AlbaTross 1,586 January 18, 2016 Share January 18, 2016 I had an interesting moment at my job a couple weeks ago. Thankfully it was all in my head, but I made note of it because I think FiM is starting to influence me. I was tasked with stocking the beverage fridge, and I went to the warehouse and stocked up on all the different beverages I needed, or so I thought. About 3/4 of the way through stocking the fridge I realized I forgot the bottled water and would have to make another trip back to get them. I thought to myself "of all the things that could happen, this is THE WORST POSSIBLE THING!" I may have even put the back of my left hand to my forehead. At first I thought "where did that come from?" Then I remembered that I had just read the first couple chapters of Rarity and the Curious Case of Charity the night before. I might have just hit a new milestone in my Brony transformation. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, but it certainly happened. I'm glad it was a private moment.
Steve Piranha 29,427 January 19, 2016 Share January 19, 2016 My parents are usually cool with me liking colorful horses, but they draw a line with toys (well, any kind of toy, be it Transformers, Batman, Mario, etc). I think I've mentioned the blast I had in Maneha... I mean, Manhattan last September. I bought a set of Minty and Moon Dancer Playskool toys to take pics for the upcoming Ponies Around the World in Equestriadaily. I took some, but at one moment, I forgot to move those pics to an alternate folder. My mom burrowed my phone, and saw one of those pics, but didn't said anything at first. She confronted me a day or two later, but I told her that I found it thrown away 2 Sig by Discords
alpinefroggy 451 January 19, 2016 Share January 19, 2016 I went to a very odd christmas party put on by one of my coworkers at his house. It involved crafts called shrinky-dinks. These weird things where you draw a picture and then heat the thing in a toaster and it shrinks and hardens up. Now this party involves people of all ages and I as a brony naturally was going to bring some print outs of twilight and rainbow to draw. Little did I know I was walking into a party in which the daughter of my coworker and her friends also enjoyed My Little Pony. They even had a coloring book. I am perfectly ok at this point with situations like this. It gotten a little worse as my coworker and his wife found out I am a pony fan. It was absolutely fanatstic and I had lots of fun making pony stuff.
ShutterBat 134 January 19, 2016 Share January 19, 2016 Well.. Lol. I have said Canterlot when I was supposed to say Camelot in class.. Also, I say everypony and anypony without meaning to. I know recently my boyfriend said he was at work when he heard a girl call herself a princess. All he heard was princess and his mind automatically went to MLP. The girl continued and said she was a unicorn princess. He ended up admitting his thought process lol cx Turns out she was in a psychology class that had a WHOLE unit on bronies! Cool right??
Crypty Scribbles 5,033 January 19, 2016 Share January 19, 2016 (edited) Ahaha! I love this thread, ponies. It's so funny. XD Well, my story: When I became a brony I wished to have something what would remind me about Friendship Is Magic all the day! But I didn't want to annoy my colleagues. So I just did desktop background on my working place with neutral stylized line "20% COOLER". Soooo... Several days later my boss, old serious guy, who was big fan of different meme stuff as well, came to my work place and started troll me in public. Thanks goodness, he did it subtle enough, so only I understood that he knows. He looked very pleased. Edited January 19, 2016 by Crypty
SticksLikeGlue 91 January 19, 2016 Share January 19, 2016 (edited) I haven't had any awkward moments as a brony myself, but I've seen some pretty cringe worthy stuff on YouTube. Mentis Soliloquy 3,025 January 19, 2016 Share January 19, 2016 Ha I got a good one I was in target, with one of my MLP shirts on, it was my Daring Do one, and was in the toy section looking at the lego sets, (I rather like lego) and this little girl was carrying a MLP backpack she must of been buying it for school, she saw my shirt and and walked up to me and asked why I was wearing it, she must of been 8 or 10 I crouched down to her. To her mother's surprise and said "because my little pegasister I like my little pony too." she then dragged me around the store by the hand for 10 minutes talking my head off about the show and characters much to her mother's displeasure, we had a blast she was rather insightful for her age, but the looks her mom was giving me, well was rather embarrassing but good time. 6 PonyvilleLive! Merion 783 January 19, 2016 Share January 19, 2016 In my room, there's one shelf dedicated to my MLP figurines collection. A non-brony friend of mine once asked me where all the toys had come from. I was too embarrassed to admit I spent money on pony toys, so I muttered something like "Oh, these? I dunno, people just assume I like ponies and I keep getting them as gifts..." A couple of months later the same friend came to visit me again. She glanced at my collection and went: "Don't tell me you still get these as gifts"... To which I replied: "Gifts? Is that the bullshit I gave you last time?" The triumphant smirk on her face was priceless. 5 click here! ♥
Melon Blitz 423 January 19, 2016 Share January 19, 2016 I went to visit my older sister a few months ago in Georgia. We were waiting for some of her friends to show up to this gaming bar and decided to check out a comic book store. We walk in and I just start looking at the cover art for random comics. My sister knows I like MLP and she decides to shout from across the store at the clerk "Hey my brother really likes My Little Pony, do you have any My Little Pony stuff?" There was a group of guys playing Magic in the corner of the store and they all just stopped and stared at me along with the store clerk. I felt like she painted a target on my back. I immediately stopped what I was doing, turned, and walked out the front door. In my head the only thing I could think was "nope, nope, nope." I usually don't have a problem with people knowing I like MLP, I think I was just more embarrassed that my sister was making a big deal about it in public. I think she was just trying to be funny, but she can be really awkward at times. 2 http://nogonip.tumblr.com
Riganthor 484 January 19, 2016 Share January 19, 2016 well the only akward moment I had was Iwas watching some fanmade content for mlp and suddenly my brother came storming into my room becuase he had it cold and thought my window was open (which is open almost always). It wasn't open and I don't know if he saw what I was watching but I just freaked out went to another tab which I had prepared if anyone would enter my room. He hasn't mentioned it or talked about it yet so I don't know if he knows.
Sporemane 546 January 19, 2016 Share January 19, 2016 My story is not super awkward, but it is amusing. I was talking to my dog. I usually call her a puppy because she's a small dog. But, instead of calling her a puppy, I called her a pony. When I caught myself, I was like "why did I just say that".
azbat 305 January 20, 2016 Share January 20, 2016 I was in a Claire's (a jewelry/accessories store) looking at MLP charms and bracelets when a little girl walked up to me and asked, "Does your daughter like My Little Pony." I said that I don't have a daughter but I like My Little Pony. She gave me the most confused look. I must have been the first brony she ever met and she couldn't figure it out. I had no idea how to explain to her that male adults like the show too. Finally her mother came over said to her that man likes MLP. That was enough put the girl's mind at ease.

Midnight Chimes 69 January 23, 2016 Share January 23, 2016 I had one just this week in Poetry class. We were supposed to bring poems to read out loud and I had sort of forgotten, but I had one I'd written that was heavily MLP influenced, although it didn't explicitly mention ponies. I wasn't sure whether to read it out or not, but eventually I thought what the hell, I'll stand up and read it anyway, though I'll probably regret it later. I thought I'd gotten away with it at first, but then I was talking with a couple of friends from the class later and one of them said "was that poem about My Little Pony?" "Oh no, was it that obvious?" I replied "Yes" my other friend replied. Actually one of them started talking about the Crystal Empire afterwards so it was cool. 1 My YouTube analysis/music channel My fanfiction
Trixie Heartstrings 434 January 24, 2016 Share January 24, 2016 Surprisingly, people have not really said anything whenever I wear a pony shirt in public. But I do get nervous whenever I think I see someone that knows me at school if it's when I'm wearing a pony shirt. Yet there was that time when my sister jokingly asked if I wanted a My Little Pony toy. I didn't say anything, cause she didn't know, yet I thought she did. The next year, my brother-in-law probably discovered that I'm a brony because he went into my room, and I have a poster along with other pony merch in there. I was worried how he'd react, but he didn't say anything. Later on, he texted me asking if I ever played the card game.
@lpha 41 January 24, 2016 Share January 24, 2016 (edited) The only moment that comes close to being awkward that I haven't dodged like a boss was when a girl in class asked me if I was a brony (while I was still a confused anti) I said I haven't even heard of it I'm pretty sure I couldn't hide my blushing. It was bad that I denied knowing about it, that made the bluff more obvious. Nevertheless she accepted the excuse and now there's one person out there who knows me and suspects me of being a brony The incidence that I dodged like a boss was a few occasions in which I blurted out a pony's name I found interesting (Chrysalis the changeling queen) Luckily chrysalis is a real word so no one knew :3 Edited January 24, 2016 by @lpha 1 One Derp to Herp Them all And Seven Memes to Bind it
Meson Bolt 2,648 January 24, 2016 Share January 24, 2016 (edited) My youth pastor's daughter is like 2 years old, and she watches MLP a lot. One day when I was tasked with watching over her, we were eating pizza and she was using her MLP water bottle. She decided to try and name all the ponies (I guess 2-year-olds just like pointing out whatever's right in front of them) and so, to be helpful, I tried and help her pronounce their names. She seemed to be having trouble with pronouncing Pinkie and Rainbow Dash. Well, then one of my guy friends came up and asked me how I knew their names. I told him that I didn't actually know their names, and were just making up names based on their appearances. He looked at 'em and was like "Cool how you can think of stuff on-the-spot" and left. I've accidentally said "brohoof" instead of "brofist", "Pipbuck" instead of "Pipboy", and "Canterlock" instead of "Caps-lock". I also occasionally use "Oh my Luna", "The fun has been doubled", "Forgive me if I withhold my enthusiasm", and "Eeyup". Whenever I see a derp face, I point at it and squeal "Deeeerrrppyyy!" Nobody seems to care. XD Edited January 24, 2016 by Meson Bolt 3 Your family is who you make it out to be.

gamecubeguy214 2,512 January 26, 2016 Share January 26, 2016 (edited) I haven't experienced this yet, but I fear that one day I'll say something and then my brother compares it to my love of MLP and then other people hear it. The best thing I can do about that is say ''That isn't true, it's just some silly rumor that he made up''. "The fun has been doubled", "Forgive me if I withhold my enthusiasm", and "Eeyup". Whenever I see a derp face, I point at it and squeal "Deeeerrrppyyy!" Nobody seems to care. XD I would actually use those frequently. These are obvious references that only bronies would be able to get, and you may find brony friends. EverEverOn 346 February 10, 2016 Share February 10, 2016 The other day I was looking for The Art of Equestria at Barnes and Noble, and after being unable to find it, I had to ask an employee for help. She searched it in to the computer, and asked, "Is it My Little Pony?" She looked somewhat concerned that I was looking for this book, but led me over to it, anyway.

NullAccount 287 February 13, 2016 Share February 13, 2016 Here is another one from earlier. Me and my father were sitting and watching T.V. at around 3 p.m., which is when MLP is on. My father was surfing channels and My Little Pony was playing. Luckily it was showing the fight between Celestia and Nightmare Moon, instead of something like a tea party, or Rarity dressing Rainbow Dash up. This then led to him asking me about it, and describing it as a fetish. Ugh, that got old very quick. https://mlpforums.com/uploads/signature_images/sig-32755.my_mlp_forums_signature_by_flutterfly761-d98iz9d.png[/img]
