Disney or Anime? *Poll*

I say Disney

I am not a huge fan of anime, heck, I dont even really like it

All it is is a show of animated people, I have no clue why its so popular  But then again Disney, some movies is sort of life anime, lol

Anyways, Disney is really awesome, and has amazing movies, shows, ect, ect

I love anime, but most of it today sucks butt because it relies on sex appeal WAY too much and lacks originality.. >-<
I like Disney as well. :3

I like Disney's atmosphere more, it's very enchanting and magical, and it's always been apart of my childhood. And the songs are really catchy!!!

Anime, easily. Don't get me wrong, I love Disney, but I seem to watch and pay more attention to anime. Plus, Disney bores me at times, not most of the time, but sometimes.

But really it's only natural for people in US to prefer Disney over Anime while it would probably be quite the opposite in Japan, me being neutral in Europe, I gotta say I prefer Anime because it is more mature. :3

I’m edging towards Disney, but I think on a whole I’d vote neither.

 

I’ve seen some anime and to be honest, I don’t like the drawing style, and the crazyness of some of it didn’t really appeal to me.

 

Disney I grew up with: and I still have a soft spot for some of the movies like the Rescuers and Aristocats, and I do like Pixar. But I do think a whole bunch of Disney classics are gooey and crappy.

 

I much prefer none Disney/animie, like MLP and the Simpsons.

I grew up on Disney, so it's very close to my heart. Most movies they create, I absolutely love. Especially the animated ones. Frozen is in my top 5 movie list!

 

Anime is nice too. It's nice how there's such a wide range of genres within anime, so you can always find stuff that you like. I appreciate the darker themes that these can get into... Makes me feel edgy (just kidding).

 

Disney productions and Anime are both good sources of entertainment. I'm more likely to watch a disney flick over an anime one though.

I'm going to have to go with Disney here, I think.

 

I lo~ove my Disney, and I've only recently been introduced to Anime, only watched a couple episodes of only two things (One of them a spoof).

 

Though I'd love to watch more and see where my opinion stands next year

I choose both, I don't compare the two and even if I did I'd choose both anyway. Feel like they're both great and I enjoy both equally as much.

Well, if I had to choose only one between them; I would go with anime. I love the visuals and character designs, and it's nice to see a lot of continuity between the episodes. 

 

However, I really like Disney, so I chose both. It's hard to choose between them.

Disney is interesting in it's own way, an animation team that doesn't fail to impress, a writing crew who attempts their best at a story and character development, and it's own atmosphere and concept makes it quite the studio.

 

However, lately, disney has been dull lately, and their interest has finally worn out on me, except for pixar if that counts.

 

Anime is where it's at as more and more have appeared with better expectations in terms of story and characters than what disney could pull off like Attack on titan.

 

However, anime sometimes bugs me due to their overuse in sex appeal, but I guess it's what works for them.

I think the best anime I've ever seen is a level above anything Disney's done, but Disney's done loads of amazing work that resonates with me as well. It's an odd comparison to make. Anime series' are capable of telling stories on a much larger scale, whereas with Disney I assume we're talking about only their movies. If we're comparing their best, I can't really decide between them.

I've never seen anything of interest from anime, and I dislike the art style. However, Disney is my thing!! Give me Lion King or Beauty and the Beast over Sailor Moon or whatever its called any day!

I have to lean more towards anime.....But that's because there are so many studios creating so many diverse anime.

Disney is just one animation studio and thus their movies and creations do not come close to what anime has in terms of numbers, let alone diversity.

But there is one animation that tips the scales.....

I used to like anime, but nowadays, it doesn't seem like it appeals me anymore. It does to a lot of my friends but meh. I really don't like the style of most anime series today. My sister told me to watch SNK though. I did watch it a bit, it was all right. Nothing really that amazing for me. 

 

I'd pick Disney because well, it's Disney! My childhood and the fact that they made Frozen~ :3

I do love both. But between the two, I'd pick anime. Disney's animated films are classics though, and credit should be given to them. And Pixar's recent films are great too.

 

But overall, I'm just more of an anime guy. Madoka and Neon Genesis Evangelion are fantastic pieces of art. For fun little shows, there's Minami-ke and Sora no Otoshimono. And you've got the shows for little kids covered too.

 

Ironically enough, Japanese animators looked to Disney films for inspiration. So without Disney, we wouldn't have anime. Just a little food for thought.

Kinda of a hard choice, but I'll go with Anime. Most of my nostalgic memories involve me watching DBZ or Inuyasha. I didn't really watch that many Disney animations as a kid, unfortunately.
