  1. I had no idea real horses have things called "quarter marks" for an activity called "dressage." http://eventingnation.com/eventingnation.com/images/samanthalclark/IMG_3742.jpg

Decorative designs on horse butts, and a style of English riding where everything is judged on doing it 'right' rather than speed. I rode horses for a long time.

  2. RWBY is made by a small team of people as a web series, they don't really have tons of resources like a powerhouse anime studio. A lot of episodes were animated and written by one or two people, mostly by just Monty Oum alone, and he died early last year. So, it's pretty amazing what they've done with just a small amount of people vs a giant anime studio with tons of production artists, voiceactors, resources, industry experience ect.
  3. I have no idea what this thread is about but to each his own
  4. I would start a business selling medication that claims to help with withdrawal symptoms of the cancellation. In reality the medication would just be M&M's mixed with skittles.
  5. I don't think we even know if she will be born an alicorn, maybe she'll just be a unicorn.
  6. We don't know if that's officially going to be Cadence and Shining armors daughter yet, do we? I think it's just fan speculation, but she's most anticipated because it's easiest to envision her being canon and fitting in to the story.
  7. The greatest calamity was not that there was no love or support... the greater calamity is that you lost the connection to your essence...

  8. As "romantic" an idea as that sounds, it would be a cesspit.
  9. I went to visit my older sister a few months ago in Georgia. We were waiting for some of her friends to show up to this gaming bar and decided to check out a comic book store. We walk in and I just start looking at the cover art for random comics. My sister knows I like MLP and she decides to shout from across the store at the clerk "Hey my brother really likes My Little Pony, do you have any My Little Pony stuff?" There was a group of guys playing Magic in the corner of the store and they all just stopped and stared at me along with the store clerk. I felt like she painted a target on my back. I immediately stopped what I was doing, turned, and walked out the front door. In my head the only thing I could think was "nope, nope, nope." I usually don't have a problem with people knowing I like MLP, I think I was just more embarrassed that my sister was making a big deal about it in public. I think she was just trying to be funny, but she can be really awkward at times.
  10. one of the cutest derpy drawings ever \ o /
  11. Confirmed: actually more fun than infected because hockey

  12. I think the video editing is the best part, and the audio is alright. It's really tough to give critique on the content because the whole video is a lot of personal opinions. It felt like the audience you're talking to are friends and family (people not familiar to fandoms at all), but then you start saying things like "I don't need to explain this, you know already." There wasn't a clear message or idea you were trying to convey. If I didn't know anything about fandoms before this video, I still wouldn't know anything after watching it. There was no real content for people who do know what you're talking about either. It didn't seem like you knew who your audience was, you just skated somewhere in the middle. It really was just a random tangent of thought, seven minutes of you saying "fandoms are weird, let me tell you how weird they are, they are weird, I am weird, I'm self aware that I'm rambling." There wasn't really any content, it felt more like you were halfway confessing some thoughts that have been personally bothering you, but being afraid that what you might say would offend someone, so you ended up not really saying anything at all. Also, you kinda sound like Star_ in how you delivered the message and edited the video. I think you have a good idea for a video, but needs some more work put into it to create a complete idea. How you'd do that is up to you. Just my opinion, take with a grain of salt.
  13. I don't like the intro, but I don't skip it because it's pretty short.
  14. The open server weekend just closed. I was playing around on it a bit. It has a ton of bugs and barely functions as a game (which isn't surprising since it's in Alpha), but it really has a ton of potential to be good. The socializing aspect is really fun. I was playing on the Coltorado server as Whiteout or Melon Blitz.
  15. How many trumpet players does it take to screw in a light-bulb? Twenty (One to screw it in, and nineteen to tell him how they could have done it better).
  16. What's the story behind your name?
  17. Nice arrangement, it sounds pretty nice. I like how it doesn't have much impact, just like real high school marching bands.
  18. They want your monies, if they didn't they wouldn't sell MLP stuff at the store. : D
  19. Getting started on rendering. This part takes the longest, but it's a lot of fun. The biggest change was extending the hind leg braces, I think it looks nicer and balances out design a bit better. Previous entry: https://mlpforums.com/blog/2893/entry-19006-oc-art-remedy-4/
