While I am a fan of point and click games (and I have not played LotL) my understanding is that it was a bit awkward to play with pixel hunting and a lot of it did not make sense with odd combinations of items.

This game riiiight here.. A lot of people, including me was looking forward to this game.

Ever since they started developing this game, they've been intensely hyping us up for it.

And now that the game is released, after 6 years of development on this Alien game, there's only one thing to say..

 

Aliens Colonial Marines, is a MASSIVE disappointment.

 

Here's probably the best review for it. This guy's also a huge fan of the license.

Dear Esther.

 

There is actually a debate about whether it is a movie or a game. I could care less ether way, I thought it was quite beautiful experience to play Dear Esther. It was definitely an emotional roller coaster for me. I guess looking at it from a traditional game aspect with mechanics and all it would be really bad. I guess it really depends what people were looking to get out of it. I found what I was looking for.

Assassins Creed, ,  and those games were all really good, then again, I guess it really depends what your looking to get out of the game.

Witcher 2, biggest waste of money ever, hated that game so much. Gameplay was aweful, no clue how it got 9/10

Piss poor controls, abysmal 3D gameplay, awful targeting system, cheap bosses, awful rescue system, boring and awful level design,voice acting that makes X4 and Megaman 8 sound like MGS4, generic and boring soundtrack, nearly destroyed X as a character(thank god for Command Mission), lame new character with Axl(Thankfully X8 made him better) I could go on. What upsets me more is that Capcom showed that they could make great 3D Megaman with the Legends series. Maybe I was kinda hoping that this was going to be Megaman Legends with X characters, but even then there was no excuse for this game to be as awful as it was.....

Anyway, the worst game ever made is indubitably "SQIJ!". You haven't seen the worst game ever until you've tried Sqij, which I can almost guarantee you haven't. You begin the game playing as this white bird on the screen... which doesn't move at all. The only way to move it because of the total lack of care in testing the game, is to hack. Then you can get it to move left and right; have it take the left exit, nothing happens, and have it take the right exit the game crashes. The worst part is that it actually went to sale.

To me, it was Backyard Baseball '08 for the Wii. It was an impulse buy I made as a more immature version of myself. I spent like $50 of my allowance on it which sucked even more. I expected it to be as good as my previous baseball game, MLB Power Pros (Wii), but failed to deliver. It probably wasn't even THAT bad, its just my sheer disappointment that created that image in my head.

I believe there are a lot of ponies and people who are too harsh on a lot of video games these days. There are games that are not AAA quality but that doesn't make them horrible. Even those that have their problems can be very entertaining. Games like NeverDead, WET, Splatterhouse (remake), Venetica, Duke Nukem Forever are not the best games in the world but they are actually a lot of fun - at least to this Agent of Chaos they are.

 

I consider games "bad" when they are broken and unplayable. Aliens Colonel Marines is one of those games that come to mind. I heard that Expendables 2 has all kinds of broken camera and aiming problems as well as one of the Terminator games.

Not only that, the girl is Native American, a race that has been treated horribly in our country for centuries. And this wasn't some flash game made by a lunatic on the internet, no, this was sold at retail.

Oh there are a few games out there that are just as bad. In the game Rule of Rose there are a LOT of references to little girls being violated by their teachers and there is a huge undertone of underage lesbian actions which is why the game was banned in a few countries.

 

 

While none of this is shown, it is VERY HEAVILY implied. I think this is worse than Custer in the sense that while it did show "rape", it was literally stick figures.

 

(By the way, if anypony gets a chance to play Rule of Rose for the Ps2, I HIGHLY recommend it. The storyline is nuckin futs!)

I'm gonna have to say, as far as games I've played proper copies of, Dragon Ball Z Legacy of Goku.  It's 2 predecessors are actually alright games, certainly not amazing, but fun.  The first on the other hand just baffles me that it's actually an official product.  Every design choice in that game just reeks of a Chinese flea market knockoff.

Nonsensical implementation of flight (press R to switch modes, keep your 'flight limit' up by collecting feathers--WHAT?), lack of diagonal movement (something I would think is an objectively and criminally stupid oversight in this genre), and some of the graphics...the most gaudy, unprofessional, awful things you could possibly see in a video game.  The character portraits alone are a world of issues; they're either cropped from badly rendered screenshots of the show or are just outright bad drawings of the characters.

 

And all of that was drastically improved in the sequel for which I am very grateful.

It's terrible because the whole game is a cheesy, unrealistically hilariously terrible minigame.

Also I must say that I really despised would have to be Age of Chivalry. The ONLY good do here is freaking TEAMKILLING.

Graphics- some of the worst I have ever seen.

Servers, though always constantly lag.

Angry birds on consols is the worst piece of sh*t ever. The iphone/android game is ok but i never got why it got so popular and theres even an Angry Bird for ps3, i saw it and it was being sold for 30 euros, that around 20 $ what a rip off

Sims 2 and 3 for anything except pc, i havent played the ps3 and xbox 360 versions of sims 3 but i heard it has a lot of stuff missing and u cant buy add ons. I played sims 2 pets on the Playstation 2 but it sucked when compared to the pc version.

My main one however is Dear Esther. Oh my, thank game was so bad that I'm not sure that it can even be counted as a game! The developers tried to go for this whole "atmospheric" thing but that's not what games are about. The fact you can only move your character around (very slowly as well) just makes it walking simulator and the game didn't even look that good.

Okay... I'm going to try to be more serious now... Let's see... Well, the "worst" game I can see in my shelf is Smarties Meltdown... It's basically a game advertising, you guessed it, smarties. It wasn't exactly "broken", but certainly a game with little quality. I particularly remember hating the camera controls.

lol this is so true, the only way I was ever able to play that game was if I implemented the Invincibility cheat. There's obviously a problem with the game if you need a cheat to simply progress
