I don't think that clip tells the whole story, but Rainbow was sorta asking for it. Twilight takes learning as seriously as Rainbow Dash does flying, but that doesn't mean that they can't be good at the others skill.

It was the wrong choice of words on Twilight's part to claim she's good enough to be in the Wonderbolts at that moment. Wonderbolt are elite fliers compared to Twilight with the skill flight level of a child.

True but Twilight's statement that there is more to being a Wonderbolt than flying is true. Twilight is one of the most powerful magic users ever and yet she found that magic isn't everything in Winter Wrap Up. Flying fast isn't everything either.

Scoots already had an episode this season.  They have over a dozen characters to think about, remember?

 

:3 Doesn't matter. They love to throw CMC episodes around like the plague. Besides, we don't need an entire episode. All we need is a freaking ten second scene of them doing something sister-ly. But apparently that's too much to ask for, too =P They had plenty of screen time in Flight to the Finish, but Dash's behavior towards Scoots was no different than how she would have acted prior to developing a bond with her, which makes zero sense to me but, yay for diverse writers who don't always have the state of mind to collaborate on past works in order to establish continuity, I guess.

Twilight is trying to make a point about the knowledge portion by making it about as equal, as the physical portion which the Wonderbolts has shown to be the main thing. She botches her point by trying to claim that she's good enough physically along with the knowledge for elite level.

 

It doesn't work because Rainbow Dash knows the physical qualification to be in the Wonderbolts and is  Twilight's coach.

Looks like best pony is rapping. It's pretty funny. Also she mentions the Wonderbolts being started by commander Firefly. Could that be a throwback to G1?

Also, Pinkie rapping..... that's the most 'what the heck' scene I've witnessed since I first saw the hayburgers in 'Twilight Time'.

 

Speaking of the rap scene, am I the only one who thinks some parts of that scene actually look like Pinkie's been rotoscoped? can that even be done with Flash animation?

 

Another thing I want to say is that, for a world that has yet to confirm whether it has television or not, apparently Equestrian filming technology is at least advanced enough that they can do green-screen (or Chroma Key) effects, interesting sort of technological progress you got going here, Ponies.

 

You might argue that it's just another example of Pinkie Pie just being Pinkie Pie, but out of all the random and cartoony things she's done, this somehow strikes me as the one that's the closest to being grounded to reality she's pulled off, like something any of the ponies could theoretically pull off.

 

It might be just me talking BS, but it's something I find interesting enough to put to my head-canon.

Oh boy. Typical MLP-FIM. Get the princesses out of the way so that the main character can be awesome.

I don't like the concept, but I really need to see how they execute it. I just hope that the Twilight's Sidekicks aren't hit too hard with the idiot stick this time and actually do something to remind me that these ponies matter.

The point that Discord was brought back could hint some connection between him and this new villain.

Giving Twilight all that magical power sounds something like a DBZ thing where's it might only be good for a short time.

 

If Twilight is taking over, is there some chance that a character may leave the show permanently or temporarly.

I'm not really sure what to make of this finale. On the one hand passing up Twilight (presumingly) for Discord is an interesting choice, but it seems to be nullified if we get super Twilight as a result. Twilight is always best pony so the more she's doing the better, but the writers really need to explain themselves. Lots of chances to blow this episode. Still, seeing Twilight's faith in Celestia tested by picking Discord might be worth anything. The person she reveries and the person she can't stand.

To be honest, I dislike this idea, especially if it once again turns out to be ALL about Twilight and the rest of Main 6 will only appear somewhere near the end to watch her glory.

Not necessarily, at least not for the show's current main cast. Let's not just assume that it will run for that long, we have little to no concrete evidence of that yet.

Twilight has had relatively no screentime this season, so I think it would be alright. I don't see that happening, though.
