mega thread What book are you reading?

Diary of Anne Frank. I feel like I'm the only person my age who really likes it for some reason. Almost everybody around me will get bored to tears if a story they're listening to/reading isn't about "U.S Marine war stories" or "the life story of Tupac" or "how Paulie D became uber buff brah" Then again, their are a few book nerds spread out around my school. Meh.

As of right now, I'm reading the Cirque Du Freak saga by Darren Shan. I read it once a few years ago and have decided to re-read it, and I would definitely recommend it to anybody with a taste for a good horror book. I'm on the tenth book right now, and there're twelve in all. After I finish, I think I might read the saga of Larten Crepsley, which is a prequel to Cirque du Freak and is by the same author.

Since September, I'm reading the Warriors series by Erin Hunter.  I continued Moonrise in September and I just finished Fading Echoes today.  Quite a good series in my opinion.

I love both series.  I recently read the final book in the Larten Crepsley series.

Very good series.  I've met the author too.

I finished the first Dragonlance today and promptly started the second.

Not really a book, but im reading a fellow bronies novel called On the Tales of Solar Winds (its by Kolth). Its unfinished and I'm only halfway through but it is really intriguing, ya'll should read it!

OH and Harmonic Revelations, A Brief History of Time is one of the most amazing books I have ever read. Hawking's best book imo

...   Now I feel all awesome and fuzzy inside.

I'm reading...aw, geez. Heart of Darkness, Things Fall Apart, about three "Best of" science-fiction short story compilations, two Lovecraft compilations, Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, and am rereading Ender's Game and Anthem.

That pales in comparison to what my sister reads.

Right now I am reading the Brotherband Chronicles (specifically The Invaders) by John Flanagan, who also wrote the Ranger's Apprentice saga. I've already read this book, but I need a book to read at school while I read the fan-fiction Fallout: Equestria (Which is a quite a good story, and quite long).

Psh. Signatures are for noobs, and people who are too lazy to get one.

While I don't think I would enjoy it that much, my flute buddy did a book report on it and really enjoyed it.  I also wouldn't enjoy any of the types you mentioned.   :)   I really enjoy my fantasy, sci-fi, and horror books.

That's quite a lot  , is your sister a cyborg?

Can you tell me, if the books following Bean after the events in "Ender's Game"are any good?

The daemons's curse (Malus Darkblade chronicles) by Dan Abnett and Mike Lee.

Ah, I remember enjoying these, everyone was such a backstabbing bastard. Did he ever got rid of the daemon though? (I stopped after the book where they are hunting the Norse pirates).

Personally I have recently worked my way through Dune (it was very dry) and, while visiting my folks, took the chance to reread the Sandman-comics :)

Still waiting for my copy of Glen Cook's Black Company to arrive, so I can get my gritty fantasy fix (because George R.R. Martin is lazy and hates me).

You have three books to go then. Like I will spoil it for you. Go buy them. Now. There's lot of twists in the story you have to see, the first two are just a warm up. It's an order. And you wouldn't want to be branded a traitor to the will of the Witch King now, would you?

I still argue that she is. She read the entire Harry Potter series in, like, sixteen hours or something. She practically has those books memorized.

The Shadow Saga is fantastic. While Ender's story focuses more on the Formics and colonization and stuff, Bean's story is all about the Earth and some unlikely allies and WOW it was great. Highly recommend it.

The guy who still lives with his mum after 3000 years? I'm trembling with fear.

Also can you just tell me, if Spite makes it out alright?

Can you guarantee that there won't be any sentient Teacup pigs or space magic?

Well, when you put it like THAT.

Also can you just tell me, if Spite makes it out alright?

And yeah, the cute and fluffy Spite is one of those few that make it out alive, mostly intact. He's also getting more "screentime" after the second book, where he is virtually nonexistent.

I finished His Majesty's Dragon of the Temeraire series yesterday, and I want to find where I can get Throne of Jade.

This book series has so far gotten me to love dragons.

No sentient Teacup pigs and no space magic. Just lots of politics, war, and the hate-to-love-him antagonist. I can't remember if I would be spoiling anything by saying their name, so I just won't say it.

Off to ebay then (I'm boycotting Mr. Card). I'm also calling Peter and/or Achilles.

And since I need to fill the minimum I'll confess that I'm afraid to get psyched for the movie, because I'm 90% sure they'll screw it up.

CRAP I really wanna spoil it now. Thanks, friend.  <_<

I'm psyched either way. It'll finally put a great novel in moving pictures; it totally deserves to be made into a movie no matter how bad it is. And anyways, don't they have Harrison Ford as Graff? He makes any movie a thousand times better.

EDIT: I'm a Squirrel now. Yus.

Well i'm working on my favorite book series in the world, Deltora Quest.  This is my sixth time reading the series.  It keeps going in a tri-part series.  There are 8 Deltora Quest, 4 Deltora Dragons, and 4 Deltora Shadowlands.

I just finished reading Insurgent, book two in the Divergent series. I'm really looking forward to the three one that won't come out until much later this year (I'm only assuming that since there had been no official date yet).

Still reading the Silmarillion, made it to the part with Turin. (On page 253)

The past 4 chapters or so have been pretty depressing, but also epic.

I'm going to read The Hobbit next.

I'm also reading a book for my French class called "Le livre des chevaliers" which translates to "The book of knights".

It's been pretty interesting so far.

I'm reading "A Knife of Dreams" by Robert Jordan.  It's the eleventh in a series of fourteen.  The last one just came out, so I need to start reading fast before everyone around me spoils it.

I just finished Fear by Michael Grant, part five in the Gone series. I finished all five-hundred pages in less than a week (though it was winter break). The ending was quite the cliffhanger and I can't wait for the next one to come out.

Also, I added a quote from it to my signature. :P
