Oh come now, whatever is the matter with the very popular ship of Twilight Sparkle and Trixie?

 

Could be the fact that in Boost Busters Twilight Sparkle hardly interacted at all with Trixie when compared to the other characters?

 

Or perhaps the fact that Trixie is too much of an egocentric to admit or recognize an attraction with the mare she sees as her rival?

 

Now fans have a bit more to work with when it comes to the Magic Duel episode, but that doesn't change the fact that the shipping between the two had been going on long before that episode.

Simply because one could agree that Twilight is Trixie's bigger nemesis, it'd be odd to think they could make up with eachother. But now you mentioned shipping, i feel Trixie could really fit with Sombra. This image easily explains why.
