As a brony and a person. What do you think people see in you upon first sight?

So a person sees you the first time. Sometimes they give you a look or sometimes a gesture. Wearing brony attire or not what do you think is going on in that persons head when they look at you. Lol I sound weird but I'm a bit curious :muffins:

I should say has anypony had personal experiences with this? XP

Yeahh. Whenever I'm rummaging through the MLP stuff in the toy aisles, parents will look at me like I'm a freak when they walk by with their kids.

I'll usually just say "Wazzup?" Or something to make it even more awkward, 'cuz that's how I roll.

It depends, if I am wearing my work uniform it is fairly obvious that I either on my way to work or back from it and since I wear knee pads people often ask why I wear them. At 6 feet tall and 350 pounds alot of people probably think and this one kid said once "you are huge", if I am wearing my Applejack or Twilight Sparkle shirts the reactions I do get are either WTF or positive reactions from other bronies.

First impression I give on most people is usually something like this: "Dangit Bobbeh, mah lawn mower is on FYRE!" in my awesome Hank Hill impression voice. What do they do? Well, the cool ones laugh, the stupid ones just stare.

As for the Brony thing, pretty much the same thing. People ask: "The fuck is up with the pony, man? Are you like, gay or something?" I just respond with something like "Yeah, man, *Johnny Bravo "Whatever"* Ain't it awesome?"

Same goes when they see my totally tokin' Rainbow Dash T-Shirt. It says "I LIKE RACECARS!" on the bottom. People are usually like "The fuck dude" but usually when I have it on at school without my uniform shirt on people say this "You know man, anyone else would get made fun of for that, but you, nobody can make fun of you" Which is true, I have created quite the fan base at my school.

So yeah, most of the time it's  a "You don't look like the kinda guy to have that shirt or have a pony on his dashboard, but ya have one"

I'm conceited so even negative attention is good attention for me. Like Grandpap always yodeled in the barn: "If they are hatin' they are takin' the time to notice!"

I'm not sure really. I usually am wearing a purple Hero of Rage homestuck sweatshirt, so I would most likely attract other homestuck fans before other bronies. I have 3 My Little Pony oriented shirts though, so I wear them quite frequently. So without the sweatshirt, I've surprisingly met a lot of other bronies before simply by wearing a Pony shirt.

Anyways, the only comment I've ever gotten from somebody about myself wearing a Pony shirt was at a town festival. Some random drunken fellow approached me asking me "What the hell is a Derpy". (My shirt had Derpy on it alongside "Have a derpy day".) Even if I get a weird look for wearing a pony shirt, I really couldn't care less.

I imagine them thinking this:

"Why is that girl wearing a pony shirt? Isn't she too old for that show? Oh well, who cares, gotta buy groceries, lol."

I always have black under my eyes as well (I have trouble sleeping and I'm always exhausted no matter what), so they probably notice that second.

"What's wrong with this guy? He looks like he just walked out of a homeless shelter. His hair is long and unkempt, and judging by his expression, he's probably constipated.
Why the hell is he trashing his head about so violently... ? OH! He's listening to music, and "getting into it". Okay... seriously, though, WHAT THE FUCK?!"

By the way, 70's attire and pony shirts go well together.

Well, anyone I've encountered thus far appears to think that the ponies look cute. No real negative reception. Then again, I don't go around shoving it in people's faces. Don't own any sort of merchandise that people can see. Though I'd imagine they'd appreciate my artwork, as people around here tend to be pretty mellow. (That and I'm a female, so who the hell cares?)

Idk really what the first reaction is, it depends on if people simply pass by or actually speak to me.

My hair is quite curly, so they might think my hair is either crazy, or i just don't keep my hair well or something.

Then if they actually speak to me they might think of me as odd, since i'm really shy when talking to new people typically. i just get really nervous around new people.

And i stay that way until i trust then, which depending can take a while.

But i guess thats about all i can think of, i don't wear pony shirts, so no reactions there. I do wear different shirts i have from being in school band, so maybe they think i'm a band nerd, which i kinda am ;p.

Other then that idk ;p.

"Hey, that looks like a normal guy with completely normal attributes integrated into our 100% normal society."

Nobody know's I watch the show.  :]

perks:

I get FRIENDS + SOCIAL LIFE!

I get THE WHOLE COLLEGE EXPERIENCE!

I get THE POSSIBILITY OF HAVING A GIRLFRIEND!

I get TO NOT HAVE TO EXPLAIN IT TO OTHER PEOPLE!

I get ALL OF THE PERKS OF LIKING THE SHOW!

Disadvantages:

I can't HAVE REVEALED MERCH!

I can't TALK ABOUT SHOW IN PUBLIC!

I can't GET CAUGHT!

It's ingenious!

I get to build up my friendships with people until I think I can trust them enough with knowing.  Then, half of the time they're like "NO WAY!  I like the show too!"

Yes some people point and laugh at me because of it. From the 3 close friends that I have told that I watch it one of them said " You watch My Little Pony? Awesome!" I found out that she also likes pony's but does not watch the show. She collects the toys. :)

I've bought the comics and never gotten any weird looks from anyone in the shops. Then again i'm a rather big scary man. Pretty sure anyone who even dares look at me wrong knows there nose is going to be in the back of their face if I catch them doing it.

Once somebody kept turning round and at me on a bus all the time for no reason (wasn't a brony then btw) on this 4th turn i'd actually creeped right behind him and lurked over his shoulder.

"Can I help you with anything?"

He never turned again.

Well I live in the UK near Leeds and 3 stores there sell them. Easy. There actually anime and comic books stores but they do have the MLP comics shipped in.

One even had an official Twilight Sparkle plushie, and the sholder bags and shirts. XD

I've never had any problems wearing pony themed stuff . I've gotten plenty of positive reactions though. I think people are mostly neutral as they can be about it.

How on earth did you manage to locate a store that sells them?

I would check any comic book shop and if that fails, online sites. Also, in my experience no one cares that I read them. :)
