Apple Bloom vs. Angel was a hard choice for me but on this occasion I went with the bunny. 

 

And in a first for the World Cup, I voted against a Mane 6 pony by giving Scootaloo the nod over Pinkie Pie.

Scootaloo's match vs Celestia was the game of the tournament so far, truly intense stuff.

 

So pleased to see AJ trumping the 'Most Votes For' so far, I thought Zecora was going to be a tough opponent with a much closer outcome

Welcome back to another episode of BSPN, World Cup edition! Today, we are witnessing Fluttershy and Applebloom coasting to the Round of 16 with relative ease, leaving Angel and Octavia in the dust. Meanwhile, Pinkie Pie seems to have blast her party cannons on Scootaloo in what looks like an emphatic victory over the storied Scootaloo. Tonight however, we're witnessing the other Group D match, where Princess Celestia and Bulk Biceps are going to fight to keep their World Cup campaigns alive. A loss of either character, and their World Cup story will end with one game to spare. 

 

We're also heading off to the second games for Group E later tonight, as Derpy Hooves and Rarity both have a chance to qualify for the Round of 16 if they win against Spitfire and Sunset Shimmer respectively at their expense. Will we see more of the same for the characters, or will we be able to see an upset or two heading into tonight's matches?!

 

What do you think will happen tonight ? We'll then hand it over to @PE Brony who will lead us through the character anthems tonight!

 

*GOOD EVENING Fillies and Gentlecolts..........I'm Terry Bradhoof with the latest update on MLPF World Cup.   Early today, Sterling asked me, about the next set of match that will take place tonight.  We'll I can tell you this, Sterling, the match between Celestia and Bulk Biceps, it sounds like it will become a close match, for both are strong and will be the best one for tonight.  As for Derpy and Rarity, fans are gonna be ruthless on that match, as the lovable Derpy and the fabulous Rarity face off again, no pony other than Sunset Shimmer and the captain of the Wonderbolts, Spitfire.  Yet, speaking of Spitfire, we had an earlier discussion with Coach Thunder-Wing and he stated, "We are gonna win this next match, without a doubt.  I've been pushing Spitfire and her team to be the best and i am confident that we will win tonight".  I think tonight will be the best matches of the night, and less of an upset.  

 

Going to the latest matches, Fluttershy holds her ground in the lead, as Octavia falls behind.  Octy, with permission i would like to play a sad song b/c it doesn't look good at all.  

 

In lighter news, Applebloom remains at the top, leaving Angel bunny, hopping behind.......................*DAMN IT, AND HERE I THOUGHT THE BUNNY IS FASTER!!!!!!!* *clears throat*  Sorry about that folks, *squee*

Why would I be dissapointed in Scootaloo? Her matches against Celestia and Pinkie were AWESOME! I was hanging on the edge of my seat with that first one. Can't believe she managed to pull it off against the Princess.

 

 

And did you see how many votes she actually got against Pinkie? I think she might even be able to beat Fluttershy.

Well, yeah, she's probably going to be your first opponent in the knockout stages. Omigosh, that match will be SO intense. Stop giving me that stressed out look, squirt. I'll be watching every minute of it!

Rarity over Sunset. I think we all know that Sunset Shimmer is about to get fabu-lacerated by the Rarity crew (I hope that doesn't sound too hostile. Lacerated seemed like the only word that paired well with fabulous.). I don't like supporting most villains in any case, and Rarity is pretty great in he down right.

 

Picked Spitfire over Derpy. Like last time, I just don't care that much about Derpy. Don't care that much about Spitfire either, but she at least has more lines.
