    Welcome Freeze-Frame! Always happy to see a fellow Rush (and Boston) fan. If you had to pick whats your favorite Rush song? I'd have to go with 2112 as it was the song that got me into Rush, and the fact that it is an epic song Enjoy the forums!

    Yes, but to an extent. I prefer games with great stories and Rockstar defiantly has a few great stories. TPAM knows how to drive stick(Manual)

    Welcome to the Herd! Glad to see the show has been a positive for you in life. I just have to ask who your favorite driver is? I use to follow the sport but got away from it in the last couple of years, I was always a Martin fan growing up. Feel free to add me on Xbox (COMANDERSHEPRD), don't play COD but I do play GTA on 360 and Forza on ONE. See ya around!

    I saw that the "Bronies" documentary was on Netflix and sat down and watched that, although the cons were not their main focus they did show a lot of con footage. Being fairly new to the fandom (Around 8 months) the only fan stuff I knew about was the art, and more recently I discovered fimfiction, but I didn't know how big the music scene was. After doing some research with the info everyone has provided I feel I have a better concept of what goes on at a con and what to expect at one. Back on topic - For those that have gone to a con, did you go alone or with friends? If you rented a hotel room, did you split it with others (Friends you went with or people from forums)? For those of us that have never done this before, how did you handle sharing the room (Especially if you never met the person face to face)? How the process go for getting your badges? Sorry for all the questions, I guess I really want to go but want to make sure I know what I'm doing and who better to ask then people who have gone through these situations before. Thanks!

    I was looking on their forums to try and setup a possible room share but the forums there are kind of dead (Might be jumping on this a little early) Anyone else know of any good places to get info/set stuff up for Bronycon, besides here?

    I live in Wisconsin so kind of in between EFNW and Bronycon. I haven't looked for smaller venues yet, will have to see if there is anything in the central part of the US. As for all of the other response's, thanks for all the great info and personal experiences!

    That pretty cool, which Batmobile was it? Always good to get a perspective from someone who has worked/gone to some of these events. That is good to know as I would be interested in volunteering some day after I've gone to a few cons to get a feel for them. I'm really thinking about going to EFNW this year, just have to look at scheduling. I hear what you are saying about planning early, I was looking at hotels for Bronycon and it looks like the reserved spots are gone already. As for the cringeworthyness (That's not a word!) I kind of expected that would be the case with most cons in general but as you said it is always better with a group of people rather than by yourself. Will have to look around on the forums and find some people that are going. It's a con so i don't see why not.

    So I have been thinking of going to a convention this year but have never attended any type of convention. I guess I'm looking for some input on what it is like to go to one and what I should expect. I was looking at BronyCon or Everfree Northwest ( Maybe both ), also it would be helpful knowing what to plan for. On a side note if you did go, were there groups you joined that you met up with or did you just meet up with friends from the forum/IRL?

    I relax by listening to music, loudly. Usually a mix just about anything(From Floyd to Muse to Daft Punk), except country. I guess I just got tired of hearing it as it is always on (I live in Wisconsin).

    I have to agree with the Rarity VS. Crab one, but one I just don't get are the torture ones. Yes I know about "Cupcakes" but I still think it is strange, just saying.
