Granted, but now the existence of whatever they were going to give you for Christmas is gone. For example, if they were to give a certain video game, that video game no longer exists; even you forget that it once existed.

Granted, but that means that the plants would get no sunlight, causing a chain reaction where the plants die, then the herbivores die, then the carnivores die, and everything dies.
