  1. I routinely dream about death and destruction because I'm apparently kind of fucked up, I'm a straight white guy who is entirely comfortable with himself, and if I know I'm dreaming, which has happened a few times, I stop fearing anything. My dreams, my rules. Bring it.
  2. Definitely Pokemon. It's still one of my most active fandoms and I still play every new gen when it comes out, though I'm not a big fan of the route they're taking with the latest games.
  3. Equestria Girls: 5/10 Sunset Shimmer had great potential as a villain, but she was a cardboard cutout, and a lot of the plot was incredibly flimsy, especially the shoehorned romance that every hgih school setting seems to be required by law to have. The reason my score isn't lower is because I genuinely liked the music in it and I didn't hate watching it. Rainbow Rocks: 8/10 I love Rainbow Rocks. Sunset went from terrible villain to one of my absolute favorite characters in this movie, plus it launched my new favorite ship, SunLight. The music was great, and especially the animation on the Dazzling songs was excellent. It doesn't get a perfect score, however, because the relationship between music and Equestrian magic is never once explained in the movie, and because the Hate Plague villains are a bit too much of a staple of the franchise as a whole, much as I like the Sirens as villains. Friendship Games: 7/10 Good movie, though not as good as Rainbow Rocks. I like that this time, the plot is something smaller in scale than world domination, despite the mishaps with Sci-Twi's magic seeker device. Sunset is developed well as a character and I liked the mirroring between the climax of the first movie and the climax of this one, when Sunset confronts Midnight Sparkle. The music is once again excellent, especially the final part of Unleash the Magic. I do think it's too bad they didn't use the deleted scenes, where Twilight comes over from Equestria and she and Sunset discuss her situation, and where What More Is Out There is a duet between Sunset and Sci-Twi. Legend of Everfree: 6/10 I was underwhelmed, really. Them getting magical powers, fine, but I don't think it was handled as well as it could have been. The music wasn't as good as it was in the earlier movies, either, though by no means bad. Gloriosa wasn't the most interesting villain, and I wasn't really a fan of the attempts at humor in this one. I still think it was a better movie than the first one, though not at the level of the other two, hence the score.
  4. Definitely procrastination. I don't really start anything on time, and I only finish things on time when I know I have to. Otherwise, to paraphrase Douglas Adams, I like the whooshing sound deadlines make as they go by.
  5. I'm missing the Winged Hussars here, man! But yeah, Sabaton is great to learn about history. I personally like to read up on the history of large conflicts on, of all places, TV Tropes. They have very large pages on at least World Wars I and II, and a number of other ones. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/UsefulNotes/WorldWarI https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/UsefulNotes/WorldWarII Definitely worth checking out.
  6. Not much, really. Currently, my workout is Lat pull, 39kg 2 x 25 reps Chest press 32kg 2 x 25 reps Seated row 32kg 2 x 25reps Pec fly 39kg 2 x 25 reps Rear delt 37kg 2 x 25 reps Rotary torso 44kg 4 x 25 reps (2 x 25 left, 2 x 25 right) Back extension 54,5kg 2 x 25 reps Ab bench 3 x 50 crunches Calf extension 41,5kg 2 x 25 reps Leg press 64kg 2 x 25 reps For now, Seated leg curl 52kg 2 x 25 reps, Seated leg extension 25kg 1 x 20 reps right leg only, to aid recovery of my right leg. The above is all done twice a week. Twice a week, various cardio stuff, depending on the day, usually 30 mins or 45 mins of constant exercise because I despise interval training despite knowing how effective it is. Soon I'm switching to three sets of everything again, but that's a bit too much for now. I do all of this solely to help me in fencing training and because I like to have some muscle definition. I'm not looking for raw power, which is why I don't really use high weight anywhere, but I don't consider myself to be weak, or anything.
  7. I don't particularly care what game journalists say in reviews, much like I don't care about movie or music reviews either. Whatever score they come up with isn't likely to reflect my own anyway, and when I do read reviews for games it's mostly to see if they mention anything that might be of interest to me, mechanics-wise. In those cases I read it more to find out more about the game itself than to have a value attached to it.
  8. Silent Hill 2 is scary, Silent Hill 4 was also quite creepy, but the one that is the scariest for me is probably the first Manhunt, when played with an Xbox headset. Using that, the director, Starkweather, is literally talking in your ear while he orders you to murder the gang members, and you can use the mic to attract the hunters to you...and you have to be careful not to do it accidentally. Nothing's quite so tense as hiding in the shadows while two masked madmen with sickles are standing almost on top of you.
  9. Several 1/10's in Math and Physics, and once in English because despite my translations being correct, they weren't the exact ones from our textbook and thus they were wrong.
  10. Not a chance. I have a great life here and I don't want to give it up. I don't even like going out of the country for more than a few days, let alone move to a whole other dimension.
  11. Ignore it entirely. I've got better things to do than be bothered about someone liking my choice of shows. If the bullying would get physical, for whatever reason, I hit back. I doubt that'll happen, though. I've never been bullied for it, and being 28 sort of puts me beyond the age bracket where people care what I watch.
  12. I've seen the trailer, but 30 seconds of mountains really isn't enough to get me hyped for it yet. I don't really mind the reusing of voice actors all that much, but fixing the many, many stability issues and graphical bugs would be most welcome. I also hope they won't draw too much from Fallout 4, because I still think that game isn't so much an RPG as a glorified shooter with a few RPG bits thrown in.
  13. While I myself am a wimp and would rather not fight IRL, I really don't have a problem with violence. In some cases, I believe it to be the best solution. Reason has its limits, and nature is a very violent place. What I don't like is unnecessary violence. It should never be a first resort to get violent, because that is most likely counterproductive. I also don't like cruelty just to prove a point, especially cruelty against animals. I'm not at all against eating meat, but I'm in definite favor of treating the animals well before they're butchered.
  14. Why not steal the trophy and turn myself in? Given how forgiving ponies tend to be, I really don't think the punishment would be that severe. It's noble that Octavia wants to sacrifice herself for me, but that really only makes the situation more difficult to explain. In either case, though, I'm stealing the trophy.
  15. I think that, eventually, she should go back to Equestria. Yes, she has come to love the human world and her friends there, but there's no denying she isn't from there. Aside from that, the Equestrian magic she and her friends possess doesn't belong in the human world and it doesn't seem like a good idea to leave it there in the long term, given what happened in the Reflections arc in the comics. Ultimately, while the choice will be hard and painful, I think Sunset will choose the greater good and return to Equestria, and seal the portal forever.
  16. Most I ever got was six, I think, but usually maybe one or two. I don't really post status updates and I don't post all that often anymore, so no surprises there.
  17. Probably slice of life, romance, and a bit of adventure for me. I usually only read shipping fics when I read fanfics, there are only a few fanfics I've read at all that didn't necessarily involve shipping, all of which were from other fandoms than MLP but shared one trait: they were Peggy Sue fics (not related to Mary Sue), fics where a character goes back in time to relive events with future knowledge. Don't know why, but that genre really draws me in.
  18. I'd be fine with it, really. G4, much as I like it, has pretty much run its course. I hope Hasbro realizes this and will allow the series to end strong, without falling into seasonal rot like many other good shows have done in the past. Honestly, I was already beginning to fear for that in season 6, but that season's second half and most of 7 and 8 have redeemed it for the most part. A G5 with all-new characters and a different setting would allow the show to feel 'new' again, while hopefully retaining the traits that made G4 work so well. Sure, it would take some time to get used to, but I really don't think it's something bad.
  19. I think Rainbow Dash and Starlight could definitely appreciate it, and maybe Rarity as a guilty pleasure, but I'm not too sure about the others. Of course, it also depends on which album they're listening to. I think they'd mostly enjoy Phobia or anything that came later, since a lot of those songs aren't that 'hard', so to speak. I might be projecting here, though, since Phobia is my personal favorite.
  20. As a villain, she was legitimately threatening even though the reason for her turn to evil was rather weak, and as a reformed character I really like her sarcastic side, the way she still tends to use powerful magic as soon as things get tough, and her direct way of saying things. She's really become one of my favorite characters after she was reformed.
  21. Undertale is the one that immediately comes to mind. It has some legitimately brilliant moments and the soundtrack is great, but on the whole the game really isn't much more than just okay, I think. Another one I have to mention is Skyrim. I've got more than 2500 hours in it, I still love playing it, and I still look for new mods every now and then, but it really isn't a fantastic game. Unmodded, I wouldn't even play it anymore. It has too many bugs to count, it was never the most stable even entirely vanilla, a lot of the quests are quite bland, but despite all of those things I keep coming back to it. I do wish they'd finally kill it off and start working on ES6 though.
  22. One of the hardest questions I've seen on these forums. I honestly don't know. I love pepperoni pizzas, and I love good burgers. I have no clue which one I prefer. Right now, probably burgers, but that might be entirely different in five minutes.
  23. I'm from the Netherlands; you pretty much have to learn to ride a bike as soon as possible or you're not going to get anywhere when you're young. That said, I don't currently have a bicycle because I hate riding one in the city I currently live in, and I don't need one because walking, public transport, and my car are good alternatives.
  24. This one for the graphics and music, despite the game only being okay at best. This one for nostalgia's sake. I know it by heart even now, twenty years after it came out.
  25. I would be completely useless. In fact, in an actual end-of-the-world scenario I would probably die during the initial disaster exactly because I'm entirely useless in such a situation. I have zero survival skills. I can't navigate other than by more or less using the sun, I can't forage for food, I can't plant crops, I can't hunt, I can't build. Right now, I'm a programmer. My job is basically 'Google stuff and then copy paste it until it works'. I would be utterly useless in a disaster. I guess I'd be useful as a pack mule, though. Carrying stuff should be within my abilities.
