I'm not particularly nervous, I know mine is probably not what they're looking for (and looks like absolute shit in comparison to other entries). I'm really looking forward to seeing what other people have come up with, I'd love to see all submissions.

Just a heads-up... given that Feld0 is going to be away for a couple days and thus unable to actually judge anything... I'd say that submissions up to Saturday as a cut-off point will be fine. So if you're sweating bullets, relax a little.

I don't know about showing what you've done already. I'd be concerned about art/concept thiefs, but then... if you post your entry first, you WOULD be able to prove you came up with it.

Not that ceiling Feld0 isn't constantly watching you draw and browse and clop and steal, but...

It's a bit like patents for drugs, designs, inventions etc. You have to wait long enough to finish developing the thing, but be quick to submit the final work and thus own the best possible.

 

Perhaps I'll post up my entries on Tumblr.

I might have enough time to make a new one by the end of Sunday. Or maybe I can squeeze it in by Saturday

Feld0 will be returning Sunday afternoon. You might be able to squeeze something in during the morning, but you would be cutting it dangerously close.

 

For the sake of safety I'd suggest considering Sunday, 10:00 AM PST as being the latest acceptable time for submissions. I cannot guarantee that anything submitted beyond that point will be given consideration.

Well you heard him all you artists, chop chop, get your logo designs in!!!   This is so exciting; pretty soon we'll have an official logo for the entire Poniverse selected!  This is gonna be... *say it with me everypony*... SO AWESOME!!!!!

With all that Marine Developmental Biology lectures (and practical works) we're having, I'm wondering if I should draw a cartoon version of a pony embryo (say, a neurula or a fetus) and make it my second concept.

Although I think it might express how recent bronydom is, and also a metaphor of the fandom's growth and changes (sometimes radical ones, like morphogenesis) in its development.

It took me a few hours to design it and possibly double the time to vectorize multiple logos with different software. If you're no good at vectorizing logos, you could always send it to me and I'll help you vectorize it and maybe you could possibly split a quarter of the profits to me. :3 Edited May 20, 2013 by Azura

Didn't you name the file? You should be able to just search for it instead of redrawing it. A quick sketch on a piece of paper will do.

Alas, sadly, I have to just watch the contest ends. My laptop's Windows bluescreencrashes and now I can't run it at all, on a Linux now but the GIMP in here crashes while I worked on my design (what is wrong with this laptop anyway!?).
