Recent lucky thing to happen to you?

As the title says, what's one of the most recent lucky thing to happen to you?

 

For example, I accidentally machine-washed my jeans which had my earbuds in it. Thankfully, they still worked perfectly even after the accidental wash. (Maybe even better than before...)

Um... Let's see. Um, I was playing Pokemon white and I caught a shiny audino, I'm not gonna use it really, but I thought it was pretty lucky.

 

I also a while back got a pokerus on my platinum and then a few days later on my heartgold.

 

I got a bunch of wins in my placement matches. Which was luck because even if I ended up in silver 3 I don't belong there. I've been losing consistently so far .

 

Besides that I can't think of anything right now. Maybe if something else comes up I'll post it .

Uh, the luckiest thing that's happened to me recently is that I... found a nickel under my pillow... so, yeah.

 

So, it appears as if the Tooth Fairy has a thing for me, next thing you know, I'll be discovering that Santa's my long-lost uncle or something.

I forgot to take my wallet out of my jeans' pocket and washed it... Everything inside. ATM-card, insurance card, student card, identity card...

 

But they all made it. Had to dry my student card. It's just a piece of paper, so... phew.

 

And my wallet didn't really make it. Leather plus detergent is not the best combination... But that's easy to replace.

 

Now I'm the owner of a brand new wallet that even fits more to my personality.

Well, I stepped out of my bed this morning, luckily with all limbs still attached to my body, without being infected by HIV, still living in a more or less comfortable house and not waking up wth the thought of commiting suicide. Seriously, even without any luck I'd still have a better life than around 80% of the world's population. :I

I found some money I didn't even know I had in my closet, tucked away in a pocket of one one of my jackets. I don't know how long it has been there, but it was cool to discover that. It was three dollars in quarters.

I'm a generally unlucky person, whenever something lucky happens to me it is counteracted by the opposite later, like if I found some money, I would likely loose it later or loose more than I found :/

 

I suppose I luckily got an item drop on WoW that I've been after for a few weeks, I completely forgot about it, I just happened to be killing that boss to check someone else's ability at the game.

Got pulled over 3 times in the same week for not having my front license plate. I was let off with a warning the 3 times I got pulled over. That would have been a $25 fine x 3 times so $75. I'm not pushing my luck anymore though, my front plate is back on my car.

  A little while ago I went for a run and had to wait for the signal to change at a cross walk.  The light turned red and all the cars stopped, but the walk signal didn't flash.  I waited a bit, but got impatient and decided to cross.  By the time I got to the middle of the cross walk, the light turned green and I think this one guy floored it to scare me.  As soon as I got to the pavement a car sped past, which made me feel like I almost got hit, though that may just be me. 

 

  I also got chosen to be an extra in a commercial.  Even though I'm just an extra, I'm still really excited   !

Yesterday I went to Long John Silvers for dinner. Normally the fries are really soggy and the chicken and clams are overcooked, but this time everything was fresh and perfect and it all tasted just soooo good.

Securing a job after 10 months of unemployment. When you haven't worked for that long and spend most of your time completely alone and unable to go many places or do much of anything because of finances, it feels extremely liberating to find work.

 

And very soon I'll be going to BronyCon, which did much to turn my life around last year, and this time I'll get to meet some forum friends while I'm there.

This was a while ago, but during the musical at my school, my friends and I were making an annual Starbucks run.  I had a really rough day, so I said, "After today, I seriously need a cake pop and some coffee!"  So I ordered and prepared my money.  The cashier got me my things and said my bill was $1.50.  I was confused and handed him the seven dollars, and he handed back the extra and said, "I'll pay for your coffee."  I didn't even care about my day because that was the nicest thing that's ever happened to me.  I can't even think of anything that lucky since then.

Found out one of my college buddies is a raver. I've always wanted to go to one, and I thought they'd help me with my social anxiety, but I never knew how (since so much of that scene is secretive), so next semester he said I can go with him. Yay!

Well, I was just strolling with my Turkish bayonet because I was feeling happy, when the seal holding the blade inside of the sheath suddenly broke. The blade went flying into the air, hit the ceiling, and landed right in front of my feet. I like to consider myself rather lucky that my parents didn't hear all of the ruckus. Oh yeah, and that I didn't stab myself in the foot.

I just got hired on an orchard in the Okanagen Valley! But it's not just any orchard, it's a tourist spot too, so it's all dressed up like a quaint old farm.
