Ever had "these" kids in your school?

Hi Hi Puffy YumiMiko

Recommended Posts

I'm a rather.spunky girl.

It seems that your friend and I would get along very well!

I like to meow too. XD

I'm a talkative, weird, energetic asian, who is an otaku, and listens to techno, pop, and themes.

There's too many obnoxious people in my school...

Wannabe jocks, popular girls, those weird guys,

And those people who do PAD, or public affection display.

Of course, there's nice people too,

My friends are mostly otakus

a girl who loves bands

a girl who ships thorki and loves using the doge meme

my twin sister

a girl who's obsessed with Black Butler and loves cosplaying and general art

a girl who is literally the next Mozart (seriously she plays like 7 instruments)

and then I have a friend who tries to internet but can't :P

I've come across all of those kinds of people at least once in my life. The people around me really vary but most of my friends are also Otakus like me. Either that or they're really into video games.

To be honest I wouldn't generalize my school or class. Sure we're a private school, but we're not full of snobs or anything special, really! We have a variety of different people.

Even I can't set my class into groups, since over half of them are able to be together without much trouble, and they have so many different traits that 'placing' them in groups wouldn't describe them as they simply are.

If there's one thing I've learned over the course of two years in junior high, it's that kids are smarter than we give them credit for.

Everyone has their own interests and preferences. As long as they're not being obnoxious about it, it's all well and good.

Annoyance and ignorance come in all colors, interests, and backgrounds.

But, if you do want to read stories about obsessive fans over a global phenomenon, check out r/weeabootales on reddit.

I actually knew someone who was like that first one, though 10x worse(he actually sees Hitler as a good person and a source of inspiration)

No. I hate rap. Rap sucks. It's all about money and stuff. I prefer rock. What's wrong with that?

"I hate rap [because] It's all about money and stuff."

These are the kind of over-the-top generalizations that I was referring to in my previous post. You are knowingly making a false statement by ambiguously associating an entire genre with "bad stuff", and you never specified a context for how the subject of "bad stuff" (money, etc) needed to be stated as for you to hate the music associated with it in its entirety, so if we went by the ambiguity of your statement, a rock song about the pattern of US dollar circulation over the 20th century would technically be something you would hate since money and "stuff" is inherently bad.

"I prefer rock. What's wrong with that?"

Where did I claim that having a different music preference was wrong? I was pointing out your blatant use of the association fallacy to justify your very visible hatred of rap.

In high school I was the stereotypical fat kid that turned into the revolutionist/sh-t disturber. I had a personal vendetta against the vice principle. As for people around me I went to a preppy/rich kid school all the kids dressed in Kappa Track suits/Girls in Lululemon yoga wear. I came to school in plaid shirts and jeans..

Not to be rude but is this really a topic to make a thread out of? As mentioned earlier, all schools have kids who like different things, and if we are going to point "at the weird ones" it could quickly devolve into bullying.

Well just speaking of differences isn't really bullying. It does become bullying if you go to offend them. I have someone with Asperger but he's a really nice guy and he helped me a lot once with my homework. I think it's a good thing that there are so much different kinds of people. As long as they don't berate each other for being different.

there's the (ridiculous) "popular" groups; one being a bunch of jocks and the other being a bunch of girls who think they're better than you. Then there's the awkward kids, which is almost everyone.

then comes me. the group that's kind of like, oh hai thar, we like geckos and books, and two of us know Taekwondo, so nobody really messes with us unless they're really upset or don't know what we could do to them if we wanted to. we'd never hurt a fly, though.

an then the ... I don't know how to put this nicely... mentally challenged/physically conditioned group that has extra adults following them. you know, the misunderstood sweethearts.

oh. I forgot the younger grades who think they're better than you. yeah... sas sing back and mocking you when you stand up for a friend who is in their grade and is younger than you? yeah. them.

that's it

lets see who recognizes me cx

Pretty much every school that isn't a private school that is against individualism has those kinds of kids.

What do you mean? My high school is Private, Jesuit Catholic, even, and we have to listen to garbage about 'individualism' and accepting others differences all the time! I wouldn't say my school is anti-individualism; its sickeningly individualistic!

Well they wouldn't dare to in my school I think. But thats because most people in my class are like 1.90 meters and they're 1.50

I was referring to schools the put everyone in the same uniform, and separates girls and boys like they're fire and gasoline.

We have those kids at my school. Sort of anyway.

The first kid is my best friend, and I'm the understudy to, Adam Anderson. He can best be summed up with the first statement, but doesn't study at all. Hates school, and wants to get into the marines for training and then become a mercenary.

The second kid is my ex-girlfriends best friend (and one of my best friends), Rosemary. I don't know that she likes all the shows listed, but she is OBSESSED with Hetalia.

The third kid is one of my other few Best Friends, John Cleary, who is just a kind of asshole that's loud. Watches all of the same stuff I do, so he definitely loves GIR

And then I don't know of any foreign exchange students. But I'll talk about myself, Joseph Gray, an absolutely crazy punk who loves MLP and a lot of other anime. I also am obsessed with the internet.

My friends:

The joker (me)- I am not to be taken seriously, I am the 1st idiot for a reason.

Harry potter- The socially skilled one, he look like harry potter.

Anonymous- The one F*CKING up the school computers always trolling the science teacher.

"scene kid"- Homestuck and anime fan, also likes some interesting music. xD

The different types of bullies:

Bullies.... they are all the same... no exeptions... they all like poprap and are pretty unintellect.

(No, I am not making fun of pop and rap, it is just something they all have in common.)

(Really cool signature)

Well for a start, almost everyone's Asian!!! And not oriental Asian, the Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi/etc Asian. It's certainly made my life interesting, being a White English boy with no religion. It does make it harder to fit in, but it's part of me, I guess.

The social system is one of circles. Depending of what form class you started in/primary school/if you like football (european version to clarify.) There aren't any bullies in our school, suprisingly. Though there's plenty of know-it-all arseholes who'd greet you with a 'what.'

I'd fit into the 'Hipster' group but I get along with most people. My mates and I, like US drama, geeky stuff and going to the local corner shop at lunch to get meal deals.

Oh wait! *gasp* . I've revealed too much. *Leaves*

Well just like you, I also have a lot of kids in my class that would rather listen to rap, which would probably explains the habit of some foul language xD (I,for one, do not cuss btw) Personally I don't listen to rap much either and I prefer J-pop,rock, some k-pop or oddly orchestra.

Also, there are a few anime fans like me and there is one girl I know who claims to have learned japanese and traveled to Japan for a few months, but I'm not sure if that is true or not (ah wel). I only know four people from my school who knew me for a loooonng time and oddly only two of them talks to me now. But yeah mostly my school does have a few loud and assertive people, mostly the ones who horseplay sometimes during school. But I mean it doesn't matter to me, there are always going to be different types of people right? So I usually think that it's sometimes best to ignore, let them be their own person I guess xD

And yes I admit even I may be weird or too happy and I'm sometimes quiet for the most part too. xD But at least I have some nice friends that I can talk to. img-2036677-1-smile.png

There's one friend of mine who tries to turn everyone's problems into her own, really annoying actually, especially when she drags me with her.

Then there's the people who jump from fad to fad so they can "fit in"

The hipsters who will hate everything that you enjoy, and who just happen to suck the life out of every conversation

and then there's the annoying one who says weird stuff when trying to act cool to impress people she wants to hang out with (me, no seriously, it's me ; -; )

There's this nerd in my school who is obsessed with the Holocaust and 9/11, and he always reminds us on the anniversary dates. He also tells us to be quiet when we talk and to study and behave.

There's also an otaku (who happens to be my BFF) who likes anime, MLP, Adventure Time (why not?) and (I just introduced it to her) Code Lyoko Evolution and the orignal CL. She is awkward and nerdy, some say she's too happy and annoying, and she meows. No, really, she likes to imitate a neko.

There's an emogoth who listens to Asking Alexandria and he likes Code Lyoko only for one character. He also likes GIR and Jack Skellington. Niceee.

And then, there's me. I am a foreign exchange from Finland. I am a little too happy (kinda like my otaku friend) and I don't talk too much.

Many kids in my school are lazy and cuss alot due to horrible rap music. I hate rap and Nicki Minaj, and I prefer rock. And the lazy rap kids consider me nerd.

What kinds of kids do you have? Please describe them!!!

~Yumi~

YIPE! I was afraid you'd blame rap music.

It's all actually because of their surroundings, and lifestyle, not music, I listen to rap, Though I used to hate rap as a middle schooler I still swore XD BUT now! I listen to rap... still use swear words lol it's a guilty habit, -_-

Anywho, I have an otaku friend too who claims emo though he's as loud and annoying as a monkey on crack, never shuts up and always touches and touches my other friends... *im liking him less and less...*

Also I have a friend who is a gamer nerd, into that fantasy, card games, and video games, you know, usual stuph. He's also a brony, and he pretty much likes almost everything I do.

Then there's that weird quiet but, weird dude, he's always mumbling to me all these weird things I shouldn't explain here....

And a friend who is a lot like me, she likes ponies, quiet, not as serious as me, more quiet and calm.

And she draws ponies ^_^ she's a great drawer.

Then there's me, I'm serious, and usually tired and wanting to sleep. I'm usually that boring guy at the back of the class who never talks, but when I'm with my friends I'm loud. I'm the artist in my group, my friends appreciate my drawings. I'm also the 'pony expert' almost  I'm also the sarcastic one, I get pretty rude sometimes though.

Then there's that annoying dude who acts gangster but really just makes a fool if himself, *everyone in my science class >.> * he says something stupid then gets called out or punched.

There's those annoying guys who act loud obnoxious and weird to make friends, and really look like idiots.

Tough guys, they're jerks. nuff said...

No. I hate rap. Rap sucks. It's all about money and stuff. I prefer rock. What's wrong with that?

You good sir haven't listened to the better rap. You're talking about that Lil Wayne, other jerk rapper BS there's good rap out there, you don't have to like it but saying that's all it's about, is a very ignorant statement. Edited by Pelate

About 90% of my school would be classified as "those" kids. Every morning when the 25 min bell rings (till class starts) everyone gets out of the cafeteria just to go stand in the middle of the hall way. Not even going to a teacher or getting stuff from a locker, just standing there wasting space for others to get through. I guess sitting down and talking is just too uncomfortable or something.

Idiots that dump a milk carton in a pile of gym's cloths from the lost and found that cause a stink havoc the next day. People that write what they think is amusing bomb threats on the wall. Thinking it's cool stealing school property or destroying it.

Though I have one friend who I'm kinda embarrassed to be around, but he is a cool guy.

at mine, there are the country kids, the JROTC kids ( which im a part of i guess, even though the class as a whole hates me due to the fact i wear awonderbolts hoodie and rainbow tail ) and the Band kids :P all the kids in the school fall into these 3 groups really... my friends tend to be the " nerdy " and " weird " ones from Band and a few from JROTC includeing my GF ( JROTC ) . my school is nothing to complain about though, as my last one was horrible with all the " thug " kids giveing me hell, bullying. etc :)

First off... OMIGOSH YOU LOVE CODE LYOKO!? *ahem* anyways...

I will go over my friend group.

First there is me, I am the socially awkward one, I also like to wear a tail sometimes and wear cyperpunk goggles on my head or around my neck. I like wearing chains, and bands on my arms and occasionally wear war paint. I am a furry, a brony, an anime freak and funnily enough a serious skateboarder.

Then there's Lee, he's the loud and hyper one, he is an asshole a lot of the time, but he is completely loyal to us and would do anything to stand up for us when in trouble... that being said he is a stick thin weakling. He too skateboards, and is also a competitive gamer.

Peter, another friend, he's the ladies man, always chatting up the girls and also getting along with everyone. In short he is very charismatic. He has a few different friend groups and doesn't always hang with me, but I was his first friend, and he was mine so we are extremely close.

One of my best friends Daniel, he's the saint of the group, meaning he never swears, never argues and doesn't cause trouble. Everyone loves that dude, he is also a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, that's right, he's a Mormon. He happens to be one of the most down to earth dudes you'd ever meet.

Lastly we have Harley, she's a serious skateboarder like me, she is also a lesbian, people like to judge her a lot, but she can just brush it off like it was nothing. She is tough, funny and such a great person to hang out with.

I am no longer in school, and a few of my friends moved schools; we are no longer together as much as we would like. But when we were in school we were always the weird group, the odd kids, but we also made people laugh (not at us... with us.) and honestly? I'd never give them up for anything else in the world

Heh, sounds like my life could be an anime, eh? xD
