I don't really have a singular favourite; I have favourites, ones I like more than others, for different reasons: - I like Fluttershy because she is near identical to my older sister and heavily resembles my mum, so her character feels very familiar to me. - I like Twilight because her obsession with method resembles my Dad, whilst her obsession with knowledge resembles my own (though there is little method to what I do, this list is the extent of it really). - I like Discord because his lack of order and struggle to understand the emotion of others resembles mine. - I like Luna purely because I like the night more than the day. - I like Celestia because her sense of humour (tricking Mr. Cake into thinking she finished her tea, inviting Discord to the Gala because she thought the Chaos he would cause would make it enjoyable, etc.) resembles my sense of humour. - I like Starlight because I can relate to her bitterness over her past, and how in "No Second Prances" she can struggle to comprehend how her actions may upset or annoy others (making Big Mac speak using magic, insta-baking a cake for Mrs. Cake (I still don't understand why Mrs. Cake was annoyed by this), etc.). And there you go, you got me to open up about myself a bit. That's rare.

Engineers has come out for PC, and the groundworks for it have been laid on Xbox One, meaning it will already be part of Horizons for us. Apparently they're going to do a few tweaks to the game in an upcoming patch, so I'll have to wait until then to see whether or not this combat issue is resolved, and whether or not I essentially have to learn to fly again. Saying that, mining is quite relaxing and when Horizons comes out all I'm going to be doing is landing on planets, so it doesn't really make a difference.

What would you do if your favorite pony is your student?

If my sources are correct, Horizons will be on Xbox One on 3rd June. On a side note the 1.6 update has been both good and bad, the additions of new weapons, mining commodities, upgraded UI's, revamped mining, and prep for Horizons are all great, but the upgraded NPC AI? Well it's great that they aren't idiots anymore but now combat-centred means of income are a lot harder as the AI are capable of flying their ships scarily effectively. Because of that I've temporarily switched to mining until further notice.

Personal Flaws About Yourself?
FluffyGoat13 replied to Moved to Elsewhere's topic in General Discussion
I'm lazy af. I'm very sarcastic. I'm very critcal. I'm a bit too honest at times. I'm not good at emotion/my emotions are under developed (I can only really do angry, excited, passive or sad) and I struggle to understand other people's. I rarely leave the house of my own accord; as Richard Ayoade once said "I need a really compelling reason to leave my house; I really like being in my house." -
I do quite a bit: Board game. Video game. Archery. Browse memes. Read stories. Read about things that I want to know more about. Analyse data. Think (I can legitimately go for hours in just raw thought coming up with ideas and theories (why I analyse data)). Dude, I love board gaming. Now that more people are beginning to get into it, it's even better.

general How do you feel about the rise of computers?
FluffyGoat13 replied to Luna 831's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, we do need to work on updating the global economy, and making it eco-friendly in the process. We also need to stop using Uranium power plants in favour of thorium ones, but that's for slightly different reasons. The problem is funding and getting these things through the arbitrary and broken bureaucracy of the world. It's also a shame that people can't get used to the notion that AI have the same potential to be 'good' or 'bad' as you or I. -
movies/tv starwars do you like the jedi or sith more ?

Hmm...fair point. I hadn't considered that. -

FluffyGoat13 replied to Luna 831's topic in Media Discussion
Well, no, not really. Although I like your thinking, green in the old Jedi order was traditionally used by Jedi Consulars; the diplomats. Obviously they weren't just limited to green, blue, and red (red being usually only used by dark Jedi, Sith or not, because it usually required dark side synthesis to acquire a red matrix crystal) with there being Jedi with yellow and purple sabers, green and blue being the traditional colours. Yoda had a green saber, and he was far from neutral. -

I used to care 6-7 years ago. Then there were bullies. Now I don't care. -
movies/tv starwars do you like the jedi or sith more ?
FluffyGoat13 replied to Luna 831's topic in Media Discussion
Neither. Why? The Sith are obviously not good guys, wanting to dominate the entire galaxy and all that, though they do have the coolest stuff. But the Jedi? They're not good either. "But the story portrays them as good guys, so they must be the good guys!" I hear you cry. Well they aren't. For starters their idea of balance isn't balance at all. They want to remove the presence of the dark side and leave only the light. That's not balance. Balance is an equal distribution of the two. People also tend to forget that the Jedi are no strangers to taking innocent lives: with them leading the Republic slaughter on Korriban during the days of the Old Republic; and neglecting and unjustly persecuting the Kaleesh when they were fighting off their slavers with no Republic support because the Kaleesh were not members of the Senate, but their slavers were (General Greivous being of the Kaleesh, with this being the reason why he hated the Jedi). "So who do you side with?" I hear you ask. I am a Grey Jedi, true bringer of balance for I acknowledge the existence and usefulness of emotion and the Dark Side, yet I have no wish to dominate the galaxy, with a notable example of a Grey Jedi being Luke Skywalker, as in Return of the Jedi he force chokes a Gamorrean Guard, expresses high levels of arrogance when talking to Jabba and gives in to anger and hate when fighting the Emperor and Darth Vader, going as far as attempting to strike the Emperor down in anger, yet still managing to promote balance to the force. -
Not really, no. It's mainly because the people who have given me flak over it either do it jokingly, or get bored when I just shrug it off. Although I have had this one girl who heard some of my friends joking about it come up to me and ask "Are you really a brony?" and when I told her I was she immediately went "Oh my god! You guys are, like, legends of the internet!" I was unsure on how to respond to that.
-
Although I've been a brony since 2013, I've seen it grow from the beginning, from all sides (yeah I was one of those prats during the early flamewars) and I can honestly say..... I don't care. I really don't, I consider these days to be just as good as the start, yes we may have slowed down with the production of fan material, either by Hasbro's orders or through people losing touch with the show, but we're still here, and that's good. Not only have we established ourselves as a fandom that is here to stay and not just a short fad that happened and then vanished, but we've also stopped pissing people off by flooding their feeds and favourite sites with ponies. We've been able to see the show adapt and develop from it's humble beginnings at Season 1 to what it is today.

Well you see, I don't have a singular favourite of the Mane 6+3 it's sort of a weird tie between Fluttershy and Twilight. So if I were to go with Fluttershy then I'd think we'd get along just fine because she's very similar to my older sister, who considers me one of her best friends. If I were to go with Twilight then I'd think we'd be able to get along very well, because we both share a love for knowledge, we're both good problem solvers, some people consider me as a good leader (though I do not) and we've both had our fair share of insanity. The key difference between me and Twi is that whilst she is an ordered, meticulous, active planner I'm a disorganised, calm, relaxed, spontaneous blob of procrastination. Despite that, I'd still imagine us getting on absolutely fine, with her organising me, and me teaching the serenity of not doing anything.

FluffyGoat13 replied to Luna 831's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, which is why that will be the single hardest part of this, especially since the media has created a negative stigma towards AI already. -
general How do you feel about the rise of computers?
FluffyGoat13 replied to Luna 831's topic in General Discussion
I see no need to fear the machine, sure they may take jobs, but lets put it this way; a Utopian society requires no sentients working in order to function, so the use of near-sentient machines would be integral to this; and true AI could help us get there by helping iron out any (petty) issues mankind exhibits, and then they could join us in the fun. Alternatively we may figure out a way of integrating our own consciousness into machines, which would be pretty cool. Or they could wipe us out, but I reckon that would only happen if people treated AI as sub-human rather than equals. -

My favourite flag? For a real one it has to be Estonia (I just like it): Then there's these two not real ones:
