    I'm not sure any castle would fit in with Ponyville, but it would be interesting to see how her castle fits in with the other three: Canterlot, Royal Sisters, and the Crystal Empire. I'd be interested in knowing why the artists did it like that, but my guess is they had to match the playset.

    One of the analysts, Digi I think, made the point that the treehouse was so iconic and so well done that the castle being less than amazing was a missed opportunity. Although we've not seen the whole inside it wasn't very homey and didn't reflect Twilight even as a princess. Plus it wasn't as beautiful or regal as the other castles. I agree that it was a miss, but hopefully it will be better as she makes it her own.

    I have the feeling that Twilight's Kingdom is more metaphysical than physical and she won't be ruling as the other Princesses do.

    Agreed. If the writers had a better way to exacute a scene they would have done so. Not to say you can't dislike what they did, but I'm guessing they think they hit it out of the park.

    At some point he did mess things up, but we have no evidence that the Unicorns giving up their duty had anything to do with Discord. The exact events are murky. Celestia and Luna were already princesses when Diacord appeared.

    I agree! If you except the Royal Sisters absence from Hearth's Warming Eve as significant and the fact that Unicorns once raised the sun and moon, but stopped suddenly, and seemingly without a good reason; I've always wondered if an event occurred that allowed two Unicorn sisters to find their special destiny. :-)

    I don't see Mayor Mare's position changing and it's likely that Canterlot has it's own mayor too. The other issue is exactly what Twilight's Kingdom will encompass. Is it Ponyville or as the Princess of Friendship is her kingdom the whole planet? A lot of unknowns.

    The pony of shadows at the end of Castle Mane-ia was just done in homage to Scooby Doo according to the writer. The fang also meant nothing.

    They were going for a King Arthur and Knights of the Round Table vibe for sure and it will be interesting to see how the castle is used.

    I think it was the only thing she could think of and like with Luke Skywalker doing the opposite thing was required. He was supposed to kill Vader but chose the better way of not killing his father. Likewise Twilight was supposed to defeat Tirek but to win she had to first give in.

    If what I read was a real review (somebody questioned it, not sure why) the solution won't be to blast the baddies exactly. A bit more to it than that. As I've said I'm pleased with the outcome, but everybody will have to judge it themselves.

    So far I haven't enjoyed, or have strong feelings for any song this season, except for the preview one from the finale.

    The writers have never stuck to the premise that she's the town librarian and until Twilight Time it was never used as a place to learn. When we say "library" I think it's more correct to think of it as simply a home library. As was said already we only ever see Twilight and her friends there.

    This ^^^^^^ There is a difference between giving Twilight their magic and giving their lives. I don't see the transfer being a permanent thing and done for specific reason.

    Because the writer picked their names out of a hat. ;-) The comment, although interesting, sorta came and went so quickly we're not given any context or background. Since we have zero supporting information everybody and anybody could have a viable theory. Mine is that Twilight asked Luna and Cadence herself and didn't want to admit to Celestia she needed help.

    The writer in Manehatten explained his thoughts in an interview as to why no pony cared she was a princess. It boils down to ponies their not caring who you are in classic NYC style and her not doing anything. What have you done for me lately. He also thought it would be in poor taste to pull rank for her friends. In Trade Ya she was acting as a princess,!and so was treated as such, even though she fought it. Would I like more princess stuff? Of course. Do I agree with the writers? No, but I do think they have a reason for taking it slow and it's not the fans, or them not believing in her status. They really think it's something to be used sparingly.
