Your Opinions of Pinkie Pie

Eh, don't hate on me for saying this.

 

She's my least favorite mane 6, but I don't dislike her at all. She's funny, cool, and a silly character overall.

 

My biggest problem with her is the fact that she is 80% useless in most- if not ALL- of the episodes that don't feature her as the main center of the story. What I mean is, she's only there for comedic effect and randomness just to make the show funny. Sure, she may figure out the plot device first, she may even get some decent character development, but other than that she's nearly pointless.

 

Now, I don't hate her at all, like I said, but she needs to be more of a good, developed character than just a comic relief excuse! The only times when she's not just the comedic value of the episode is when she's the main character of the episode's story or around 10% of the Premieres and Finales. That's just not enough for me.

 

Again, don't hate me for it, it's just my opinion.

Pinkie Pie is my least favorite of the mane 6, but I still like her. However, hyperactive characters like her tend to annoy me, so yes, Pinkie does annoy me. I don't think she's funny at all, sorry.

 

I do think it's cute that she wants to make everyone happy, but she often goes about it the wrong way and ends up making others sad. So not much to admire there IMO.

Pinkie is my 3rd favorite pony for good reasons, I just really like her randomness as she always makes me grin when she's on camera ;p. And I'm just a big fan of the randomness and stuff she does. Plus she has some pretty catchy songs, and her optimism cheers me up when I'm feeling blue.

 

Pinkie is pretty awesome, I like all the mane 6, and she is pretty close to the top being in my 3rd place favorite slot.

Pinkie's not my favorite, but I still really like her. Her sole desire in life is to make everypony else happy, without ever asking anything in return. How can you not admire that?

, hiya . Just letting you know that we already had an older topic for sharing opinions about Pinkie, and that your thread's been merged with it to keep the discussion all in one place.

 

Didn't really think much of Pinkie at first, honestly. She was fun and random, but also grating a lot of the time. And then I saw Party of One and realized she was a much more complex character than I'd thought, and one that I could relate to very much. And the funny, sad and relatable moments and episodes just kept piling up over time and wouldn't you know, she's my third favorite character now. There's some really interesting things going on with her beneath the bubbly and hyper exterior.

Pinkie Pie is 5th in my mane 6 ranking, but that doesn't mean I don't like her.

She's a very positive character, and had great songs (Smile, Pinkie Pie the Party Planner...). She made me laugh several times, and the episodes focusing her are decent (not my favorites though).

However I don't like her "Pinkamena" side, and I find the fandom destroyed her with videos like Smile HD or Cupcakes.

Plus she tends to be annoying in the episodes not about her. (ie Filli Vanilli)...

Actually one of my favorites:

She actually gives me nostalgia because she reminds me of Spongebob a bit, which was one of my favorite shows. (Although I can't say the same about SBSP in the later years.)

Also, "Smile" is my favorite song in the series.

Pinkie is the best IMHO. She's managed to save otherwise terrible episodes for me, with a good gag or two, such as in season 3. Well, "save" is maybe not the right word. I wouldn't say I absolutely hated even the worst regarded episodes, even if I can't say I liked them, and if I did hate them, one gag wouldn't singlehandedly make them good episodes, but at least a good Pinkie Pie gag can be a highlight. Pinkie cracks me up in general, mind you. She's just so random, and I love it.

She's my second favorite pony.  She's random, unpredictable, and full of positive energy (and a sympathetic character when she's feeling down).  She possesses my second favorite singing voice amongst the Mane Six, and I enjoy it whenever she and Dashie have an opportunity to interact in the show (Griffon the Brush-Off, Over a Barrel, Party of One, Too Many Pinkie Pies, Wonderbolts Academy, Pinkie Pride).  I think I didn't quite know how to take her at first, but - much like she did with Dashie - Pinks definitely grew on me.  Now it's just the remaining four that are constantly swapping places on my Mane 6 rankings list. xD

Pinkie Pie is the one pony out of the Mane 6 that is kept on a leash by the writers. When they left her off, it's bad for those she haunts.

I use to hate her to be honest. I thought instead of being funny she was just obnoxious and suffering from a serious case of adhd. "Uugghhhh Pinkie, shut up! I hate yoooouuuuu!" I use to think to myself when ever I saw her.

 

But just a day or two ago. Like after an hour or so when I was done talking to someone about Pinkie who also didn't like her much, I was just all of the sudden "Wait, I REALLY like her now... what just happened?" No reason, no explanation I can think of, not a gradual change of opinion. I immediately liked Pinkie and said "Pinkie, I know I have called you worst pony and I have bagged on you from the start, and I'm sorry. So sorry. Would you be my... third best pony?"

I think Pinkie Pie is the funniest pony of them all! She does nothing but make me smile and her songs are wonderful! My favorite song of hers is the part she does in the Equestria Girls cafeteria song Help Twilight Win the Crown
