Can you blame him? Creating chaos is basically for him the same thing as flying is for Rainbow Dash. No matter how much he liked Fluttershy the idea of being free and having a buddy to cherish it was much more rewarding than just friendship. Everyone of you would do the same in his place.

This. It's hard for me to forgive someone completely and get over it altogether sometimes, so I normally take a small/long break from them, depending on the situation.

 

I'd forgive Discord if he was really sorry about what he did, and I guess he was since he did what he could to help the mane 6 in that last episode (at least, I would think his help wasn't just go get back at Tirek)., not to mention he admit that his actions were wrong.

Even though the Mane Six, excluding Fluttershy, said they were friends, they didn't act like it. He tested this in Three's a Crowd to see if Twilight was a true friend. Then, when Tirek offered freedom, he saw his opportunity. When he was betrayed, he realizes that having friends that dislike you is better than someone who says they are your friend, then uses you. Also, Discord probably knew about the keys, and was helping Twilight to get hers.

Discord deserves forgiveness. The Mane 6 treated him like a nuisance rather than a friend, apart from Fluttershy, and it's shown in multiple episodes that they dislike and distrust him. Also, to be their friend, he had to go against his nature to cause complete and utter chaos. He saw Tirek as the complete package: a friend, and a companion to cause mayhem with. I believe this because he seemed completely surprised when Tirek betrayed him. Discord's situation was pretty simple, if you think about it. He was manipulated.

I would not forgive Discord, though probably after a few days or weeks I would forgive him. 

In the meantime, between those days, I would tell Discord 5 words: "You will Rest In Peace"

I think he was truely sorry for what he did.  He had spent so much time doing what he wanted and he slipped when Triek offered him power.  I think after Triek turned against him he realized the gravity of what he had done.  He was betrayed by someone and he realized how much he must have hurt the mane 6.
