  1. After reading the numerous posts, more and more ideas started popping into my head, so I had to make another reply . Bullets & Magic: I don't think we have to worry about can unicorns stop bullets: if a bullet is fired, they won't have enough time to react, unless "Pinkie sense" is an ability that can be learned. Also, it would be even harder to react to several bullets. So the only (known) way of them being able to stop bullets, is by having a force field around them 24/7. This would cause problems, since (if I've understood correctly) they can't use magic continuously forever. Another thing to take into account is the strength of a force field. Shining armor's force field was strong: it covered a huge area, it had been there continuously for a long time, Shining Armor had been made weaker, and still changelings couldn't break through without continuous pounding by numerous individuals. We also don't know how that type of force field would work if scaled up or down, which makes it harder to predict what a bullet would do. Also, we don't know how hard it would be for an average unicorn to make a force field, and (if possible) how would their magic work together. An impact of a bullet is different from an impact of a changeling. The bullet is traveling way faster, and distributes the force onto a smaller area, making the pressure higher for that area than a changeling pounding on it. This raises another question: What are the properties of a force field? (Is it more vulnearable to forces on small or large areas?) Celestia & The Sun I'm going to assume that the sun that shines over Equestria is roughly the same size as our sun, and that it is the same distance away as our sun is from Earth. In the episode "The Cutie Mark Chronicles", we see Celestia raising the sun (12:20 - 12:27). The sun rises at a very rapid speed. Assuming that Celestia is actually raising the sun, she is capable of moving huge masses at tremendous speeds from a long distance away. Why wouldn't she take the sun (or another planet) and smash it into our approaching spacecraft, destroying it instantly? Nutrition: The residents of Equestria survive on vegetables and fruits. Thus, they need a lot of land to survive. If we would explode a nuclear device in Canterlot, even if it would have a force field protecting it, the radiation would spread across the land. This would make the production of food impossible for that area, or at least much, much harder. Sooner or later, they would run out of food, and would have to surrender.
  2. But after all that mourning, will they remember you? I'm guessing that my family would miss me. I'm not that close with my family members, but I know how much my mom loves me, so I can say she'd miss me for sure. My friends would notice I'd gone, but I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't be a huge impact to them. Will your online friends from other continents remember about you? I've been talking to one person online for a while, and he is the only person I can trust enough to tell anything about me. I'm sure he would at least notice that I would not be online. I have an old friend back in Singapore, and if he'd get the news of me passing away, I'm sure he would remember me, and all the fun times we had together. For what you will be remembered? My uncle (who is also my godfather) would remember my guitar playing. The students I know from my school would remember my short films and videos. At least one of my teachers would remember my good grades, especially in maths. A friend of mine would remember me because I was the one who got him into film making. In your short life right now, did you do enough to leave your mark on this Earth? No, the only "big" things I would leave would be my videos online, but they are like drops in the rain.
  3. That's awesome, especially the logo thingie in the top left . I still keep on wondering how people manage to draw clothes like that without making them look unrealistic , great job with that too!
  4. Another thing to take into account is the number of unicorns/alicorns capable of magic in Equestria. If there would be enough of them, I'm sure that they would be able to teleport or redirect opposing threats away. Would they know what human weapons do or what they are? If they wouldn't they might not consider them as threats, but as interesting objects that need to be investigated. Would the residents of Equestria know about the incoming attack? If they would, then they could keep an eye on potential threats, and have a much better chance of preventing humans from damaging Equestria. If they wouldn't, humans would probably win with a single nuclear device. How does magic work, when two or more unicorns combine their magic? This has an effect on how big threats could they actually neutralize. For example: Could an average unicorn/alicorn alone take control over an incoming missile? If not, how many unicorns/alicorns would it take? There are a lot of things to take into account when thinking about stuff like this. Some of that stuff can't be known, for example information about ponies/Equestria that hasn't been mentioned on the show. Thus, I have no clue what would happen, there are too many variables for my brain to handle right now . This topic is very interesting, I would love to see a presentation about this sort of stuff !
  5. According to MLP Wikia, Granny Smith is named after an apple cultivar called "Granny Smith" (http://en.wikipedia....ki/Granny_Smith). This would suggest that she has always been called Granny Smith, but I'm guessing that she could have gotten that name later, after she grew up. Who knows, the writers probably didn't think about this, since the name is perfect for her: it suggests that she is old, and it has a connection to apples .
  6. Anything small with long legs. Like spiders. The longer the legs, the more I hate them. I wouldn't classify it as pure fear though, I'd say it is more of a "I don't want you to live and if you run away and hide I will find you and murder you" sort of thing . I also have a small case of claustrophobia. It became clear when I read "Ted the Caver" (Which is the best creepy story ever!) and in that story, the characters want to squeeze through a small hole, and I thought to myself: "I would never ever do that in that situation. EVER.".
  7. I hated the hot dogs that my old school sold, they made me feel nauseous. I haven't tried hot dogs since then. If I would try hot dogs again, I'm guessing i would like them, as long as they aren't low in quality.
  8. Wow, that gun looks awesome! If I would get that book, I would lock myself into my room for a week just to play with Legos again . I remember making Lego guns with my friend when I was small, but they fired rubber bands instead of bricks . The last ones we made were pretty difficult to make, and because they took so much time to make, it wouldn't have been enjoyable to make better versions anymore .
  9. When I read that, it felt like someone had written my inner thoughts, and made them more clear to me . They matched me very well, especially the first one...at least in real life: the way I behave on the internet is way different. Then again, it might be due to the fact that I can find others more like me on the internet than I can in real life...
  10. Usually Coke, but there are times when I prefer Pepsi. Also, Pepsi has more caffeine, and sometimes that's the reason I buy it instead of Coke !
  11. None, but that's basically because there aren't any brony-related products that I could buy offline where I live. And all the pony toys have "real" hair, which is never like the hair they are supposed to have, which is the reason I haven't bought those either.
  12. I haven't volunteered for "real" stuff, like cleaning up the town or working at a retirement house, but I've volunteered for a couple of things at my school. The first one is making a day to "welcome" the new students that come to our school next fall. For me, this means that I have to make a short film with a couple of people to explain the theme of the welcoming day. This sort of thing is common for high schools here, but our school has a habit of taking it a step further: we start planning for it in the spring before the summer vacation, while others begin after it . The second one is tutoring the new students that come to our school. This means that another person and I have a "tutor-group", which is a group of new students that we have to take care of. In practise it means that we have to teach them about how our school works, and try to answer any questions they have . Also, we have to try to make everyone feel welcomed and not to feel alone. This is not fully volunteering since doing it grants us one completed course, but since I have all the courses I need (and WAY more ), it's basically volunteering for me.
  13. When I joined the brony community, I realized that I needed a nickname. I didn't want to use the ones I already had, because most of them were known by my friends, and I didn't want to risk anyone knowing me (Right now that wouldn't be a problem ). The moment I was prompted with a "choose your nickname" box, I basically let my fingers run around the keyboard until something came up . From that day onwards, I decided that Acleps will be my pony-related username.
  14. When I open Chrome, I am presented with YouTube and Facebook. The only reason I made it open Facebook is that a lot of the information that I need to know about stuff is only posted on Facebook, and some of that info is really important to me. I don't want to set this site as my homepage because no one in real life knows that I'm a brony, and I don't want them to find out because of me opening the browser . And besides, I don't need this page to be my homepage thanks to Chrome's auto filling address field: all I need to do is type in "m" and press enter to get here .
  15. There is a forest near me, and I visit it from time to time. The last time I visited, which was last week, I found it to be way more relaxing than I remembered. After that experience, I might go there again soon. The only problem with it is that it's pretty small, and a lot of people go there, so it isn't that "private". There are other forests pretty nearby, but I haven't really visited them. Also, the forest from your video is basically identical to the ones we have here, but I guess it's no surprise since we live in neighbouring countries .
  16. I've never told anyone about MLP in real life. I'm guessing most people here don't even know about the show since it's not translated into my native language, and I know that most people here can't understand English enough to enjoy an English languaged show without subtitles. That's why, to my knowledge, there isn't a lot of bronies here. That makes it harder for me to talk about it: there's no one to back me up. I've only come across two brony references: the first one was a friend of mine teasing (in a friendly way) someone about talking about horses in general, and saying that she's a brony. He was definitely talking about bronies as if being one would be a negative thing. The second one was one of my Facebook friends sending another one a PMV for his birthday, but it was most likely a joke. I've arrived at the decision that I won't deny what I like, but I won't be telling anyone if I don't think it's necessary. That's the reason I probably won't tell my parents about it, there's no reason they need to know, since the show basically doesn't exist here.
  17. Usually Photoshop CS5.5, but if I'm doing something where I have to be really close to edit only a couple of pixels, I use paint. I don't like the grid that Photoshop makes when you zoom really close... For many images which have been taken in a sequence and combined into one file (aka video ), I use Adobe After Effects CS4 (better than CS4 is only for 64bit ) and Sony Vegas 10.0. I have Premiere, but it keeps crashing for no reason...
  18. It usually depends on the day: on a cold winter evening, I'd prefer something like warm blackcurrant juice, but on a hot summer day I would like some refreshing orange juice . I generally don't like pulp, especially when there's more of it than there is juice. But it depends: if I need to drink juice because I need to cool down, I don't want to drink anything that is thick or has pulp; if I want to drink because of the taste, I prefer it being thicker than "normal", and it can contain some pulp. Basically I like every sort of juice (apple juice only if it's pretty mild). Usually I just drink the ones made from concentrates. They aren't that great, and thus I don't drink them because of their taste: I drink them because I'm thirsty .
  19. It's great to get a healthier diet, but like said before, include everything your body needs in it. I don't think I could start being a vegeterian/vegan: honestly, meat-containing foods are (in my opinion) usually better tasting than the ones without . If I would become a vegetarian/vegan, I would know that there's better tasting food available, and I probably couldn't resist changing back . But that's just my my opinion, I know some people like vegetarian food because of the taste.
  20. I hate those people, but I hate these ones even more: I just can't wrap my head around the fact that someone would want 1500-2000 strangers as their Facbook friends...
  21. School days: 1. (At about 8 o'clock) Use computer for various tasks 2. Eat something 3. Brush teeth 4. Get back on the computer (If there is something I need to do/check on the computer, I'll stay up as long as I need to) 5. If homework isn't done, do it. 6. Go to sleep (at around 10:30, but sometimes at 12:00) Weekends: 1. Be on the computer 2. Eat something 3. Brush teeth 4. Be on the computer some more < Repeat step 4 until fully satisfied or too sleepy > 5. Fall unconscious in bed (sometimes as late/early as 7 AM ) Computer time = Pony music, MLP forums, YouTube, Pony videos, Pony streams
  22. I think I just made a successful Sonic Rainboom in After Effects :D

  23. Now you've given me a bit of motivation, I might give it another try in the near future when I have nothing else to do .
  24. Wow... I felt really incapable when I watched the video while coincidentally holding a pen ! I wish I could do something like that, but I think I don't have the time to concentrate on something like that. I actually tried doing the thumb spin a while ago, but I didn't succeed for a while so I thought that my fingers are not meant for spinning . But that's a great job, don't stop now while it's already impressive! You never know how good you can get!
  25. I got a moped when I turned 15, that's the legal age to drive one here. I got it so I could go from place to place faster, but I really didn't use it that much . I still have it , and I'll be using it this summer to travel to my summer job ! I hate the fact that you can't really go fast on a moped (at least not legally ), and on long rides alone it starts getting really boring, especially if the road doesn't have any turns or bumps... Here "moped cars" are really popular too, but they're basically a joke: a small car made of mostly plastic with a ridiculously small engine . They also cost as much as a real car, so I don't understand the point of getting something like that...
