[Some spoilers] Do you find yourself overwhelmed when anticipating season three?

There's been lots of season three discussions here on the Forums already, and I can say that I get too excited for my own good at times. Speculation pours into my head faster than a river current, I'm constantly met with different ideas as I go along, and I have a rather strong urge to write lengths upon lengths of text on here.

 

Things about season three were already presented to us - new characters like Princess Skyla (though, that was just a doll and nothing more), Trixie shown to have a menacing necklace on a leaked photo, and some other leaked information in the form of text by the show's consulting producer Lauren Faust (the possibly of Rainbow Dash having a boyfriend in season three).

 

Sometimes all these ideas are a bit too much for me to handle, and it stems back to season two when the season two speculation episode threads were up and running. If I don't write them down somewhere, I kind of lose it. Anybody else feel this way?

As long as we got this forum and stuff to talk about, it's really easy to wait for it to come.

 

Even with all the speculation and whatnot, just gives you something to look forward to.

The Trixie necklace and the trashed Carousel Boutique and Sweet Apple Acres definitely got me interested. I wanna see Scootaloo get her own episode in S3 though, so I'm very excitedly waiting.

Nope! I like the show but it's not often on the forefront of my mind at all.

 

But I will say I am pretty excited to see about the crystal pony place and I find myself often humming or singing the song in my head lol

Doctors recommend I avoid the show cause it gets me too excited (and to stop eating chocolate-covered butter sticks for breakfast).

It's not overwhelming now, but when I read that Octavia might get a duet with Rarity I literally went all Twilight Sparkle on the hotel lobby. (I was on vacation.)

Anytime I see something for the new season, I do tend to think about it. Like how is the episode going to play out to get to that point, what old and new charaters are coming back, and just hearing new stuff is fun. So I get exited when I here new stuff.

i am and well i feel ashamed but with work i havnt had time to finish the seasons yet hahhah i watch a few episodes but then go to work and sleep i really watch reruns on tv lol i need to finish them so that i can be at ready for s3 to come out

I kinda agree with you. All the speculation gets poured into my head as well. But i have a strong mind. i don't get overwhelmed by it. Its kinda awesome. to thnk of the possibiltys and potential this season may hold. But i do know when to be patient. Cuz if ur not pateint for things... bad things might happen. Good things happen to those who wait. So lets all try not to get super excited and do something we might all regret heheh.

I just feel that once season three begins, this site will boom in posts and forums and stuff like that. The only thing I have to say against the wait is that I think Lauren Faust has kept the suspense for too long and that the string holding the audience and the next season is slowly breaking. By that I mean I think that she has almost lost some of the fanbase due to the seemingly endless break. It has been about three or four months now. I'm a patient person, but I would just like to express the opinions of those who aren't as patient.

I prefer not to get my expectations too high for Season 3. That way I'm sure not to be disappointed! I also try to look at as little spoilers as possible.

 

I did the mistake with Season 2 of getting really excited every time there was a leaked clip from an upcoming episode and watching it immediately. I really made the episodes more dull and less exciting than when you have no idea what to expect from it. I'm gonna try to stay as spoiler-free as possible for this season!

Well, I'm looking forward to season three, but I can't say I'm overwhelmed. I'm more eager for the season start of Doctor Who. (Sept 8!) If I somehow had to chose only one to watch, I'd have to go with the The Lonely God. Edited August 25, 2012 by cuteycindyhoney

Not really. I enjoy discussing new ideas, spoilers and possible hoaxes as they come up, and I enjoyed seeing the two new songs, seeing the new decimated Ponyville pictures, etc, but it isn't overwhelming. I focus on the now and the show as a whole, instead of obsessing over season 3. When it comes it will come, and we will see what really happens :3

Though i can truely wait, the fanfics and fanbase will have to suffice for now. But trust me i still anticipate it.

I'm happy to just wait patiently and be happy with what we get, honestly I barely look into spoilers and details about season 3 at all, I think its better to be pleasantly surprised later than speculate my time away.

At this point I just want it to start -- There are three painful times with a series you like:

 

1) That time after the series is cancelled and you know you arent ever going to be seeing any more episodes

2) Between seasons wondering and hoping beyond hope it will be renewed when the series is on the edge

3) Waiting impatiently for the new episodes to appear.

 

And yes #3 is overwhelming right now.

UGH! YES! Everyday I check for spoilers! When I find out their is no spoilers I get mad and cry (not really I'm too awesome)
