mega thread Your favourite pony and why?

I like Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle the most. If I tried to describe why, we'd be here all day, but to sum it up Rainbow Dash is a mmultifaceted and very interesting character to explore and fits under one of my favorite character archetypes, while I relate the most to Twilight Sparkle.

 

For secondary, I chose Scootaloo for, funnily enough, much the same reason I chose her hero.

My favorite ponu is, and will always be, Rarity!

She is a truly elegant, gorgeous and special creature, and not only in the physical sense. She is loveable and generous, and even though she may sometimes loose focus of the right path, she will always go to the greatest lengths to make up for it. And in my opinion even farther than the rest of the mane6.

 

Yes, she has her flaws, as every realistic and good character has, but these flaws are always more than counterbalanced by her many virtues. For generosity is something that Rarity really lives by.

She is a sweet, friendly and selfless pony. She often has put her own interests behind those of others. Sacrificed her time, energy, money, and wellbeing for her friends. She really treats strangers like a friend, like she did with Twi in the very first episode, for example.

She really gives away things precious to her, for the things she gives as gifts are the things she desires herself, beauty and recognition.

She really is willing to do what she hates, and forsake what she loves, for others.

 

It would be so easy for her to hoard her beauty, her work, her art, her dresses and beauty secrets, but she shares...

 

Things that are some of the most important things for her, she shares with everypony, often even without payment.

 

She is a lovely little fashionista. Sweet as sugar. Gorgeous like a dream. Strong-willed and smart. Talented and creative. Forgiving and selfless.

 

That and many more are the reasons i love her so much.

It's hard to pick one among the Mane 6 because I feel like each of them have their own endearing character that means a lot to me buuuut, I chose Fluttershy because i see more similarities with her.

My favourites have altered back and forth over time (I hate deciding). I posted here a while ago, but here are my finalised favourites (for now   )

 

 Fluttershy (the 'real me'), I love her because I can identify with her on just about everything (for better and for worse ). Applejack is awesome too, her and Fluttershy are my joint favourite FiM ponies. Fluttershy probably just edges it <3

I mentioned before that Applejack was my favorite. That has changed. Rarity is my fav. Applejack is still Best Pone and Spike is still my favorite character of them all.

It's Pinkie Pie, bc she always makes me smile and brightens up my day.    But I love Twilight Sparkle as well bc I'd see myself as a mix between these two. I guess when I'm at a party, or with more than 1 person, I'm the Pinkie Pie.. But when I'm alone with someone, I'm great at giving advice and be a listening ear to someone. I can also really relate to the -being in control- trait Twilight has. 
I really feel like I'm the party animal, the one who makes everyone laugh, the control freak, and the friendship and relationship saver all in one. :')

I'm not gonna lie, I honestly can't choose a favorite pony out of the main 6. All of the main ponies (this goes for secondary and tertiary, too) are spectacularly well-developed and it would be a crime to put ranks on them! So, I guess my answer would be all?

My favorite secondary character is without question, Sunset Shimmer. The amount of character development she have in Rainbow Rocks is amazing and I immediately came to like her after watching RR

Even this is really hard too! How could I choose from my top 3 (AJ, Rarity, Sunset Shimmer)? They're all so wonderful in their own unique ways.

 

In order of who I connect with most:

1. Applejack

2. Rarity

3. Sunset Shimmer

 

but there's really only a hair's breadth between each.

Twilight Sparkle definitely, second would probably be Fluttershy, cause I act like Twilight sometimes and Fluttershy sometimes.

I like for 2 reasons:

 

1) She just seems to click for me, even though we practically aren't the same

2) Even though I haven't seen EG or Rainbow Rocks, I have heard and seen her play drums. Since I like to play them, she grew somewhat closer to me. How bout them "Drum-mares" though!
