So last night I saw the new MADTV episode and in it they made fun of the brony fandom and I thought Tosh.0 made fun of us MADTV did it as well. Only one show comes to mind that hasn't made fun of us yet South Park. With the growing fandom the South Park writers probably already have a episode in the works. They have made fun of everyone the Mexicans, the Canadians, the Germans, gamers, goths, and tons of other cultures, subcultures, and events. If they do make a South Park episode about bronies they will use everything in their armoury against us so bronies prepare and be ready when this happens because after that episode the haters will grow stronger but we will loose bronies as well. BUT we will keep strong throughout this desperate time that may happen we will remain strong BRONIES UNITE. Anyway what are your thoughts people.

It wouldn't necessarily be bad. I got into World of Warcraft after watching the South Park episode about it. Being mocked on South Park could result in lots of people becoming interested in this fandom, too.

I think that if there was a South Park Brony episode, It would by Randy Marsh that's the brony. I could just see it. Him on his computer late at night watching ponies when Stan walks into the room and he switches it as fast as he can, but Stan still sees the ponies.

I think it shall be very interesting in what the world thinks of us. You see, when people point out a weakness, you can change this weakness into your strength and use it against those in who use it on you in the first place. I believe it is this that has kept this fandom going as long as it has. =D

I'm certainly not worried about this inevitability. If South Park does parody Bronies and the MLP fandom, it's highly likely that everything will turn positive towards us.
Those who witness the episode can be put into three groups:

- People who love the franchise

- People who hate the franchise

- People unaware of the franchise

 

Bronies who view the episode are VERY unlikely to stop being a brony.

people who hate the franchise will either continue to hate the franchise, or possibly become less opposed to it.

People unaware of the franchise may become inclined to further investigate just what bronies are, and thus possibly find interest in the franchise.

Even the worst case scenario falls to South Park, as the episode may result in a chunk of Brony haters to avoid the episode, lowering the show's views and ratings.

I don't mind parodies alot of them are hilarious and if South Park makes an episode about bronies it is going to be an instant classic. I could picture it now Cartman is a hater who turns out to be a closet brony, Kenny being the delightful little perv he is is a clopper, and either Kyle tries to convince Stan to watch or vice versa.

Based on what I've seen from Trey Parker and Matt Stone, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they made fun of the brony fandom. I also wouldn't be surprised if they did this while being fans of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic themselves.

 

There are things they make fun of that they also have a soft spot for. It's one of my favorite things about South Park and about them in general; not even stuff they like is safe. Case-in-point: when they took on Family Guy (hilarious) you could say they were harsh...but when Cartman and (Stan? Kyle?) finally start talking about it, they both admit they like Family Guy. That was Parker and Stone talking from the heart, I think.

 

In general, the media and Jerry Springer can take a hike. But South Park? I have a feeling bronies would ultimately be entertained with the end result. If a certain group of people isn't hurting anyone, they'll exploit the funny parts and poke fun - which I think is great - but they probably won't completely drag the fandom through the mud.

Well honestly most of the time these type of things don't typically offend me all that much. I mean I learn to try and laugh at them really .

 

South park pokes fun at all kinds of things, so I wouldn't doubt it. However I doubt it'll make much of a difference overall, anyone with a brain knows most of the stuff get picked at on a much more extreme level and isn't normally bad at all honestly.

 

Heck it might make others aware of the show, and thus mean more fans ironically.

 

I don't think we have to worry a whole lot, maybe it'll even be funny I doubt it'll be a big shot at Bronies exactly, I don't know offensive it'll actually even be to really be fair.

 

I'm not really worried, besides I don't actually watch south park much of any. And I'm a closet brony, so Its not like I'm getting more haters or something.

Are you kidding? I'm super psyched about the idea of a South Park Brony episode! I think it'd be hilarious! I mean, I always found videos making fun of bronies in at least a semi-intelligent and humorous way funny! If you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at? Videos like My Little Brony and Twilight Sparkle meets a Brony are some of my favorite MLP based videos, and they're anti-brony!
