gaming Playing MMOs?

I've played my fair share, but I don't think they're my thing anymore. Most of them require lots and lots of time to really get anywhere and I don't have it in me anymore to devote to them.

I've been practically everywhere, from Ragnarok Online (bestest MMO ever), to Final Fantasy XI, to World of Warcraft. Of those three I enjoyed WoW the least. :P

I won't lie though, I still do get the urge from time to time for some grindage experience and making some fat loots while showing it off other people. xP

I think for now I'll just wait for the MLP: FIM MMO to come out and hopefully see you all there. :D

I'm part of 6 MMOs atm. (Soon to be 8 next year: MLP Online and TERA Online) My six are Maple Story, World of Warcraft, Vinidictus, Dynasty Warriors Online, Aika Online, and Wonderland Online.

I love MMOs, I've played *gags before the name* Runescape (I hate RS), Wow, Aion, Rift, Guild wars, and perhaps SW:TOR soon. Though I am debating on returning to WoW, as I have spent most of my time in that specific MMO, and is maxxd out on level, and can see the content I want. End game pvp.

Though TOR looks interesting, it looks a little more like it has an Aion feel to me...Not sure why I don't think TOR works by a combo system.

For the time being, I'm not able to play any MMORPG's, because my WoW account has been hacked.

But I might soon hop onto the SW:TOR franchicse, and I'll definitely be playing Guild Wars 2 when they release it.

I have World of Warcraft but I dont play it atm as I dont really feel like it. and I have MapleStory, also don't really feel like playing atm, but if you play on EU servers, its alot easier if you want to play with me there as I dont have to pay if I want to play it one day :P

I have played my fair share of MMOs. The one I played the most was WoW (big surprise). I left though because it wasn't delivering enough content, Cata was really a refurbishment to the old world. I played RS breifley... hated it. Wizard 101 i used to play, it was probably my favorite of the bunch.

All in all, I'm more of a console gamer.

I'm going to stick with the free-to-play mmos for the time being, bacause I don't have enough finacial security to pay every month,to play the popular mmos like WoW or EQ.

My favorite game genre is the fantasy rpgs. I am liking Lord of the Rings Online(LotRO, because it has the features of housing, crafting, and mounts to ride on.

Well I used to play Runescape with friends... never really got into it though. But I'm famous among my friends for spending 10-ish years in a cow patch! :P

I played Star Wars Galaxies (SWG) which is a horribly developed game! (well aside from space, they did that to near perfection) But what kept me wanting to go back was that it was more of a fantasy world then a game! You could decorate your house or interior of ship with ANYTHING and put it about ANYWHERE! Decorating the inside of my ship is something that I loved doing so when my RP guild mates came over they'd be in awe of my sweet decorating skills! It was probably the best game for Roleplaying!

Then I played WoW for a whole 20 minutes.

I have DC Universe Online downloaded on my PC, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet, same with All Points Bulletin Reloaded.

Now I'm playing SWTOR which upset me a bit because no matter how much people claim it is, it is NOT a replacement for SWG! SWG was a huge roleplaying sandbox, while SWTOR is more a a "theme park" MMO with little to no immersion other than the story! That's not a bad thing though. SWTOR and SWG are practically polar opposites from one another.

I'm loving SWTOR's story though but I'm not sure if I'm going to stick around long after I complete every story! (which will take ages!)

I also plan to play Guild Wars 2, but I'm not to sure I can with my current Graphics Card so I'll have to upgrade that then.

Also there's a Fallout MMO in development which I'd like to see how that pans out.

Let's see: I used to play City of Heroes, but that got turned off. Played Word of Warcraft because my wife wanted to play together, and we both got bored of it. Currently playing Star Wars: The Old Republic, about once a week. And I keep trying DC Universe Online, but I'm having trouble staying interested for extended periods.

I'd rather play single-player versions of these games, to be honest. Or LAN versions with a small group of friends. I just don't get excited by the 'massive' part of the name.  blink.png

Used to play Runescape ages ago, it was a lot of fun for a while when all of my friends were still playing it, but it lost it's charm eventually. Played Pandora Saga: Weapons of Balance for a while, but it got really boring really fast. It's just a generic grindfest, wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I really want to play Star Wars: The Old Republic, but there's no way this useless computer can run it.

Geez, you all make me feel old, what with my EverQuest account I opened back in 98/99 and did not close until EverQuest 2 launched in 2004. Since then I've played numerous MMOs and tried dozens more. Ones that I still play include Guild Wars 1 and 2, Star Trek Online, the new Neverwinter mmo, Vindictus sporadically, and EverQuest 2 (These days it's mostly logging in as a free 2 play account just to keep in touch with guildies.)

I have played WoW and Guild Wars 1+2 in the past and I had the best time in WoW because of my friends. As noobish as we were, we explored everything and the entire group was called over if someone found something cool. I eventually lost interest because of the massive experience grind and real life.

I played through all the campaigns of Guild Wars and while it was different than Warcraft in many aspects, I had a fun time with it. I liked the stories, the idea that my character was actually a hero and has significance in the history of the world. They certainly weren't at shakespearian classic quality, but I still enjoyed them (for the most part) none the less.

Naturally, Guild Wars 2 comes into the equation. I was very excited for this game in particular because it appeared to take care of the problems I had with Warcraft. I didn't like the grind, I didn't like doing things over and over for a certain piece of armor while being at the mercy of a random number generator and this game genuinely looked like it was going to be a lot of fun.

I played it from the beta test until recently when I realized how much of a gear treadmill there actually was for a game that wanted no gear treadmill. Anyone playing GW2, just look at how you obtain ascended items and you'll understand my thought process. It's sad really, I love the visuals so much, the artists have so much of my respect, but I just can't wrap my head around some of the design choices.

As for the future, I think im going to avoid the MMO genre and go back to regular gaming.

I've played Final Fantasy XI which is my all-time Favorite, but I never got the chance to get back in due to issues so I don't know what's going on. My Progress in the Game is pretty much good though after all that hard work I did so far and The only Jobs that I played the most was Summoner as my Best Mage Job and Samurai as my Best Melee Job. The Other Jobs I leveled so far were Warrior, Color Mages except Blue Mage, Dragoon, Beastmaster, Dancer, Scholar, and Paladin. I was Looking Forward to play as Rune Fencer although I have to delete the old content off from steam and download the seekers Edition.

The Other MMO I played was Maple Story. I've been Playing it for 2 years now, but before I quit playing, I started like around the year 2006. Things have been Going Out of control lately and Most players in the game are complaining about the issues and the company never fixed the issues and problems. Everytime there's a Update, they just end up being bugged and glitched that's it.

The Last MMO was Trickster Revolution, but What I last saw was Closed Down for now and The Game was no longer Published.

I've played quite a fair share of MMOs throughout my time. My main one (as well as my first MMO) is RuneScape, that of which I still play to this date. Started back in '05/'06-ish and still play off and on from time to time. A classic game for me. Another close competitor would be MapleStory, though nowadays I play more Private Servers since my original account got hacked and banned ('twas a nice welcome back gift...). Other games I've played would include CroNous, Allods, Runes of Magic, Rappelz, Vindictus, and Mabinogi. All of which had their long times of me playing them non-stop.

I play a text-based mmo called Torn City along with a group of 20 or so Bronies and Pegasisters. Bundles of fun all around.  Always looking for new people to join us!
