Season 4 finale theory

I have a theory for the end of Season 4. All of the mane six except Twilight have gotten their keys rainbow-glowing object, and the next three episodes before the finale don't focus primarily on the alicorn (Trade Ya is about the all of the mane six, Inspiration Manifestation is about Rarity and Spike (who obviously wouldn't get a key because there are only six locks in the harmony box), and Equestria Games is...duh, about the Equestria Games - and it also is a Spike-featuring episode). Unless Trade Ya is for some reason the episode where Twilight will get her key, the Season 4 finale is undoubtedly it. Them.

*clears throat* My point? I HAVE A THEORY. I had one for Season 3's finale and it came true. I have a little less information about Twilight's Kingdom 1 & 2, but I feel my theory might have some grounding.

Rarity was the first pony to get her rainbow glowing...thing; she got it (all the way back in Ep. 8) because she wasn't fulfilling her role of generosity. She wasn't representing her Element of Harmony properly! Rainbow Dash got her thing next, in Ep. 10, Rainbow Falls; Pinkie Pie got hers in Ep. 12, Pinkie Pride; then Fluttershy hers in Ep. 16, It Ain't Easy Being Breezies; and lastly, Applejack in Ep. 20, Leap of Faith got that single golden bit.

(By the way, did anypony notice that in Leap of Faith, the water dish Granny Smith was going to dive into was the rainbow colors? Same goes for Pinkie Pride, where the cupcake Miss Pie handed the surgeon was those colors. I don't remember if there was anything in the other episodes, but regardless of what I've forgotten or just haven't noticed, IT CANNOT BE A COINCIDENCE. This is totally the theme of Season 4, hooves down!)

We saw the diagram in Twilight Time; we know that that studious princess has been studying that harmony box. But how would she get her key? (I was wondering this last night.) Her Element is magic; that isn't easy to misrepresent!

And then I had the idea.

And here is my theory. (Its components are in no particular order.)

In Twilight's Kingdom, Twilight will use her magic in the wrong way (or for the wrong thing), and that's why Celestia chooses Discord over her. At some point, Discord will take Twilight's wings and magic away from her, rendering her an earth pony. The other three princesses will transfer their magic into her "in hopes of saving Equestria" (as the Zap2it description of Part 2 says), and in the process she'll get the last key, and all the objects will transform into keys. The harmony box will be unlocked.

Deeper sub-musing: When the harmony box is unlocked, a shocking SEVENTH KEY is inside. The key goes to what will be Twilight Sparkle's castle.

it's Rainbow Power, but a key is produced in the mane six's unleashing of the Rainbow Power that goes to Twilight Sparkle's castle, which grows out of the Tree of Harmony like that DVD cover.

*nods briskly* So, that is my theory for the finale of Season 4. Feel free to debate it! And if I am disproved on any accounts, I will edit this post posthaste. *puns are yays*

This is a hypothesis, not a theory.  /TechnicalityNitpick

In Twilight's Kingdom, Twilight will use her magic in the wrong way (or for the wrong thing), and that's why Celestia chooses Discord over her.

Not a bad idea, but I always go a little berserk when people assert that Twilight's technical magic is equivalent to the magic of friendship.  That's why I think it's more likely that "Trade Ya" is really Twilight's key episode.

If this were true though, it might establish a stronger connection between friendship and the literal magic.

I think the dress covers in "Rarity Takes Manehattan" count:

Couldn't find anything for "Rainbow Falls" though and I don't have time to look up for the other one.

I think inside the harmony box will be new and improved Elements of Harmony with Rainbow Power, because the Mane 6 were unselfish enough to give back their power the tree will reward them back with new and improved powerful items.
