I like One Direction, they have talent. They are nice people. Out of date this opinion, ikr?

I will never date someone who is fat. I don't find fat people attractive. It may sound mean, but I can't help who I'm attracted to; or in this case not. This does not mean I dislike fat people, nothing wrong with them... it's just an opinion.

I am absolutely embarrassed to associate with the fandom anymore.

A lot of the popular brony music is terrible. Seriously...

I'm against all religion.

I think people should stop telling people who are absolutely terrible at singing, that they are good. Giving people false confidence is worse than telling them they are bad. *cough every person on YouTube! *cough*

Furries, weebs and bronies are all weirdos. I am pretty much in all of them topkek

Why are you here then? This is an MLP fan forum. If you're really that embarassed, you really shouldn't post here.

Also, District 9 isn't a cinematic masterpiece. It's Apartheid with Aliens. While it's cool, it's really nothing new.

I'm an MLP fan, this is an MLP forum not a 'brony' forum. I should be welcomed here. You are contradicting love and tolerance. I just do not like having the 'brony' label.

Just because of the name?....Okay.

Blame trolls and brony stereotypes. My friends were even giving me shit for being a 'brony'. I don't want to have the name. I prefer MLP fan or coloured magical equine enthusiast.

Like i said, i don't get it, but have it your way.

Here's a gaming one for you: Morrowind is not that great. It's completely overrated. To the people that are no doubt typing up a response defending their beloved game, save it. Pull your head out of your ass and take off the rose-tinted glasses.

The same goes to the people who are constantly praising Classic Fallout but bash on the newer titles. Seriously, they weren't God's gift to gaming, so quit acting like it is. It just makes you look stupid.

Morrowind is a good game. Nothing more. So I agree!

The classic Fallouts were good. The newer ones are far more enjoyable though.

Like i said, i don't get it, but have it your way.

(My apologies for the large wall of text, but I've wanted to get this off my chest for a while.)

I don't know how long you've been around the fandom, but it's gotten worse in a few ways. Most of all, there have been a number of people that have somehow gotten the idea in their head that because it's entertaining for older audiences, it is now a show for them and made for children anymore (as if being for children, girls in particular, automatically makes it crap, and anything that's good therefore cannot be for little girls). Not to mention the idea that they're the biggest audience for MLP and Hasbro's biggest cash cow (even though a good number of them don't buy any of the merchandise, and even fewer own the actual toys). And every time the show sends a shout-out to the fandom (which is not bad in and of itself), it only reinforces that notion.

Then there are all of the people who are overly obsessed with the show, ranting about continuity errors and storytelling, and anything else they don't like. Or when something in the show violates their precious headcanon. And sometimes, you just can't avoid it, no matter if you try. Were you there for all of the big hissy fits when Twilight became a princess? Or when Equestria Girls was revealed?

Then there's the attitude they have towards earlier generations.  So what if G3 wasn't as good? Yeah, it was kinda dull, and the characters weren't really interesting or relatable. It was nothing more than cutesy fluff, do you really have to go out of your way to take a shit on it? (Besides, the toy line was better in many ways.)  They want to pretend that MLP didn't exist prior to 2010.

Then there's all of the creepiness. All of the waifus, and talking about what pony they'd date, which one is most attractive, etc. Not to metion all of the porn.  Does it exist for any animated character? Duh. But compare how long it takes to find an image not appropriate for kids (with SafeSearch off) of someone like a Disney Princess, and with any MLP character. There's quite a difference. I wouldn't want to be called part of the reason you can't search for any image of a children's cartoon character without having to use a filter to get rid of all of the porn.

Despite all of that, I'm still here because I like MLP, and there are a lot of people here who have the same interests as me, and there are a few here that I've taken a liking to, despite not being here for very long.  I've frequented a stream for bronies for years now, and I like most of the people there, and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. Hell, I drive 90 miles away from my house just to go to meetups, because they're a fun bunch to be around.  And I even think other MLP collectors tend to give bronies a little too much crap for things that aren't their fault.

There's enough of the fandom for me to like it and keep me here, but also enough of an ugly side that keeps me from wanting to taking on a label I never wanted in the first place. I've always been more of a collector anyway.

First of all, i am in this fandom since September 2011.

You know, i kind of agree with people being overly critical about the show and the fact that the bronies think that they're something better. But i wouldn't judge cloppers or Waifu hunters, because they're just as much a part of the fandom as we are.

What you just said is not a problem that this fandom faces. It's something that all fandom face. But you know what? It dosen't bother me.

Back when i started, these kind of people also existed. Maybe not as big as today, but that's because we where smaller back then. Today we're bigger then ever.

I was never afraid to use the Brony label, because till this day, i have yet to experience anything negative happening to me in my private life because of it. I wear pony shirts constantly, i have pony plushies in my room and some posters.

I don't care if Bronies clop, have fantasies about waifus, follow some kind of code of honor, etc. because i don't care what the people in this fandom are doing and i don't judge them either. I met several cloppers and some of them are some of the nicest people i met in the fandom.

Sorry for assuming you were new. I looked at the join date and went from that. I started watching around December 2011, lurked around through most of 2012 and started getting more involved around mid-Season 3, so yeah, you've got me beat. It's just that a lot of people who have been around for that long have either left or lost most of their initial enthusiasm.

I know a few people IRL who clop, one even draws it, and I've got no problem that they do (God knows I can't judge), and they're pretty cool people to be around. They don't bring it up, and I don't mention it, and I forget they are even in to that kind of thing.  But I will be honest: I don't like it, and I don't like seeing it, and I'd rather just avoid it altogether and keep it out of mind.

I'll admit that I've got a lower tolerance for this than others.  There's only so much crap I can take.

But, sorry to unload that on you. When I started writing that, I got through reading one of the most idiotic posts I've ever seen here, so I wasn't in the best of moods. The last thing I want to do is ruin something for someone else, because that gets on my nerves.

But beyond the things I don't like, there's still enough of a disconnect between myself and the bulk of bronies that I only would call myself one because I was going to be whether I wanted to or not.

Hey, it's cool. We all have our bad days from time to time, so you don't need to be sorry.

I can understand if you don't like to listen to clop stuff, because it's not everyones cup of tea. Heck, i don't like MLP Gorefics, because i can't stand the picture, that these characters actually bleed to death, eventhough i have nothing against blood, or guys who do Gorefics.

Just try to stay in the right places as good as you can. All those cynics who speak bad of the show, let them talk. Aslong as you and i still enjoy the show, it's all that matters. Try to not let these things get beat over your head and you'll be good. ;)

All types of pop?

Because from what I've observed, many British pop stars like Chris Martin are insanely talented when it comes to singing.

No, I didn't mean all pop and rock. It's just a general trend I've seen with modern music.

As for Chris Martin, I wouldn't give him too much credit as a singer. Like I said, most modern musicians don't even know what intonation is, and I think Martin fits that category.

But hey, I'll give him credit for his composition skills and originality. Coldplay has a lot of talent when it comes to that.

I hate the 11th Doctor and River Song. I was so happy when they left the show and Capaldi was announced as the new Doctor, my mother literally found me dancing in my room when I heard the news.

Nutella tastes like shit!

Firefly, even though I like it, is very overrated.

I fucking hate dolphins, and pandas! Seriously, just let pandas die out. They're complete worthless.

If the rain forest looked like a great big pair of tits, we'd take better care of it.

The new Star Trek movies made me cry, but only because JJ Abrams was pissing on my childhood.

Ocarina of Time wasn't even the best game of 1998, let alone the best game of all time.

Fallout 2 was.

In fact, Fallout 2 was probably the best game of the 5th generation.

Scratch that, all time.

*My 2 favorite games of all time are Morrowind and Fallout 2*

Morrowind... is pretty flawed. Like, really flawed. But, the goods outweigh the bads A LOT.

And Fallout 2... is there anything wrong with that game?

But... Fallout 3 is good, and Skyrim's OK... in it's own way.

Screw Oblivion.

I am very strongly against clop/excessive gore. I think that it's an insult to the original characters, because to me (this will sound weird) they're just as much real.
