oh goodness hard question. i love some Living tombstone also. I love his Smile remix, but I am really digging MandoPony right now.!! I love the originality instead of just a remix of what is already there.

At first I didn't care much for brony music at all. Then I decided to put on a brony playlist to see if the music had gotten better over the years, since my first experiences stem from the interim period between Season 1 and 2 and at the time I found most of it to be lacking in content since it didn't seem to have much to do with ponies in many cases.

 

The first song I really liked was Booooring by Assertive Fluttershy, so he instantly became one of my favorites.

 

Later I heard stuff from Evening Star, which is also absolutely awesome so I'd count him among my favorites (Although as a sidenote, I like him for his music only. It doesn't actually remind me of ponies in the slightest).

 

Lastly, I heard the song Frailty by Prince Whateverer. IMO this is the best brony-made song out there right now because it's exactly my style of music and the lyrics really fit. I'd have to say that makes him my absolute favorite brony musician.

 

Honorable mention goes to Ken Ashcorp because he does have a brony song even though he isn't actually a brony musician. I like most of his songs so I'm just going to add him to the list.

The only two I've found that made a huge impact on me are PinkiePieSwear and RainbowCrash88. I think "Sunshine and Celery Stalks" is probably one of the best songs I've ever heard and RC88 was actually the person who inspired me to start making pony related Chiptunes.

...and RC88 was actually the person who inspired me to start making pony related Chiptunes.

 

Personally, I never really was into RC88's music. I didn't think it was bad, per se, it just sorta felt basic to me. It was Interrobang Pie's "Dedede Invades Equestria" which got me into pony chip (which is, sadly, either private, unlisted, or taken off ‽π's YouTube entirely.) I'll just link e-Questria to make up for it. I'll also link something new of ipi's here to show they're not dead like some may think, but in super-sneaky Size 10 font for ultimate super-sneakiness. (Also, wow, I only just noticed I-Pie was on the poll. Cool stuff.)

 

Another favorite of mine (who I originally considered upon seeing the topic name, before seeing others' comments in said topic) has to be 4everfreebrony. He makes "basically everything except rap" (to quote his YouTube), and while I haven't heard any metalcore or glitch hop from him, I will say he's quite diverse. And by diverse, check out these two chants. Yes, chants. Then there's the barbershop quartet piece. And his remix of Aviators's "Open Your Eyes" that I reeeaally love. And while this isn't genre related, he also released a concept album about Pinkie Pie. Almost all of his songs are ones that I instantly loved, so I can't recommend him enough to anyone who's never checked out his music before.

I have to admit that I don't know of that many Brony musicians, I'd have to say that The Living Tombstone and Mic the Microphone are two of my favorite artists!
