It would be nice if one of the closing actions of the first episode is have a seed planting ceremony in the spot where the old tree stood, maybe even one of its own seeds if there were any left on the branches that didn't get destroyed?

 

I always thought that library would become a national monument in Equestria since their world's savior spent some of her most important time there. Alas, it is not to be.... Although, I suppose if the writers really wanted to they could simply have Discord restore it or subject somepony to the Inspiration Manifestestion; but that seems cheap. And if it was Discord doing the restoration he'd probably throw in a few surprises for whoever its new resident is.

 

Back to a more serious note again, it is sad that there are likely many irreplaceable books that are now lost forever. Also Spike's bed is destroyed. He's had that since he was a baby (a real baby that is). Time to grow up, Spike....

RIP, to her awesome Library. Something tells me, now most of the books will be taken from the Princesses old Castle(The one in Castle-Mania) and will be stored in Twilight's new Castle. But, here's a question, she had enough time to grab Owliwicious(SP?) Did she not have enough time to grab maybe a couple of her favorites along with him?

I always love that library. Saddened to see it destroyed, good to see twilight avenged it. True all of daring do books were in there which idk how rainbow dash will feel. I agree with everyone for its meaning that one chapter ends another begins, I'll be glad if there is a library in twilights new castle with new books maybe even daring doo books!!

Because of the elements of the final so many possibilities have been opened up for next season. We now have a real "kick ass" hero, places for the rest to collect and plan, romance possibilities for Discord, there is so much that can happen now, it bogles the mind. Really ponies, you lack imagination to see what might be. Think of the best parts of this season, now look at what they can do with next season. It will be fun xD

Also, I hadn't really thought to be sad about it until I started reading everyone's sentimental accounts of all the history that took place there. And now I am sad about it. Thanks for that.

There's the bowling alley, that's the corner store, round the corner's the best restaurant in town and that up there is the CRYSTAL PALACE OF ALICORN PRINCESS TWILIGHT SPARKLE.

   Farewell Ponyville library, you will be missed, it comes into focus that nothing lasts forever, for we do take for granted is the peace or our dwellings, I would rather celebrate the life the library had, instead of its end, from season one the library had an important role to play, but none more to Twilight Sparkle, who's life was books and discovery, nevertheless she got a new home, perhaps with new books, this hits home to me too, I have earned so much capital from my business, I can afford to move, and I have to admit it feels rather somber to leave behind the old life, and start a new existence, so I wish the best for Twilight Sparkle, and hope there would be a new library for Ponyville, try to ruminate on the significance the library once played.

When the library was destroyed I pretty much had the same look on my face as Twilight did like "WOW!" As soon as the library was blasted I knew they would have Twilight live somewhere else but I thought they were going to transform Celestia and Luna's old castle rather than having an entirely new castle. I have to wonder, where will the Ponyvile citizens get their library books now? The castle?

It physically hurt me to see Golden Oaks Library be destroyed by that.

It wasn't just Twilight's home for the last four years. So many scenes began and ended there. Memories of seasons past were contained in that library. And now it's... gone. Bam. Just like that.

What happened to her library really sucks but look on the bright side: 1. she has a new place that can store books and 2. it's not as bad as when the Library Of Alexandria was destroyed.
