusions to retro game tunes in the trailer, and I can't even begin to say how happy I am that Disney got the rights and partnered up with many of today's greatest developers (Sega, Nintendo, Namco-Bandai, etc.) and put many famous characters in, fully rendered in 3D, as well as I will enjoy those references, too.

Overall, the story looks intersting, it looks like a funny movie, and I just simply cannot wait to see this once it hits the big screen. It is definitely one of the most unique films in history behind the scenes, looking forward to more licensed characters (and hopefully some voice actors, too) in the coming future.

Egman, Bowser, where's Ganon/Ganondorf? I guess they could only buy so much in terms of rights to characters.

If they wanted to, they could put him in there. They already have Nintendo's partnership already with Bowser in there, so they could've easily sneaked Ganon in there too if they wanted. I guess that wanted to balance casual/hardcore game bosses, as well as have a more recognizable series villain (Bowser of Super Mario) in there rather than one not as many people would recognize.

I heard they spent something like 11 million just for the rights to use the characters.

Anypony else looking forward to this movie? I think this is the first time Disney/Pixar have created a movie based on a video game, including video game characters, such as Bowser, Dr. Eggman, Clyde, Zangief, even Kano (even though most would appear as cameo), which i really interesting in my opinion. :)

Here is the trailer:

Yes. this movie is REALLY unique!

It takes world famous video game characters and mashes them up!

I can't think of any other movie with this theme, i really like it and i look forward on seeing it on the cinema.

The only movie, or in this case a serie i can think of is Captain N the game master.
