How do you cheer yourself up when you're feeling blue?

So sometimes we all tend to have bad days and just feel bad in general whether it's something that did, something someone did to you, or something that happened in general that made us feel this way. We all have our different coping mechanisms but I'd like to know how you try to cheer yourself up when you feel this way.

Personally, I always find myself ending up back at this video from my favorite cartoon (OMG it's not MLP) Steven Universe in which Steven put's in his fathers CD of his old song "Let me drive my van into your heart" which most of you may know from that one fluffle puff animation. I honestly can't feel bad listening to it. For some reason it makes me feel at home when I don't even have a place that I call home besides maybe the forums. It's a nice feeling.

Oh and here's the fluffle puff version if you haven't seen it yet.

If I'm feeling blue, I usually talk to a very good friend about something cheery, or tell them a joke and just their laughter can cheer me up. If a friend isn't available, I like to get on my tablet and watch Netflix or a funny YouTube video.

I'd eat something cheesy and sweet, or maybe lock myself in my room and play a really loud song while I whimper in the corner. Both works at a varying degrees in many circumstances

Or sometimes, I'd just dress up really nice and go for a ride around my hometown

Either listen to Five Nights at Freddy's music or watch someone play the games (no commentary). Something about the characters in the game just calm me down and make me feel safe, especially The Marionette/Puppet.

I tend to want to be alone if I am feeling down just being alone and not having to deal with people makes it so much nicer, then in that time period play some sad music, or happy music (Depends the level of sad) and probably skip eating since a stomach ache while sad can just ruin me.

Normally I watch some Vinesauce and play video games (Smash Bros. especially) or listen to some upbeat/epic music without lyrics, while exercising.

I listen to Duckie singing his song. It's called "I'll always be wiz u". I also have a video of him with his bandmates (and a previous one that left not long ago) that ALWAYS cheers me up. Okay so, they are all trying to speak english. It's super cute because Duckie especially, is just like... omg fricken adorable. He makes me giggle so much. Just thinking of him in the video just now brought a smile to my face too. <3

However, I'm not sure how that would cheer you up. This is only something that does me. Maybe you could watch some funny videos? In fact, I bet you can't resist watching a laughing baby. XD

I don't do cheerful things when i'm down. Cause those things just lose meaning and I don't want to tarnish the things I love doing by being depressed when I do them. Sometimes I just go to sleep. Other times I just think long and hard about stuff over and over, just let my thoughts go wherever.

But usually I just listen to music. I listen to something that motivates me, gets me pumped up, gets me aggressive, gets me ready for a fight. That's how i snap out of it.

Usually though stuff like this.

I usually feel better after that.

Honestly, the Smile Song does wonders for me.  But there's other music which calms me down a great deal, as well.  The most effective thing for me to do is to spend some time by myself, away from other people.  Deep breaths and walks can do wonders, too.

I usually just end up having a bad day, unfortunately.

Love and Team Fortress 2 both do wonders for me, though. When I have my phone, I usually listen to 23railwaycutting's parodies, MLP songs, and Weird Al stuff. Of course, this happens little these days.  I'm loving this spring break now. (But does that relate to the topic? Hmmm.... Nah).

I get depressed and sad really easily. Here's what I do to cheer up

-I watch a comedy

-I watch FIM or LPS episodes

-I watch a Yankees game

-I buy myself a special treat

-I buy stuff online

- I think about happy things(Sun shining, going to Bronycon, etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.)

-I spend time with my dog

-I eat candy or fried food

I also tend to use this when I get REALLY depressed. This song is the reason I joined this fandom in the first place. (One of them at least)

This song is from RDP: Bittersweet
