I like the name Scarlett, if you have seen or read Gone with the Wind, the woman is very out standing! Also shes very cute and the smile is nice but keeps something hidden maybe from the world?

I have a few Alicorns in the works but one is a Druid who lost much of his magic after a fight and can do only small spells. Just I think if the over power thing and love of canon but any OC should be given flaws and depth and traits to make them stand, and also room to grow if any thing, not just Alicorns.

Perhaps gems have a amount of natural magic in them and dragons need to eat them for their own energies and such like we see with Spike's fire and such, which might explain why they also hoarded gold and such things in their caves.

I find her amusing and all, and as background pony you can do a lot with her fanfic wise in writing which is kinda nice to have that fun to explore her a bit more indepth. -

I think Derpy is well loved and by many a fan. Personally shes one of my fav ponies to read fanfics about long as they give her a bit of depth. Also the whole Dr. Hooves thing is jjjuuusst way to cute not to freaking love! Also we can also perhaps conceive that she also a single mother when it comes to her daughter which well, you dont see that to much in the show.

Depends, if i get bored than watch random things. Sometimes I just hit like 10 eps in one setting but its only when I can't sleep and have no anime to watch or anything else to do.

I think thats the best wording I've seen on this thread. Mostly those two just place holders/bullies in the show to give the CMC a hard time but learn in a lessons in life which will bring them closer to their true selves and cutie marks as they grow up. Not much depth if you over look at them... -
How about a good hoof shake and a nice talk to get to know the other before the hugs and the touching start and the random brohoof kicks up! I mean what if the brohoof likes misses and you end up hitting a poor pony....
