GottlosMann 221 June 20, 2013 Share June 20, 2013 I'm open to a certain extent. If someone asks if I'm a brony, I say yes, and I have Vinyl Scratch as my phone's lock screen wallpaper. I don't wear any MLP shirts, mainly because they only carry them at Hot Topic around here, and they don't keep shirts in their stores that fit me. Seriously, they expect everyone that wants to buy from them to have a small frame, and be skinny! Gott weiß ich will kein Engel sein!
Appleloosa 90 June 23, 2013 Share June 23, 2013 Not very open at all personally. I dont really have a good reason for it, its just Im afraid of my peer's reactions if they found out. Im into sports, so even the slightest bit of something considered "gay" (not my word choice, theirs) by teammates or coaches can bother me to a point where it will effect my on-field performance. (Great teammates, I know) It would also probably effect my academic performance and everything else in life as Im prone to being easily bothered/worried/stressed by things. Not only that, but word seems to get around quick at my school, so if I tell one, might as well tell them all.
BrainyBrony 252 June 23, 2013 Share June 23, 2013 (edited) I'm in the UK. In a village. No one's even heard of Bronies. If they found out I watched MLP and was a fan of it, the whole school would find out in a matter of milliseconds thanks to modern technology. And it would NOT be a happy ending. Although, I do have MLP iPod wallpapers and I occasionally use an MLP PC wallpaper. Edited June 23, 2013 by BrainyBrony
Flying wub 48 June 23, 2013 Share June 23, 2013 That i´m a brony does only bronies know i wanna keep it as a secret, i would be bully´d by some of my classmates if they would find out what i´m doing at my free time when they call me and asks if i wanna be with them, they just got brony troll´d Thanks to @kaz for making me this sig!! SoarinBlue 202 June 23, 2013 Share June 23, 2013 I don't tell a soul. Keep all my pony merch hidden, minimize my browser window when people come by so they don't see this or MLPchan or /mlp/. RainRunner 3 June 23, 2013 Share June 23, 2013 There is nopony in my life who is unaware of me being a brony. If people don't accept it i just don't allow myself to socailize with them.

Chigens and Kay 3,833 July 14, 2013 Share July 14, 2013 This thread appears to be related to the My Little Pony franchise and/or the Bronydom in general. Thus, it has been sentenced to Sugarcube Corner. This is an automatically generated message, by the way. My signature broke

Ihei 714 July 14, 2013 Share July 14, 2013 I'm very open about being a pegasister. My whole social circle and my family know I'm a pegasister. :3 It's pretty easy to admit being a pegasister, actually. :
Henesy 1 July 14, 2013 Share July 14, 2013 I'm pretty open about it. I don't go flaunting it all over, but I won't let it stop me from putting pony figurines on my desk, and wearing the occasional themed shirt. I have a couple friends who also watch MLP and we talk regularly and aren't afraid to hide our conversation. We answer questions for anyone who asks, but otherwise don't push it outwards. Having a social life is hard enough as is without everyone thinking you're weird or creepy I agree, I don't have many people liking me, so if anyone found out, it would be a disaster and I would be a laughing stock. I won't even tell my parents. I guess I might be a bit too private about it, but I don't know. Edited July 15, 2013 by Midnight Shimmer Enter the Forest... Nerdy Luigi 2,065 July 15, 2013 Share July 15, 2013 Somewhat open. I used to be very closeted because I thought antibronies outnumbered bronies. I was wrong I did find out, a week ago or so.
Tulponi Twist 5 July 15, 2013 Share July 15, 2013 Eh, my personal opinion regarding these types of things is this: People are judgmental. Period. We feel the need to put some people above others in order to seek order. If your friends put you down for finding out about you being a brony then they obviously aren't who you thought they were and you need to consider new friends. In the real world no one's going to be persecuted for TV preferences. Get a few good friends and anything that anyone else thinks is just background noise in YOUR symphony!

Dark Horn 430 July 15, 2013 Share July 15, 2013 I am very open about it. If I can, I reference FiM in random conversations, idle talk, and other silly banter like that. Ah well. Not everypony can be 20% cooler than the norm. 1 "The most horrible kind of ignorance is to have an opinion on an experience that you have never experienced.""Get off your high horse and give her a hug." long gone 8,929 July 15, 2013 Share July 15, 2013 My backgrounds have been almost entirely ponies since I joined the fandom last year, I have three shirts and I have a Twilight Sparkle vinyl on the back of my laptop. I think I'm pretty open about it.
RobberBrony 12 July 15, 2013 Share July 15, 2013 I sort of hid it in the beginning, but now practically everyone in my family knows about it. They buy me merchandise, I show them the ponysonas I do of them, my mom is even considering making MLP plushies of my characters Suffice it to say, it wasn't something I really needed to hide in the first place, the only people whose opinion I care about are fine with it. Then again, I am a girl, if I was a boy I like to think they would be okay with it too, but I know my Dad's reaction would be different.
fillyosophy 0 July 15, 2013 Share July 15, 2013 I am very secretive about it. I used to be "Told my mom, friends" Status but I lost interest. Now that I like it again, it's square one! No one can or should know I watch MLP. The hints I drop to my sister are incredibly vague.
Ms Mercer 24 July 15, 2013 Share July 15, 2013 I'm totally open with it. I carry a Rainbow Dash backpack, have Cadence and Shining Armor bumper stickers, and I have a Princess Luna shirt. I wouldn't be self conscious anyways, but it helps that my friends are the ones that introduced me to the show.
Rockabilly Wingtips 57 July 15, 2013 Share July 15, 2013 At first i was as closed as a locker. but soon i relized that i dont need to hide from the things i like. so i found the combonation and opened that locker to the world. and inside the locker was a full fledge pony lovin' brony. not a day goes by where i'm not thinking about ponies. i listen to my brony music in public and talk and recomend it to new people i meet ( without pressuring them). i wear t shirt that i get from hot topic and wrist bands and lanyards. i also put buttons on my leather or denium jackets before i leave

Psychotic Muffin 86 July 15, 2013 Share July 15, 2013 I'm rather ashamed to say that I'm rather closed-minded about sharing my interest for the show. the only person that knows I'm a brony IRL is my brother (Thankfully he's cool about that). And frankly I wish I could have the courage to be open about my love for the show, but I fear that I'll be horribly rejected by my peers since alot of people I know are rather hateful towards bronies.
