Episodes you love but everyone else seems to hate.

It's hard to say, really.  The tendency is to think "Well, I liked it, how can it be unpopular?"  Still, based on other posts, here goes

Feeling Pinkie Keen  The scenes w Twilight getting zapped by everything from falling into a cellar to the crap Derpy dropped on her were great.  I think the problem might be it is stylistically different from most episodes, more like an old time Loony Toons cartoon.  Also, some people seem to think the message to Princess C was religious.  I don't & it happens to be what I believe, so it doesn't bother me.

Daring Don't  It's not my favorite, but I think it's a great parody of the Indiana Jones movies.  What's not to like?

Crystal Empire  The big kvetches seem to be that Princess C risked the Crystal Ponies by sending Twilight & not Luna + part 2 was mostly Twilight.  Well, yeah, but it rose above those flaws.  The only real problem I've got is at the end where T just grabs the heart without checking for traps.  Obviously never played AD&D.  You never touch the treasure without checking for traps!

Regarding the titular question: I'm under the impression that not many people like 'Simple Ways', however, I adore that episode. I also like 'Putting Your Hoof Down' and I'm quite sure that one has also been poorly received.

Bridle Gossip is usually bashed upon for being "racist" when there's nothing racist about it at all. In fact, it introduced Zecora in the first place, whom I find to be a really cool character.

 

This guy explains it very well, and even calls it a good episode.

The more I read the posts here, the more convinced I am. If I like an episode, everyone else hates it, so

Bridle Gossip   Yeah, you could argue the ponies are racist.  What, that NEVER happens IRL?  The message is that it is wrong to judge people that way. + 1st appearance of Zecora & I think she's cool.  So is Flutterguy.

Putting Your Hoof Down  I think Iron Will is a good send up of all those assertiveness training infomercials, it gives insight into F's character + message is there is a line between sticking up for yourself & being a jerk

Baby Cakes.  Pinkie's behavior is hilarious & it shows P has a more responsible side.  Maybe I like it because I used to get stuck baby sitting my younger siblings &  could sympathize.

I have to say, I'm very confused by people who dislike either The Show Stoppers, Hearts and Hooves Day, or Simple Ways.  Those three have some of the best comedy in the entire series.
