There are 3 ways to look at your favourite pony - there's the one you feel yourself to be, there's the one you would like to be, and there's the one you'd like to hang out with and have a couple of beers with.

 

I went for the 3rd interpretation in choosing Applejack as my favourite. She's be good fun in the bar in the evening

It's a three way tie for me. Pinkie Pie, Applejack, & Fluttershy. They keep on rotating as my favorite. But currently it's Applejack.

I love Derpy Hooves the most (or Ditzy Doo, if you prefer). I can't pick a favorite out of the mane six, because it changes so often. Right now it's Applejack, and before that, I was on a Pinkie Pie kick.

Rarity of course! Who else could it be? She's stylish, proper, generous, and even though she's lady-like she can handle herself in a sticky situation. Also, I like her expressions like when she gets excited, angry, or whiney.

 

My second favorite (first before I changed to Rarity) is Fluttershy. She's just so sweet and kind. What's not to love about her? (besides the fact that she's weak and scared of her own shadow)

I have the Mane 6 listed, from most liked to least preferable:

 

1) Fluttershy

2) Twilight Sparkle

3) Rarity

4) Pinkie Pie

5/6) Rainbow Dash/Applejack (the two are interchangeable for me)

 

I like all of them for their own quirks and personality, but the top three appeal more to me than the rest. My favorite pony outside of the mane six is either Big Macintosh (Eeeeyup), Luna, or Trollestia (ahem, Princess Celestia).

 

Favorite non-pony character would be Discord. That guy was so badass, and LOVED his voice. <3

It is a hard choice for me. It is a pretty close tie between Twilight and Fluttershy, but if I have to pick one, I guess Fluttershy. My favorite background ponies are Derpy/Ditzy and Lyra.

Reason being is that she controls the night, something that I love, mainly because I'm an astrophysics major, and love to stargaze, especially in the extremely dark, southern Utah skies.
