His placeholder name on MLP Wikia is Snowflake.  Placeholder names are used for characters who haven't been addressed by name in dialogue or haven't been an official product release.  Placeholder names usually become canon but not always.  I was very disappointed to see that Bon Bon now goes by the official name Sweetie Drops.  It seems there was a copyright issue with the Bon Bon name.

I tend to think of him as bumblebee.  I mean he simply has just way way too small wings and way way too large a body frame for those wings to fly him in any manner that is reasonable.  Even pegasus magic only goes so far.

I call him Snowflake, because of the irony initially, but only because I thought "Hasbro wouldn't call a pony Roid Rage". After seeing him in Wonderbolts Academy however, I do believe Snowflake is a much more fitting name for him.

I've always called him Roid Rage, it wasn't until this last episode and seeing everyone comment that they loved Snowflake so much and no one said anything about Roid Rage is when I found out they are one in the same.

 

I call him Snowflake now, it makes more sense and sounds a lot more.... Pony than Roid rage.

 

Although, I saw some really cool names for him here I never even heard. "Horse Power"?

I always call him by the two first names I heard for him, the first being Roid Rage, and the second being Horse Power.  I added this buff pony to my desktop ponies collection under the name of Roid Rage, so that's what I call him the most.

His canon name is actually Roid Rage. Many different people told me this, and so many people saying the same thing is not a coincidence. I think the first fan name for him is Snowflake.

/mlp/ named him snowflake on the day of release, and i seriously doubt that hasbro would support making the name "roid rage" cannon (not that he has even been given a cannon name yet)
