Besides Fluttershy, who should Discord be paired with more often?

Since it's apparent that Discord and Fluttershy has become great friends since KCaFO, who would you like to see Discord, to put it simply, be paired with in an episode?

 

Personally, I'm mostly interested in seeing him in an episode with Applejack and/or Rainbow Dash, since I get the feeling that they seem to have the biggest issues with him(though I'm not sure how much the S4 finale affects this, if it affected it)

I feel like Pinkie and Discord have a lot of parallels in their 'chaos and humor' motifs, and that they were only kept apart by distrust from their previous encounters, etc. I think that with a bit of exploration, it would be a really fun and dynamic duo.

Either of the royal sisters. It could provide a lot more backstory to why he took over the land of talking horses, and maybe even a little of the sister's own lineage and history with discord pre-deus ex machina dethroning.

Although if we were to pair him with mane 6, I'd have to go with Twilight. Obviously, he tends to know more about her and her future than Celestia sometimes. Plus, let's face it, I love how he's always making fun out of "Princess Twilight Sparkle". I doubt he'd resign from this lil' piece of fun just like that.

I actually don't think Discord should go with any of them. He doesn't look like the kind who would be in to romance. In fact, here's probably the most romantic thing he would do to any of them.

The writers could do a really good episode about Pinkie Pie and Discord bringing havoc to Ponyville.. I could see Dave Polsky writing it.

 

But yea.. they would make a fun, crazy duo.. but please nothing even close to romance like with Discord/Fluttershy.. those two are a better pair romantically.

Discord seems to be a little annoyed by Pinkie too, even though she's his favorite element. Remember when he tricked Pinkie to chase the balloon, when she wanted to take of him him while he was sick?

Imagination works in ponderous ways. Who knows? Though I do agree with the rainbow dash theory there. Aj however could be a completely different story

AJ would be the best match. The element of Honesty is a good counter to Discord's half truth trickery.

 

It's also an opportunity to get Applejack gain some character development outside of the farm/family setup she has been stuck in.

 

Get those two lost on an island or something.
