Will Doctor Whooves be getting a speaking part?

I have heard rumors that David Tennant was going to be having a speaking role in a future episode of MLP:FiM as Doctor Whooves.  Is this true, or is it just a rumor?  I know I would literally lose all semblance of self control if I found out it were true.

 

And on a similar topic, which famous actor/actress would you like to see make a guest appearance on the show?

There is no reason to believe this is true and no evidence to suggest it. "Dr. Hooves" is a fan given name to this character, not a canon one; plus he has already had a speaking part in "Sonic Rainboom" I think this one is just a myth.

Chuck Norris or Clint Eastwood would be highly amusing as well.  I have a feeling though that none of the above would ever agree to be a part of it...

Well Doctor whooves has technically gotten speaking roles multiple times before on the show(Atleast like 2-3)

Will they specifically acknowledge him as Doctor Whooves? I don't think so. Honestly after Derpy who knows if they'll be doing any more background ponies like her. I know it doesn't have any conflicts on the issue, but idk maybe Hasbro just gave up after derpy.

 

Anyways, I highly doubt him getting any specific speaking role that is acknowledged and responded to by the mane 6 using him name(Like Derpy) or anyone really speaking his name. I think Derpy was a special type thing that most likely won't happen again(Especially after how it didn't go over well.)

 

I dunno how much significance it would serve if he did anything other then take away screentime, or he would have to be the center of an episode, and we're already struggling with the characters for episodes right now .

 

Theres always a small chance, and i've been wrong before, I just.. Highly doubt it.

It's probably just a wild rumor. As Background ponies don't generally receive speaking parts. 

 

I'd like to see Keith David guest appear, I just love his voice work so much. I doubt he would do it though, and even if he did there isn't a wide variety of roles that his voice would fit.

There might be a speaking part for Doctor Whooves. But I highly doubt it due, to the fact of background ponies.

honestly i never thought derpy would get a speaking part. so with how well that turned out i doubt they will be doing anymore background ponies. unless they decide to do another shout out to the fans and just have some pony call him doctor hooves or something like that. any more then that i cant see happening.

This is the first time I've heard of such a rumor but to be honest, what would be the point? Yeah, John de Lancie voiced Discord but that's a whole different thing. His character wasn't really what would be considered a background character.

 

Still, that's not to say I wouldn't like to see some more guest voices in the show.
