Episode That You Like that Everybrony else hates, and vice versa?

Just For Sidekicks can go die in fire. Cathy Weseluck's attempts to interject humanity in Spike when the writers did not and the little Mane Six moments in the beginning and end are the only highlights in this mean spirited, OOC, and pointless episode.

/Rage.

Your avatar goes with your post perfectly, but I didn't think that episode was that bad and it was linked in with other episodes nicely (thought like you said that was mainly the ending). But any episode with lots an Angel is good for me :), hes a great "side kick" and it was nice to see how the different animals/pets within MLP react to each other ect :).

Hearts and hooves day - I'm not sure if this is a hated episode but it's definitely not very popular. This is my favourite CMC episode as it has some of my favourite lines from the show such as Sweetie Belle yelling "Aw, come on!" and the baby talk between Big Mac and Cherilee.

The episode I hate that everyone else likes is Putting your hoof down. I felt the first half of the episode kind of dragged on a bit with Fluttershy being a doormat and I didn't like the way she treated Pinkie and Rarity later on.

I loved magical mystery cure, and I loved the musical! Many people did not like the musical and I loved the musical, and I thinked it showed Twilights character well! I also loved the Apple Family reunion, it was amazing and the song was so good! And surprisingly I also loved the wonderbolt academy, I think Rainbow got to show her own personality much better in this episode!

Hush hush, Starlights asleep, hush hush, through her telescope she weeps, hush, hush, as she hunts for mars, hush, hush, and head for stars!

I loved Mare Do Well, and am pleased to see some possitive opinions of it in this thread.  I keep meaning to do aa whole defence thing on it, because I feel that many bronies missed the point of what was happening (specifically Dashie's personality).  Wingnut, that was brilliantly written.

If it helps, I already have posted one. I thought it was a very, very in-character episode for Rainbow Dash. In fact, come to think of it, I can't think of any bad Rainbow Dash episodes, unless Games Ponies Play somehow counts by shoehorning in a RD moral, in which case, that's definitely her worst ep. laugh.png

Is look before you sleep considered unpopular?

Because that is my favorite episode of ALL TIME, but no one seems to talk about it at all.

As for which episode i'm not a fan of I'd have to say

Swarm of the Century

Really really dislike that episode, just find it uninteresting all around. Aside from a few moments.

Seems like a lot of people dig that episode though (Must be Pinkie and her one pony band)

The Show Stoppers.

A lot of Bronies generally seem to turn their nose up at CMC episodes, and this is usually considered one of the worst, but I find it more than worthwhile if only for the hilariously awful Power Rock performance of the Cutie Mark Crusaders theme song.

In fact, I think I generally like CMC episodes more than most around here.

The Show Stoppers was the episode that I saw first, and I instantly loved it (I knew nothing about the show or the fandom then) I found the CMC to be very relateable as characters, as I can compere there storyline to my own life in a way (the whole, finding who you are thing).  I will always have a spot for them, and I will always have a spot for this episode.

What do you get if you take the adventurous element, and good vs. evil storylines of Generation 1, reintroduce some abandoned storylines, that only happened with the toys, add the lessons of life elements from My Little Pony Tales, and the adorableness, and fantasy element from Generation 3, use the type of personalities of ponies used in all generations, and put them together using a true fan's perspective?

I like The Mysterious Mare Do Well okay.  I can totally see what's wrong with it, but it didn't cripple the episode for me like so many people.  It's a dumb episode, but I'll take it.  I like how I was able to figure out the ending beforehand, but it didn't feel too obvious or shoved in my face.  Plus, Rainbow's bragging WAS kindof annoying, so I couldn't help but want her to get her commupance.  And Spike in his little reporter outfit is so cute lol.

I also love Look Before You Sleep, which doesn't really seem like a big fan favorite.

I dislike Luna Eclipsed.  I just didn't get it.  I'm sure the episode makes logical sense on paper, but my mind just doesn't grasp it well.  It's a weird episode to me, and I just didn't fall in love with Luna.

I also disliked Party of One.  I don't know why mental breakdowns are used in childrens cartoons so much.  Kinda disturbing.  On that note...

I HATE Lesson Zero.  I'm sorry, but I thought Twilight was very unlikable in this.  The episode took her OCD too far for me, and I didn't like her going crazy, or using the doll as a trick.  And most of the moral wasn't even about her not acting like a nutter.  Sigh... There were some cool visual moments I'll admit.

I love you.

I’m glad you enjoyed my post, MJN.  FYI I read Stellafera’s blog entry on TMMDW months ago and I agreed with most of what she had to say.  So in the first paragraph here I plagiarized rewrote a lot of those thoughts in my own words.  Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.  wink.png  But if you still think that wall of text is brilliant, you should also check out my recent write-up on Rarity.  http://mlpforums.com/topic/4729-rarity-fan-club/page-12#entry1292103  I enjoy praise and pats on the back almost as much as RD and I promise not to let it go to my head.  biggrin.png
